Recommended Customer Reviews

The company responded to my Facebook review. Apparently the plumber on call was mistaken and they do not charge overtime for situations like the one I experienced. They told me to contact someone directly who was very kind, helpful and understanding. The reason I'm not giving a higher review is because I was told they would be there between 11 and 2 and they didn't arrive until 3:30. Again, I understand things happen but if you don't have the time/luxury to sit around, I would recommend a different company. I will say the plumbers were incredibly nice and fixed the problem quickly!

Sure wish I had read the other reviews before I called Dallas Plumbing Company. Lesson learned. My wife discovered a wet carpet in her closet Monday morning and I immediately called DPC, getting an appointment for Tuesday AM. Josh Brewer arrived quickly and assessed the problem as a hot water leak under our patio. He assured us the repairs would be completed by the weekend and called the excavators to start digging. They dug all day Tuesday and returned on Wednesday, leaving at noon. Josh told me to call him at any time if we had questions or problems, but when I called, I got the office and the lady scheduler didn't have us on the schedule. I asked her to have Josh call me. Nothing. So I called back late in the afternoon and got the same story. It is now Friday and my calls have resulted in being told "Josh will try to get your job completed on Monday, but all the plumbers are in training today". I suggested "Communication" and "Customer Service" might be included in that training. I now have a five-foot deep hole (with tunnel under the house, a five-foot pile of dirt on our patio, no hot water and a very upset wife on my hands, with no firm promise of when they might or might not return to complete the job. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

First visit:
Arrived on time. After one hour on site announced that he had stripped a nut in the assembly. He called the mfg. co (Blanco) but they indicated they did not send parts to individuals and he would have to go to a retailer. He then told reviewer that I would be responsible for replacing the part he damaged. He DID leave me with the diagram assembly instructions with the damaged part marked. (THEY should have found a replacement part themselves.)
After 2 weeks of searching to replace the part, I was able to get the replacement part.
Second Visit:
Appointment was set for 915am.
830am - no warning call as promised.
930am - no plumber
945am - Called office. Was told "the plumber" had an emergency. Unable to make call. She said that office had called me AND left a voicemail that another plumber would come "later". My cell phone did NOT have an incoming call logged from them - NOR was there any voicemail. She did not know WHEN the replacement would arrive. I told her to call, find out and call me back immediately as I had appointments.
1028am - Office finally calls back and says it will be 2pm - which I agreed to
1133am - Office calls (as I am walking out the door) and says plumber is on his way.
1210pm - Plumber arrives. After just a few minutes he shows me that was the nut stripped by the first plumber, but the connecting sprayer hose was also stripped and warped by the first plumber. There is no way to complete the job. I am told I need to get the sprayer hose replaced by the mfg. company - AGAIN no offer to track it down by the company.
THIS COMPANY WILL NOT GET A THIRD CHANCE - DO NOT USE THEM

No follow through!!! They came out the next day and meticulously measured my house for a new 5 ton air conditioner. I was promised a quote the next day. That was three weeks ago, and I haven't heard a peep.
Another company came out the day after I called them and gave me 5 quotes within 30 minutes for different systems and level of repair. Then they did the work the next day (on a Saturday).
If Dallas Plumbing Company can't give me a simple estimate, why would I want to let them replace my air conditioner?

Plumber arrived on time to assess why water heater was leaking. After short assessment, said it was shot and would shut if off, but he would set things up so neighboring tank would be operable while I figured out long term plan/replacement. Next thing i know is I see the plumber soaking wet running around the front yard. I look in the garage and water is pouring down from the attic where tanks are located. He had broken a pipe and was now needing to shut off main water line. I give the plumber credit, he called a cleaning crew right away to get water off floors and set up six fans to dry out ceiling and attic. He said "they(dallas plumbing) would take care of it". After 2 hours, i'm presented with a bill that plumber said is discounted to take into consideration the wasted time on the broken pipe/water damage. I dont think it was discounted. In any event, I paid as I wanted the event to be over with and I just wanted the hot water from the remaining tank to be accessible again. He said the water from that tank should be hot again in about an hour. Well ~20 hours later and still no hot water. I called them, and fortunately after some complaining I was moved to the top of their schedule. Two guys arrived fairly quickly and corrected the problem in about 30 minutes.
13 days have passed and I havent seen them coming / offering to take care of the ceiling damage caused by the original plumber. Im guessing i never will.

Called them on Saturday so that I could get in line for service on Monday.
Today is Monday:
1.They did not call me Monday morning. Strike one.
2. Strike two. I called them at 09:15 am (they open at 07:00). I asked them about my call from Saturday. "Oh, we haven't checked those calls yet".
3. Strike 3. I told them that I have no water to the house. They said the earliest they could get to me would be tomorrow afternoon. These people have no sense of urgency.
4. Strike 4. I had to dial through a menu system to get to a person.
Cost: $99 for first half hour, $55 for each half hour afterwords. One man.

Unless you're looking for a way to multiply your utility bills nearly 10-fold and take cold showers for months, bankrupt, discourage and stress your family, never call Dallas Plumbing Co.
The short story: It is stunning how dishonest and untrustworthy this company is. They diagnosed an insanely expensive repair job - $3471 - to dig under our slab foundation and fix a hot water pipe. The company refused to stand behind their work and admit they had made a mistake when the next months' bills showed the problem had greatly worsened. Dallas Plumbing then attempted to charge us for unauthorized repairs on another pipe, all while claiming that they needed to do additional diagnostic work to find the original problem. Bottom line, it has taken nearly 3 months and $3,471.00 to have nothing fixed, numerous arguments with an incredibly rude, belligerent, lying, snake of a plumber (Brian Giboney), we still have no hot water, and there is no end in sight. Even sadder is the fact that their boss, Mark Wissler, doesn't see anything wrong with this situation.

The first hint not to use this company is the fact they are so reluctant to give you any sort of price range. I understand that you cannot give me an exact price, but I did describe the issue so I would think a price range is fair. I mean is it going to be a couple hundred or a couple thousand?? People do not just have a couple thousand laying around, so I would need to plan if it is going to be that high. Regardless of that, I still asked them to come by (shame on me).
They got to my house and looked at where the problem is. They told me that the issue was my sprinkler system and they gave me 2 choices of how it can be fixed. 1. They could cap off the system to stop the leak but I would not be able to use my sprinkler; or 2. They could dig up both sides of my sidewalk and replace the piping which would take much longer. I do not use my sprinkler system and I wanted this to be completed soon, so I chose option 1. They said if I wanted to replace the pipe at a later time I could. They spent a couple hours doing the work, only to tell me that that didn't fix the issue and the pipe is still leaking. They could come back tomorrow and fix the actually issue but I would still have to pay for what they did today. So basically out of the 2 choices they gave me, the second choice is what would have actually fixed the problem and the first choice did nothing. I find it ridiculous that they would tell me what the issue is, give me options and then tell me that they really just spent time fixing nothing but it will cost me $250.
A decent company would have apologized and then offered to fix the real problem not charging me for the nonsense that was done today. I will not be using this company in the future not will I be recommending it to any homeowners I know.

We truly appreciate the level of service and urgency the the DPC staff provided this week on our new A/C unit and ductwork, which is precisely why Dallas Plumbing Co continues to retain my family's service for life for a 2nd generation.
Thorough and thoughtful estimate; methodical, professional, heads-down technicians who left working spaces cleaner than they found them.

After reading some great reviews of Dallas Plumbing Co, I thought I might have found my plumbing company. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
I moved into my home on Monday and quickly realized that my laundry room was not setup for a gas dryer, and I had a gas dryer. I called on Monday mid-day to see if someone could come take a look. They were able to send someone out the next day on Tuesday.
The plumber showed up within the specified timeframe. He took a look and said it should a very easy job since the water heater was on the other side of the same wall with a bigger than normal valve, which it make it easier to split. He said I should expect to receive a proposal later that night or Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday afternoon, I called the office to follow up. I left a voice message for the actual tech who came out. I also sent him an email.
It's Thursday afternoon, and I still haven't heard back.
I will be taking my business elsewhere,
