Outstanding!
First-time customer... they treated us like a long-time customer. Fast, knowledgeable, courteous family owned and operated local business... can't beat that!
We called at 8 AM with a water heater problem. By 10:30 AM the first available plumber had arrived and by shortly after 11:00 AM the faulty part was replaced and our water was heating up.
Next time we need a plumber, we're calling D. Martel!

I have had two recent urgent plumbing problems. First our pressure regulator blew which shut off all water to the house. Called D Martel Plumbing and had Trevor show up within about an hour. He fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Second, we had a mysterious leak in the kitchen. Again Trevor showed up within an hour of my original call and found and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. That is really great service! And the damage he prevented to our hardwood flooring would have been much more expensive to fix. Thanks guys.

Trevor did an awesome job replacing my shower valve. He had to cut and remove the old and sweat on the new valve. Not an easy job. Trevor prepared the area, measured for fit and found the valve I had was not going to fit without a bunch of changes. He recommended a Moen valve which he had on hand. The fit was much better and offered the optimum fit. I'm very happy with D Martel and with Trevor who has great customer service

What a nice experience. Prompt even early arrival. Written estimate. Installation just as promised. Helped with permit. Water heater passed city inspection on first go.
Have passed their name on to friends.
Thank You

Excellent service and response time. Have used D Martel for over 10 years and they are number one in my book. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Trevor came down to my house to give us a free diagnosis on the water heater problem after me spending hours talking to my Home Warranty company who would not come out until tomorrow.
He was right on time and gave me a quote to replace. Honest opinion and quote since I had a quote from another company.
We went ahead and replaced the water heater with the company. They came at 11 am to diagnose and started the replacement at 12. By 1 they were done.
Amazing service, and very good / knowledgeable technicians.
5 star! keep up the good work.
Thanks for making my wife happy and now my life is happy. :)

They are always very courteous and get their work done quickly. I have been using them for years and never had any issues with their work. Last time I had them out, the guy remembered that I had a baby so he knocked lightly instead of ringing the bell. Another time he noticed we had a new showerhead as he was headed out and offered to put it on for us real quick no charge. Just very kind and friendly people that know what they're doing.

I replaced all of the cheap gray plastic pipe in my house about 25 years ago, save for the risers to the kitchen sink and the refrigerator. A pinhole leak developed in the plastic hot water riser for the sink, under the house, very near where the connection was made to the main supply and I was just not up to doing the work needed to replace the plastic with copper (I've never been good at sweating solder connections on existing pipe.). I left instructions and said I'll fix any sheetrock damage they needed to do.
I wasn't home when they came out and talked the wife into drilling through the floor and relocating the valves outside the wall under the sink. My wife called me and, while I thought it a bit unprofessional, agreed over the phone. They were still working on it when I got home. instead of copper, they decided to go with something called ""PEX"" (Which looks way cheaper than the stuff that broke) and secured the top ends of it with the shutoff valves through the sheet rock and into the studs under the sink with a single screw through copper pipe hanger clamps. It looks like a failed science experiment. Even the valves are unmatched and cheap. One is chrome plated plastic that I expect (if I were to leave it alone) will last all of 18 months.
Under the house, they simply reused the temporary tees I installed so long ago, clamping the PEX to the admittedly poorly soldered connectors.
Their excuse for not using the copper I asked for and to put it inside the wall, where it belongs was that they ""didn't want to burn my house down with a torch"". I asked if this was the current standard and was told ""Yes. I'd do this in my own house."" I needed the leak stopped and they had most of the ""work"" done, so I let it go.
A professional would have been able to solder some soft copper tubing to a valve and then insert it down through the existing holes and secure the valve to a stud. (Did you catch the part where I said I'd fix any sheetrock damage done?) Not a lot of effort, but, apparently, too much for the $425 they charged me. Simply removing 3/4 inch of the broken end and reattaching it would have been a better fix. I'm only giving one star because they did stop the leak.
Live and learn.
Looks like I'll be doing some plumbing in the near future. I can't believe what was done could pass an inspection. I added pics to share with anyone who wants to see an example of their work product.

Great staff and Service. Trevor knows his stuff and instantly installed my plumbing. no problems and would call for his help anytime!! thanks

We had a problem with the water main which I tried to fix myself on Tuesday. My repairs leaked and there was dirt in the line, so I called D Martel Plumbing to get an appointment, we agreed to Friday morning as I was scheduled for surgery Wednesday morning.
Friday morning Trevor arrived around 8:15, good so far. I outlined the problem with what I had done, that the existing main line had some fittings coming apart which seemed to have not been glued properly, that there is dirt in the lines, 2 toilets and 3 sink faucets and 2 showers and 1 outdoor faucet all needed the lines flushed out. I said that since the faucets needed to be removed, we would like to have new ones installed.
He went outside for a few minutes and came back in and said it would be $1200 for everything. Nothing in writing was offered, I should have asked in retrospect. We agreed, please start. He got going, got a third faucet delivered, worked on the main pipe outside, seemed to be doing well. A while later he came back in and said that the main pipe outside was leaking at the only fitting that had not been replaced, would I like to fix that myself. I said that I had just had surgery I wouldn't be able to do anything for the next 4-6 weeks.
He said the toilet in the front bathroom had some kind of problem coming up, we agreed to replace it for $525.00.
Around 4:00 he said the main pipe outside had been fixed, but he couldn't turn on the water for 2 hours, he had to go pick up his daughter, we need to have someone turn it on for us. We said a neighbor could do it for us. I asked if the showers had been flushed out, he said he couldn't do it until the water was turned back on.
The final bill was $1960.00 We couldn't flush 1 toilet, we couldn't use the showers when he left, he said a line in the toilet was clogged and needed to be replaced. I got someone else to unhook the line and blow it out and flush out the 2 showers so we could use them.
I was a licensed contractor and should have known better when there was nothing written at first. I was in a position of weakness, not feeling well. No excuse though, but need to let prospective customers know what to expect if using this company. I used Yelp to find one that I thought I could trust.
I still need to get someone to fill in the ditch for me. We have no documentation on the new faucets and toilet he installed, so don't know about any warranty on them, I hope that gets sent to us.
