Recommended Customer Reviews

This actually occured back in August, but I put the bill aside to remind me to write this review and it just surfaced in my office stack of papers. I had Dale Plumbing come out in hopes to have my fireplace repaired. He charged me $149 for being here for about 20 minutes. Then he called me back to tell me they could not locate the part (Not their fault) and couldn't do anything more for me. They were very nice throughout the process, but $149 for no more than 20 minutes without any repair work seems high to me.

Installed faucet, dishwasher airgap and garbage disposal for a new kitchen sink. Installed new plumbing to connect to the existing wall waste line and connected the airgap. The installation of the new fixtures were excellent. He did a great job in connecting the waste drainage piping to the wall waste line using steel & PVC piping material and not simple flex line plumbing connections. He was thorough in assuring the plumbing was working properly with no leaks.
Cut out existing gas line under the house that is going to the stove, and run new line to the new location of the stove up through the floor. Be onsite and perform the gas line inspection for permit validation. The work crew was punctual and very professional both on the initial installation and later when a service person came to demonstrate to the city inspector that the gas line met the required standards.

Dale Plumbing is the company you want to call for any job big or small. We were fortunate to get referred to Dale Plumbing by a friend. We have had major issues with plumbing and sewer since our home was constructed in post WWII and none of the original lines have been replaced. Dale Plumbing recently replaced our sewer line and water main outside. I recommend them for several reasons: they get the job started and completed in a timely fashion; they are honest and have taken the time to answer all our questions; all their employees have been very courteous; they do great work; and they do a great job cleaning up the job site. Looking forward to having them replace all our indoor pipes with copper and installing a tankless water heater.

Dale plumbing has saved us twice now. They are always fast, friend, and reasonably priced.

Our fireplace stopped working over a year ago and I finally called Dale Plumbing to assess the damage. Eric came out and within 30 minutes our fireplace was working again. Turns out a spider web was the big culprit. Thanks to Eric and Dale Plumbing, we're able to enjoy our backyard like it was designed to be used.

We called DP and requested James to help us install an outdoor firepit to our gas line. Not only did he do an excellent job with the installation, he also gave us some helpful tips on maintenance and showed us how to safely operate the firepit. The icing on the cake was when he helped us remove the old one and put it away in our basement. We'd highly recommend James to anyone looking to work with a friendly professional with a great attitude.

Dale Plumbing (DP) should not be in this business when they do not disclose and still continue to charge customers a rate of $149/hr. for both 1. to repair (professional Plumber's Licensed Labor Time ) and 2. to go to the house and local hardware store (Licensed Driver's Time). We called for Doug Behr and discovered DP took over and subsequently destroyed their legacy of ""professionalism"". Plumbers are paid for specific commute Time, quality Materials, professional Labor. Why are we charged at $149/hr for Driving Time when it's a basic skill and so it should be less than the plumber's Labor Time, are we wrong? The bill showed a total of 3.5hrs FOR ONLY 2 CATEGORIES, TIME & MATERIAL. It did not differentiate between 3 categories that I asked for: TIME-MATERIAL-LABOR. So we were never notified of the cost of materials nor the high driving time rate when we requested clarification of such an pricey invoice, which we already paid in full, less $3-$4 to round down, at .005 of the total), and we let them know we respect everyone's time, but we are disappointed in their scheme to not keep track or itemize or recognize the difference between work on site time vs. driving time. Stay away from them because it's just not right to be charging $149/hr. for both uses of time at the same high rate. For an 8 mile & 15 minute trip...even if they made several trips...who would agree to pay that for a driver? We tried to hire the most local pros., and could not believe this new business when they charged me for a plumber as if he was driving to my house from Napa. They continue to try to collect $3-4, so we are reporting this to alert others to hire responsible and reasonable professionals who understand and listen to what customers need. Our lesson learned is to keep everyone honest and recognize through YELP first...(we didn't know to come here first). How can we trust & respect all Professionals for their timely licensed work, if you continue to practice over-charging us for your commute?

Harry and James Jr did an awesome job installing a new gas line from the front of our garage to the back fireplace for an insert and barbecue. They were very patient and accommodating in answering my questions and discussing the options as it was not a straight forward route. They worked diligently throughout the day in order to complete all of the work in one day.

Dale Plumbing has been extremely responsive on several occasions when we've needed service. Eric has been to our house to fix problems with both our furnace and gas fireplace, and was knowledgeable, efficient, and totally professional. He's very quick in diagnosing problems and implementing fixes. Totally satisfied!

The work done to clear out a clogged pipe was fine but I was stunned that the $149/hour charge STARTS from the time they leave, not from the time they agree to be at your home.
So while the work on the clogged pipe was done in an hour, I paid extra for the time it took them to drive to my house from whereever they started! That bumped up my bill to $186, so I effectively paid $40 for their travel time.
Live and learn. Next time I look for a plumber I will ask if they start billing from the time they are supposed to be at the house or from the time they leave somewhere to arrive at my house.
