They say they offer full range of plumbing services. So I scheduled am appointment for them to move some drain and water lines for a bath remodel. They said if I accepted the quote they would start the work immediately. It was clear I owed a fee for them to come and provide a quote for the work, which I was perfectly happy to pay. I was impressed how quick and nice they were to this point. Once a tech came on site, the tech said he couldn't figure out how to put the quote together so he had to call another tech to help. Second tech on-site now, for a quote, and they told me I would have to remove the entire sub-floor of the bathroom before they could give me a quote and acted as is if I was crazy for saying there is no way the homeowner is responsible to remove the ENTIRE bathroom subfloor...just for a quote. Needless to say, they never provided a quote. Not only am I upset that they say they offer a full range of plumbing services, because obviously they don't, they misinform homeowners on their responsibilities. If you are paying a plumber to plumb, homeowners are not responsible to prep their work for them. Even after all this, they never provided the quote... but are chasing me to pay the fee. Good luck getting from me, I am disputing the charge over and over with my credit card company. I agreed to pay a fee for a quote. No quote, no fee.

I recently called Dan Wood Co to have a dishwasher installed. I understood that I would pay them $89 to come, look at the job, and give me an estimate. If I chose for them to do the job, the $89 would go towards the price. They quoted me a price of $872 to install my $350 new dishwasher. He told me it would probably take most of the day. This was a replacement, mind you, and had plumbing and electric right there. Needless to say, I gave them the $89 and said no thank you. Today I had it installed by someone else for $100 and it took an hour. I will never call them again!

Customer service was a joke. When you hire a person to fix something for you and he is unprofessional and insults you as if he is above you, you don't hire them again! Mr. Downing, you have no people skills and it shows by the way you act toward them. Just a jerk.

Our family used to use Dan Wood company exclusively, they were always great. A touch higher pricing, but it was worth it.
We now have used Dan Wood plumbing twice in the last 7 months.
Pricing is WAY OUT OF LINE! OUTRAGEOUS!
Flat rate prices, they say. Yeah because it only takes 5-15 minutes to fix the problem, yet they charge you $180-300+ dollars, or more!
Crazy, they have either become money hungry, or their overhead is out of control and the consumer is going to pay for it!!!
Stay away, call Zimmerman! They are much more reasonable.
I don't see the Christian values that Dan Wood company used to advertise, now it just looks to be greed!!!!

Super expensive called them once had leaking and need some repairs to furnace and tune up not that there is much to tune up anymore just another way to get your money, guy came out looked at furnace said you have a leak I said yes that's why I called you, he could not do it never changed filter did anything else and wanted me to pay $120.00 I said you didn't do anything! Call your boss the owner said I still had to pay a service call and lowered it to $60.00 which I shouldn't of paid, but did and said when you do good work everyone knows when you do bad work ( or literally no work) everybody will know. Would NEVET call them again and feel sorry for the PEOPLE when I see their truck in someone's drive RIP OFF!!!!!!!!

Typical contractors that will take advantage of you. Be sure to call around and get prices from everyone. I was unfortunately not home while my home had a backed up kitchen line. The upstairs sink was draining into the bottom sink and it was disgusting. Someone came to look at it and they fixed the problem but charged a very dishonest amount of $450. The job took less than an hour and only involved running a mechanical snake through the line. You can rent those for much cheaper and do it yourself. My job is within this line of work and this is completely outrageous. I would recommend finding someone else that will assess the problem honestly and charge you appropriately.

While we were selling our home, I had a plumber and an electrician come do the task as requested from the inspection. The guys (Darrel and Heath) knew what they were doing, were very thorough and professional, and then were very attentive to completing the repairs in the most cost-effective manner. I was looking for a professional company that I knew I could count on and Dan Wood Plumbing came through for me. While they aren't the cheapest, I was OK paying for quality and service. For me it was worth it. I highly recommend Dan Wood, and more specifically Chris the technician, for any of your plumbing needs.

Save your money! Called them out for a clogged sink they said they needed my cc number to ""hold my appointment"" that was my first mistake. I knew there would be a fee to come out and that was fine we've had them out before for ac and no problems there. Two guys come they take 20 mins to get out of the vehicle come into the house and before they even look to see what is wrong they say $400.00 flat rate. So if the job is 150.00 and takes 30 mins they are still going to charge you 400.00 and that's the discount from 465.00. Not one time did the person on the phone when I made the apt tell me there was a flat rate. Again never have they done this before with my previous apts. We told the guys to leave. They went to their van and took another 30 mins to write a 20 word invoice out for the 69 dollar service charge that they did nothing while they were here and they could of saved us time and money if they told us over the phone the truth. Giving them the cc number over the phone really isn't for ""holding the apt"" it was so they can get paid the 69 dollars even after they come and try to scam you out of more money. This is at best very deceptive business practices they stayed for 1 min and did nothing and got paid 69 dollars what a scam. Why does it take 30 mins to write out an invoice and take two guys to clear a clogged pipe? Who knows, when I called the company after they left to get answers they just didn't care. Lesson learned we got scamed out of $69 dollars and we will never call them back again and we will tell our neighbors not to use them either.

My furnace went out while I was out of town so I told
the wife to call Dan wood. His $69 service call was a bargain but charging $272 for a $50 hot surface igniter is ridiculous to say the least. The tech was at my house for 30 minutes tops. Dan wood you have made your last call to my house and likely to the house of anyone I know.
