We had a problem with the water main which I tried to fix myself on Tuesday. My repairs leaked and there was dirt in the line, so I called D Martel Plumbing to get an appointment, we agreed to Friday morning as I was scheduled for surgery Wednesday morning.
Friday morning Trevor arrived around 8:15, good so far. I outlined the problem with what I had done, that the existing main line had some fittings coming apart which seemed to have not been glued properly, that there is dirt in the lines, 2 toilets and 3 sink faucets and 2 showers and 1 outdoor faucet all needed the lines flushed out. I said that since the faucets needed to be removed, we would like to have new ones installed.
He went outside for a few minutes and came back in and said it would be $1200 for everything. Nothing in writing was offered, I should have asked in retrospect. We agreed, please start. He got going, got a third faucet delivered, worked on the main pipe outside, seemed to be doing well. A while later he came back in and said that the main pipe outside was leaking at the only fitting that had not been replaced, would I like to fix that myself. I said that I had just had surgery I wouldn't be able to do anything for the next 4-6 weeks.
He said the toilet in the front bathroom had some kind of problem coming up, we agreed to replace it for $525.00.
Around 4:00 he said the main pipe outside had been fixed, but he couldn't turn on the water for 2 hours, he had to go pick up his daughter, we need to have someone turn it on for us. We said a neighbor could do it for us. I asked if the showers had been flushed out, he said he couldn't do it until the water was turned back on.
The final bill was $1960.00 We couldn't flush 1 toilet, we couldn't use the showers when he left, he said a line in the toilet was clogged and needed to be replaced. I got someone else to unhook the line and blow it out and flush out the 2 showers so we could use them.
I was a licensed contractor and should have known better when there was nothing written at first. I was in a position of weakness, not feeling well. No excuse though, but need to let prospective customers know what to expect if using this company. I used Yelp to find one that I thought I could trust.
I still need to get someone to fill in the ditch for me. We have no documentation on the new faucets and toilet he installed, so don't know about any warranty on them, I hope that gets sent to us.

Called these guys about a problem with our plumbing and they sent someone out within an hour. Trevor our technician was very friendly and fixed the issue promptly. He quoted us several different options prior to any services. Will use this service in the future.

Based on the reviews received here on Yelp we felt this plumbing company would have been a good match for the work we needed. The repair person arrived and provided a quote then agreed to return and perform the work. Except upon return charged us $100 more than quoted. Unfortunately, the repair person spoke to my spouse and said that was the agreed upon price. After communicating this with the owner of the company they chose not to refund the difference. Turns out the customer is not right and they chose to keep $100 as opposed to offer the quality service they claim to provide.

In addition, their plumber kept the old hardware and we had to call them back to have it returned. He did not even ask if they can keep it.

I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere for plumbing work as D Martel Plumbing failed on multiple accounts.

D Martel Plumbing are artists in their field. They came out at moment's notice and masterfully relocated and repaired plumbing. These are my go to guys! They never fail me! I have been fortunate in all my plumbing needs provided by this company! So glad I have one less thing to worry about!

We had an upstairs toilet leaking ""water"" through the ceiling of a downstairs bedroom. I called D Martel Plumbing, and they were quick to setup an appointment and get someone out to take a look. Our experience with D Martel plumbing was very positive from start to finish. Communication was great for setting up an appointment for a time that worked for me. The technician came when scheduled, and he was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. And the price was much lower than I expected. I will definitely be calling D Martel Plumbing with any future plumbing needs!

Im in shock of the service they offer. if there is a zero star, I would give them....
lets start with the service person who come to your house, they don't fix the problem the right way.. we called them again... the service guy came with major attitude like he does not want to do the job, after working on it he guaranteed us its not going to break...guess what it broke, again... we called again and the lady who answered the phone by the name of jakie denied to help or listen to the problem... she kept saying the service guy fixed it we not going to come and fix it....

I am reading your respond, the leak came after you guys fixed the problem. you never offered to help, you guys broke it and you suppose to fix it, even your son came in and told us it will never break again...

We were referred to D Martel. Free quotes. Plumber came out. I made it clear I wanted a quote. He said I didn't have to be around while he tried to find the issue. Then told me that he would save me money. And then told me I needed a new valve and it would be $275 then negotiated with himself and said $250. I came back and said no thank you and he said I owed $100. All I asked for was a diagnostic. I owed him because he got his hands dirty and had cuts from digging. He didn't plan on getting dirty. Then dropped his ""getting dirty"" price down to $60 because he had to charge something or the office would be upset with him. I will never use nor refer this company ever. Very misleading.

So I guess my only complaint is getting laughed at by the receptionist when I placed my call. I simply asked to speak to a plumber about a question I had and was laughed at then told,"" ok go ahead and ask me what the question is but there are no plumbers here."" ok, I almost hung up at that point but asked anyway. I sort of knew the answer already but just wanted to double check. There are some choice terms I thought of during this short encounter but I chose to not use them. Anyway, after that I wouldn't even consider calling them back. Sucks cause I will need a plumber just not from this company.
