I've used D&D for my home and business for years. I will no longer use them or refer business to them. I was without water and called in to see if they could come check my pressure switch. She went over that it's $90 instead of $60 plus labor.

Once the guy got here it turned out since it was a no water call it would be a minimum of $350. I didn't have any plans for them to do work on the actual well, I didn't need the ""no water truck"" and did not ask for it. So that was absolutely ridiculous. He checked the pressure switch and left and I paid $397, he wasn't even here 10 minutes.

I called and asked for a partial refund and as usual it took me calling and following up to get no where. Elizabeth was supposed to call me back on Tuesday with an update and I heard nothing. I am not chasing them down as that seems to always be the case. They say they will get back in touch and 4 days later you have to follow up AGAIN.

Hard to believe a company as old as they are can't get it together. I finally got a well drilling company out here on Monday, they were here for 6 hours and their total labor charge was only $600 vs $400 for 10 minutes of nothing. Really a poor way to treat your long time customers. What a rip off.

I love this company! They were recommended to me to install a new granite countertop, sink, and faucet in my bathroom. I made the appointment, and the plumber arrived on time, ready to work. He was polite and respectful and installed the new counter, sink, and fixture in an hour without mess, damage, or drama. They charged a very fair price, and I will use them again for all my plumbing and fixture needs. I have been burned by so-called professionals that never show up, show up late, don't have the right tools, feel the need to tell me all their problems, and never do the job correctly. D & D are a breath of fresh air. I live in Lost River, which is a 30-minute drive from Romney and they didn't charge any additional fees. I highly recommend them

Our well pump went bad, so we were without water. D&D gave our call priority and came quickly. Kind and courteous employees came and completed our job.

Amazing service. Truly a reliable business and same day service. It all began last Tuesday around 6:00 am, when I heard a loud sigh of relief. My wife Irma was in our half bath and somehow got a turd crossed sideways in the toilet. We panicked when her 4th time of flushing the toilet showed no sign of the poo going down. That is until I called D & D Plumbing. They were out in less than an hour to fix our crappy situation. My wife Irma and I would like to thank you so very much.

Update: I ran down to the Walmart and picked Irma up a large bottle of stool softeners everything is now flowing smoothly. Please... keep her in your prayers.

I don't know what to say--called to book this plumber to fix a leak. Asked about pandemic precautions and whether the plumber would wear a mask. After two confirmations of the appointment by the scheduler and confirmation that the plumber would wear a mask, the owner called to inform that he was cancelling the appointment due to political differences!? What is that?

NOTE:
I have NO idea why I never hit ""post."" This is from January of this year.

Temp got to an unexpected 9° Friday night/Saturday morning and one of my water pipes froze and busted. I called D&D 9am Saturday for what is known as a ""no water"" service call. Talked to one of the guys. This is a rural area and I figured there were folks who needed immediate attention much more than I. Man asked if it could wait until Monday and I said sure. Monday morning I get a call around 8:30 and The Nice Lady says they're putting me on the schedule and ""the plan is"" to get me handled today.

And they did. Wayne from D&D was awesome. Also pointed out a couple of unsafe issues I had.

We contacted D&D Plumbing on April the 8th to investigate and repair a faulty pump in an elevator shaft of one of our commercial buildings. We never heard back from them and weren't sure they had even been able to go inspect, due to COVID 19 closures and restrictions. After nearly one month, our office manager had to reach out to them only to be told that they did go to the site, and were unable to gain access to the elevator so they just left and never bothered to call us and inquire about gaining access.
Very disappointed in their lack of communication and customer service.

I called upon this plumbing business to handle the replacement of the kitchen sink hardware (above and below the counter) at my mother's house. I was very impressed by the Stoltfuzes' competence and professionalism. Perhaps because it is West Virginia it is not unusual, but I was also relieved and impressed that they were willing to make the over 60 miles (about 90 minutes) round-trip to provide their services.

They were up-front and professional across the board, and simply on an an intuitive level, I got the sense that I was dealing with an honest business, which, unfortunately, is not something one can necessarily assume when hiring someone in the building trades.

I have put them in my list of contacts and the next time I need a plumber in the area, they will be my first -- and hopefully my last -- call because I'd rather not find they are unavailable and have to take a risk on someone else.

Called to schedule service. The woman that answered the phone said they'd get back to me the next day. 4 days later, still no callback. So much for their 2 day reply. Went with another plumber that did call back.

Fairly good plumbers. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it, but neglected to get the water flowing into the house; they had to return a few mins later after leaving to fix the last remaining component -- something had to be adjusted inside the house.
I would definitely hire them again.
