I wish I had read the reviews before calling these people to come out to fix my toilet. Basically I had them fix a ballcock valve (2020) and they didn't notify me that the service charge was $125 until the service was done then $10.00 for the part which I was pissed but I paid because I should've ask upfront the fee. Fast forward 6 months later, my tenant is having issues again, so I call them again since it seemed to be the same problem... they come out and replace the ballcock again. The tech told my tenant they have been having problems with these so I will replace it again. 10 mins later he said it was fixed and left. I got a call saying that he fixed it and it was $148. I paid then I ask for the invoice for the two visit. I then notice that the same thing was just done 6 months ago. I called and ask Naiina why was I charged for the same thing. She then begins to tell me that the only have a 30 day warranty on their service. What is 30 days? Guess what, my tenant is still having the same issues, we both called them back the next day and I ask about these defective parts, she claimed not to know nothing about that .. I told her that I wanted him to come back and fix it and we set up an appointment for the next day. I also, this time wanted to speak to a manger this is unacceptable ( of course wasn't available) 3 hours later I get an email telling me that they will refund my money. I gave them the card information. The next day the tech never showed up. I called them, they said that since we refunded your money, we canceled the appointment. If I wanted them to come back out I will have to pay them again.. so basically they never wanted to try to correct the issue just to get rid of me. The worst customer service ever!!! They are dishonest, overpriced, and sneaky. I told them I will post this review and they seem not to care... Beware!!

$125 labor charge to replace a toilet flapper. Also charged a $5 COVID fee. Petty and price gouging. Would not recommend.

These are the best plumbers in Richmond, hands down!! Since January, I have used them twice. Both times they show up on time, did exactly what I needed and then some, and even recommended an alternate way to replace a part I needed which will cost me less than if they ordered it for me. Their rates are extremely affordable. What more can you ask?

Also got stuck in the great freeze of January 2018. Combined with our friends at Dominion Energy who thought it would be a good night to shutdown our power. Result - frozen tankless water heater. Called DL at 7 AM Monday morning, they were here in a few hours, diagnosed the issue, order the parts overnight for us and within an hour of them arriving on Wednesday (mfg didn't ship until Tuesday) they were installed.

Other companies were telling us they could get to us on Thursday and giving estimates to replace all the equipment. With the usual service guy editorial, ""your equipment is junk, our is the best"".....I'm smarter then you chip on their shoulder.

I would highly recommend DL Jones for their sense of urgency, empathy to our situation and for not overselling!

I found DL Jones Plumbing here on Yelp. I called for an appointment on the second thaw day after the ""great freeze"" of early January 2018 because we had a leaky pipe as a result of the freeze. I was very impressed by Kristen who answered my phone call. She seemed genuinely empathetic and professional. She took my information to call back later in the day if they would be able to fit me into that day's schedule or to schedule me the next morning.

I ended up finding another company that was able to make the repair before Kristen called back. However, I was so impressed by Kristen's candor that I called DL Jones back to remove me from their call back list. Thanks to Kristen DL Jones is on my short list for my future plumbing needs.
