I needed a exterior gas line replaced. Sevacko Plumbing was sent through the Home Serve program I have with my utility company. Service was excellent. Trey and Glenn worked neatly and efficiently and were courteous and and personable. They answered the questions I had and also offered some good alternatives to a drainage problem I was having. I would definitely use this company again because of the two young men that were sent to take care of the problem.
Alan F.My water heater suddenly quit producing hot water after almost six years since moving into my house. I tried to re-start it by looking at the instructions on the unit, but never having done it before, I could not get it going. Since I have a service warranty I called that company, who contacted Sevacko. Their office called me within a hour. I gave them information off the unit & was told they could not get parts for it & would be there the next day. And at about 8:00am, they were here as promised. Two guys came in a large truck, so I imagine they were prepared to replace the water heater if necessary - but it wasn't. They were able to get it started & were gone in 15 minutes. Hopefully I learned by watching them. They could have installed the new unit & the warranty company would not have known anything, but they were honest & as a homeowner or business owner, that's as important as anything else.
They tried talking me onto work that didn't need done. ($$$$). Charged me $265.00 for snaking my sewer. They had a snake that was and did not fit in my drain they tried to talk me into cutting my cast iron to put another clean out in but the cast iron pipe already had a clean out that they refuse to use they never got the clog I'm done I hired another plumber he had a smaller snake took him less than 5 minutes to fix the problem
We love Sevacko Plumbing! From the customer service rep to the servicemen, they are all friendly, nice, professional, respectful, gives updates on what they are doing and what to expect. They also clean up everything after the project is finished. We have HomeServe and it is a very good plan to have. That is how we found Sevacko Plumbing and I request them every time.
Aja J.I discovered a sewage backup in the basement and garage late this morning. I called our line protection company who said I would receive a call from a qualified plumber today or the next. No more than 5 minutes passed before I received a call from Corey at Sevacko. He was at my house within 15 minutes and snaked everything right away. I can't comment on the price since it was covered by a third party but I can comment on the extremely courteous and quick service!
Rob P.Had an emergency issue with a clogged drain in the basement. I contacted Sevacko and a technician (Cory) came out within 30 minutes. He took care of the issue, made sure to give tips about what to do to help prevent it in the future, and also answered questions that he probably didn't need to. He cleaned up afterwards and was very friendly throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, family-owned plumbing company!
Paul P.Had a late night clogged main drain in the house, and DR Sevacko was dispatched by the Home Serve warranty I have through my utility company. Early the next morning, two fellows showed up, and they did a great job with both clearing the clog, and running water to make sure all was draining efficiently. They cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.
Very professional and friendly...literally couldn't have done a better job. Thank you for helping clear up my plumbing issue!
My elderly mother had a water heater installed on Friday I went over Sunday to see the pipe leaking all over the carpet which was already wet from it leaking for the last week until I found someone who could ""fix it"" it looks like they installed a brand new water heater! I had to call a friend to tell me how to turn it off until they could come out Monday morning and ""fix it"" (someone finally returned my call after leaving three messages) The gentleman called me Monday morning from my moms house as I was at work and told me it was not leaking. OK so maybe it fixed itself the neighbor went over tonight to find it leaking again! The bucket was overflowing onto the already wet carpet. My mother told me that the gentleman told her he could not do anything about it tonight because he was already home. I had to call my mom's next-door neighbor and walk her through how to turn it off. The gentleman now told my mother that she needs another $275 part to fix it, she is 85 years old and does not know what to do. GREAT SERVICE!!! DO NOT Recommend this company at all!!!!
Don't trust D.R. Sevacko Plumbing. The Owner will tell you whatever you want to hear, but when the workers show up, they're like bulls in the China shop. The very last thing on the workers minds are you and your property.
A few days prior, my wife and I met the Owner to review the new gas service project. We discussed how the project will be conducted and in particular, how to protect a valuable shrub that had sentimental value. I offered to move the shrub prior the project, but he said that's not necessary, the guys will work around it.
The day of work, I reminded the workers about the shrub and stayed around to help if needed. After an hour or so, I left the work area and returned in about 10 minutes. Within that 10-minute window, they quickly moved the backhoe from the curb across the lawn to the house, and pulled the shrub out of the ground and dump it on top of the flower bead. No warning and they did not ask for permission. I actually think they waited till I left the area to pull the shrub. It's easier for them.
Well, the shrub had no chance surviving. No root ball and the roots that were still attached to the plant, were exposed to the air. Simply no dirt was left. I complained. I was told, ""We're plumbers and not landscapers."" Yep, that's what they said.
I called D.R. Sevacko Plumbing the next work day to complain. The blocker asked me why I wanted to talk to him, so I told her the story. She put me on hold and returned in a few minutes saying, the Owner (Dave) ""is not available."" (I'm sure he was sitting right there.)
I never received the call-back I asked for.
Final thought. This was an insurance paid project. I bet they charged the insurance company a ""landscaping"" fee too.
That was my experience and are my opinions.
Billy D.I was given a 2 hour window to obtain an estimate for services. After waiting at the site I called the office to see when the owner would arrive to learn they had to reschedule. We rescheduled for a 1 hour window later on that day with the mutual understanding that it was an extreme inconvenience for me to get to the house that needed an estimate as it was very far out of my way for both appointments. I was very explicit. Again, after waiting I called the office to see when the owner would arrive to learn that they again would not be showing up at all today and needed to reschedule. While I understand things happen and plans change, I at the very least expected a notification before I went out of my way, again. Furthermore, the ""Office Manager"" wouldn't even apologize and chalked it up to business as usual and refused to take any ownership. All around awful business practices. I probably dodged a bullet in all honesty if this was how I was treated in the short time I attempted to give them business. I called a local competitor who scheduled an appointment without any range of hours immediately after.
