I came back the next day.
I changed my 5 Star review to a one star review because of Adam Krauth. Complete asshole. I spoke with him on the phone yesterday and he was so rude to me. I went in and the other workers were super nice and helpful. I went back in today cause I found a good spot with good customer service so I went in and Adam just has a horrible attitude for no reason. His coworkers told me yesterday that he's usually rude to people. I will bring this 5 Star review back once he gets a handle on his attitude or he is fired. Please respond to this post with how this was taken care of. Thank you 7/30/2020

I made many phone calls today trying to match a certian brand of vent pipe,what a relief it was when I called d and d . A guy named Jim answered the phone and was knowledgable and friendly, he took the time while I was on the phone to actually walk out to the warehouse and make sure the parts we discussed were in stock. I own a door and window company in the bay area, dont know alot about hvac. i was doing a small job for myself up near tahoe . its very frustrating to get up in the mountains and find you are missing parts. I have found my new favorite spot for plumbing and hvac supplies. Thanks again Jim

I avoid doing business here because in my experience they are unfriendly and unhelpful. They may be pals with plumbers they know, but with customers in off the street not so much. Even when it's not busy there will be a wait because they have to finish chatting before taking notice of you. And then they act like you're a bother.

On the other hand, D&D does seem to have things in stock when others don't and I've been told they have fair prices. I just don't like the place.

Called D&D today looking for a Y fixture, Home Depot's similar fitting got bad reviews for cracking and leaking, Ace Hardware didn't have one either. I asked to make sure it wasn't plastic and he confirmed it was a brass. I was pleasantly surprised when I got there; friendly, knowledgable people who had exactly what I needed. Decided to buy all the other pieces I needed for a new Washer / Dryer install, hoses, vents, etc. Prices were better than HD. I've been in the area 15 years and like to buy local, wish I would have found this place sooner, great selection of mostly water related supplies (I do have to credit Ace Hardware for suggesting I try here). Recommended!

Every so often, I have a project that requires items that typical home improvement depot stores do not carry. D&D was in fact, recommend when I was at a different place that didn't have what I needed.

Not sure I what happened with Brian L, but of the 5 or 6 times I have always had reasonably fast service when I'm looking for something. One visit required D&D to special order something for an important project I was working on. Not only did they get the item in quickly, they called me as soon as it arrived just as the gentleman promised.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend D&D to anyone for their service and huge selection of plumbing supplies.

Went in today for small fitting. Was not even acknowleged for 15 minutes (honest)
Finally the woman at counter asked what I wanted. I told her and she said check the manual.. The item which needed the fitting for was on the counter in front of her.
She certainly didn't want my business.
You try and buy local and this is what you get
Terrible statement that Home Depot has better customer service. They had no difficulty getting the fitting.
No wonder the small business in our area is falling by the wayside.

This place has the biggest selection of plumbing supplies that I know of in placerville.
