Our guest bathroom toilet was rocking and getting worse daily. A plumber friend of a friend said the flange was busted and recommended a metal flange which no one had on Saturday. Plus, he didn't seem interested in trying to get anything done that day (came in a white t-shirt and shorts like he had plans that afternoon) and said we would have to wait until Monday - plus I didn't like his vibe. He left the toilet disconnected for the weekend. I didn't think it would be a problem (since it wasn't my bathroom) but my sister had a fit, so I called three other plumbers in my area and all went to voicemail. I saw the reviews on Yelp and called Rik Sorenson at 9:45am Sunday morning. He answered on the second ring and said he would be out within an hour. He was right on time. When he looked at it, the flange was cracked very badly and had already been repaired by someone. He wasn't sure he could fix it, but he said he would give it a try. He chiseled out the old one and put in a metal one and caulked the toilet. Completely done within an hour and a half. Very reasonably priced considering it was a Sunday, short notice and alittle more involved than it should have been. This is my "go to" plumber from now on! HIGHLY recommend!

Rik is great. He showed up within an hour of my calling him. He is punctual and really just a nice guy. He tried to remove a phone from the toilet, but it wouldn't come out. When it came to replacing the toilet, he took my recommendation on where to get a less expensive toilet when the toilet he found was $600. When I called the store to ask how much the toilet was that he purchased, they told me it was $501. Rik gets a contractor discount (which they don't quote), but I fully expected he would charge the list price. When I asked Rik the cost of the toilet, he told me $455, which is under the list price. He could easily charge clients ($501 + tax), but he did not. I was shocked. Talk about an honest guy. I highly recommend him if you are looking for someone who is professional, nice, hardworking, and who won't rip you off.

Never got a call back after leaving a message for what I assumed to be a simple fix. Maybe the job was too small or too far? Maybe he simply forgot to call back.
People calling due to plumbing issues should get an answer either way. Either yes, I'll be there or no, I can't make it. Simply being left to wonder doesn't fly. One star sir.
According to other reviewers, you're great at what you do. Their reviews are exactly why I called you first, but your lack of a return call means I went to the next best reviewed and had great success and proceeded to give 5 stars.

Yeah, these guys are legit. I called them out for a leaky toilet tank and told them "not a rush job, just get to it whenever you can in the next few days" They were at my house within 2 hrs.
I would fully recommend these guys. Seemed very honest, and was straight forward about what I needed and recommended a couple of solutions.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
Rik overcharges on time and repairs.
This company is very skilled adding services to your bill.
Extends time to increase fees.
Charges 35.00 to install a washer on a part that he removed.
Charges 15.00 for the use of his machine.
Charges for walking from his car to the sink.
Charges for walking from your location to his car.
He charges for getting lost.
Charges for opening your door.
You won't get an estimate of repairs and only will find out what it will cost until he is ready to walk out the door.
His tool is to nickel and dime a job until he has milked every nickel out of it.
Our repair usually cost about $100.00 to $140.00 max. Over the years we have had the same job done at least five times. Dahawaiianplumber was outrageously expensive.
However, he did unglog a sink drain...amazing.
We were charged $230.00 for a $100.00 job.Beware

Rik was awesome! Professional, quick, and reasonably priced. Would definitely use again.

I needed to change my kitchen faucet but i couldn't remove my old faucet. So I decided to find me a plumber. I called a few plumbers I found on yelp but went straight to voicemail. But, Da Hawaiian Plumbers came thru. Ross was fast and efficient, very friendly, and cost was cheap. I recommend these guys to anyone with a broken pipe!!!! Great Service!!!

I called Rik because of the great YELP reviews. I too will give the highest rating.
Rik answered his phone promptly, gave me a day and time and arrived when promised.
The work was professional, clean and fast.
The price was reasonable , everything was itemized and he said to call if any problems.
Will use him again for plumbing issues and would highly recommend these folks.

Rick found time to come by and fix our plugged toilet problem on a hot Sunday night. We tried to snake it ourselves but nothing. We tried to call our regular guys who would have done the job for an estimated $98 but they had no one available.
Found Da Hawaiian Plumber because of high reviews on Yelp and at first he wasnt able to come, but when I told him I'd call him the next day (I was going to try to find someone could come out - no showers, no toilet, no way) he said he could come between 7pm and 8pm. I was then 5pm. His estimate was $150.
He arrived on Hawaiian Time (8:05) and seemed to know what he was doing. At first he checked for sewer access pipes, then said he'd snake it from the toilet but itd have to come off. Okay whatever, just fix it, the kids need a shower and I really had to go #2.
A half hour later it wasnt working so he had to go to an outside sewer access and 30 mintues later he pulled out a soggy ball of wet wipes.
BAD KIDS!!!
The bill shocked us. $288 dollars!
Apparently its $155 plus $85 for pulling off the toilet plus a $35 service charge? Woulda been nice if he mentioned the charge first.
A big, big plus for coming out on a Sunday evening but man, I am broke now...

AVOID. He came to fix our leaking bath facuets ($500), and here we are a couple months later having to call another plumber. Why? Because Rick has not answered his phone for the past week and has not returned any messages. Old houses have problems, so we weren't upset - we just wanted to talk to him and see what he thought about why it was leaking again, not knowing if it was the job he did or just our old house.
The plumber we have now immediately asked who fixed it last and said to have him come back and fix his work because he installed the wrong parts. We told him we've tried calling the last plumber with no reply, so we're paying the new plumber to fix it now.
This company has good reviews on Yelp but don't let that fool you. I see another review in the past month that says he's not answering/returning calls either, so maybe he went out of business or something else came up. If that's the case, he should change his voicemail so current and perspective customers don't waste their time.
AVOID!!
