Recommended Customer Reviews

Mike Kiernan from Daggett Plumbing is a first-rate plumbing contractor.
Mike is not inexpensive, but he is very competent, knowledgeable, and completely straightforward. I have used Daggett Plumbing for about twenty years now, and I have likely saved a great deal of money as Mike works quickly and efficiently, and never suggests that you consider unnecessary work. Mike makes every effort to
do repairs as promptly as possible, and is absolutely trustworthy. He has completed several repairs in my home in my absence, and cleans up when the work is completed.
I appreciate that this review is very, very favorable, and I do have some mixed feelings about providing it to Yelp readers: you know, when you find a really good service provider and kind of wish to keep it a bit of a secret--so the contractor will not get too busy and be less available. After all these years, I have broken down and yielded to more altruistic impulses.

I haven't used him but I called him based on a recommendation from a friend. He was out of town but took the time to call me back and recommend other plumbers to use. He had names and phone numbers ready and was very friendly. That is pretty amazing these days. He is on my list of good people.

Talk about a nice guy. Mike came out to fix a leak under my kitchen sink which a previous plumbing company originally came out to ""fix."" The other company was trying to sell me on ""rebuilding"" the pipe for $275 with no guarantee that that was the problem. They also left a wet mess on my floor and under the sink when they took everything apart. Mike confirmed my suspicion that the other company was off base in their assessment. (There was no way to rebuild the pipe or change its configuration because of the way the house plumbing was constructed.) But as it turned out, the scam artists might have actually fixed the leak by jamming my parts back together with a new seal and some bondo gunk.. Mike ran the water and tested it for me but because Mike didn't really have fix anything, he didn't charge me for his time to come out on a service call. I will definately call Mike again. He's honest and considerate and dependable.

Mike is lovely and personable and a genius at all things plumbing. He returns calls and gets the job done.

Unfortunately I can't review Mike's services, but rather the lack thereof. I called three days in a row, leaving voice mail messages, and never hearing back from him.

After a terrible plumbing experience with an different local plumber I decided to give Mike a shot. He showed up on time. Listened very patiently to my rambling description of what we thought was wrong. He then went item by item and checked everything out. He fixed what needed fixing and told us what we could do on our own to correct a couple of the smaller issues.
He was very friendly took care of everything in a timely manner.
I don't mind a little electrical work or getting dirty in the yard but I hate plumbing. Mike will be our go to plumber for as long as we are in San Anselmo.
I could not recommend him more. Thanks again Mike!

Mike has fixed so many plumbing problems for me and my family members over many years----our own homes and several rental properties. I trust him completely: he is competent, honest, easy to work with. When possible, he gives advice over the phone. Highly recommended!

I've relied on Mike at Daggett Plumbing in San Anselmo for a number of years now. He is always helpful, whether it's installing a garbage disposal, fixing the inside plumbing, hooking up outside pipes, or even giving me advice on how to do the job myself to save money. He'll even direct you to another service provider more appropriate to the task if he doesn't think you need a plumber. He's on time, courteous, and does great work - as good as it gets.

Perhaps nothing strikes fear into the hearts of homeowners more than placing their trust in a contractor who is dishonest or doesn't know what he's doing. Sure, we fear fires and earthquakes, but we can't control those things. We have complete control over who we hire to repair and upgrade our house.
Plumbing is a black hole for me. Put a blowtorch in my hand and it's a trip to the emergency room at Marin General. Furthermore, water being so central to our survival of human beings, I leave plumbing to the professionals, lest I end up having to drink dirty, chlorinated poolwater to survive after I've caused Old Faithful to gusher in the crawlspace under my house.
Enter Mike at Daggett Plumbing. My friend who is in plumbing supply recommended Daggett - how much better of a recommendation can you get?
The first thing about Mike is that he's HONEST. He actually tries to help you over the phone in order to help you avoid incurring unnecessary charges. He charges only for the time that he's working and not a minute more.
Secondly, he explains things clearly. You know what he's doing and why.
Third, he's practical. He provides you with options and generally recommends the most economical one, while also making sure you understand the future ramifications of that.
Fourth, he's a friendly guy who you trust in your house. He grew up in Marin, and took over the business from his uncle. Daggett has been around for 70+ years.
Fifth, he's prompt. With us, he returned calls quickly and set appointments for the same or next day.
We've been fortunate to find some great professionals to help us with home improvement and repair. Daggett Plumbing is 5 stars!
