I had them come out because my heater was not working. They said my blower motor was out, so I had them replace it. Cost about $500. The new motor went out 4 months later. I called them back out and was told that it was out again. I assumed it would be under the one year parts and labor which I was told when I bought the first one. They changed the story to sorry 90 days, hmm it broke down right after the 90 days, but they were willing to give me $100 off. Cost me another $375, and it still doesnt work right.

Toilet was backing up into the shower and bath. D&D came out and snaked the line. A week later the problem returned. D&D came out again. They told me the first job wasn't under warranty because the snake wouldn't go through and the had to remove the cutting head. They told me we had a blockage in our sewer line and they quoted me $6700 to repair it, not including $300 to run a camera first. I asked about ""Trenchless"" and they said it wasn't an option since the main line was under my house. I asked if they could clear the clog again, they told me it would be another $500.
I decided to get another opinion found ""Plumbing Squad"" out of Fremont. They came out on a Sunday, diagnosed the problem as a broken sewer line that was under a concrete porch in my front yard. The ""trenchless"" procedure was ideal for this problem. They did the work the next day. Parts, labor including camera work and installing 2 clean outs, $3400.00. The work came with a guarantee of 5 years parts and 10 years labor. I've used D&D in the past have always thought them to be pricey, now I'm referring everyone to ""Plumbing Squad"".

These guys are some of the most notorious price-gouging plumbers in Vacaville. Friend of mine had a clog and she would up spending nearly $20,000 for a repair that should not have cost half that. She's old...they took advantage. There are better plumbers out there in Vacaville.

D & D just gouges customers. I am completely in agreement with Peter J (9/6/2009 review). It's ridiculous how long they think they can get away with this. A lot of customers and potential customers will catch up to this soon, and their business will dry up. They hit me up for over $200 for changing a washer on a leaky Delta faucet - just a flat price for that kind of service, they claimed! Unconscionable, I think!! At the end of the day, I had a choice, and I paid for the service because time constraints did not allow me to do it myself or find an alternative contractor. Just ridiculous how they think they can continue this...

If you do not mind paying an excessive amount of money for a plumber, then by all means hire D&D Plumbing. Their estimate to replace 2 simple faucets was over $800! We obtained a 2nd quote from another plumber which was half the price of D&D, and we've been told that that is still too much to pay. Needless to say, we are doing it ourselves.

Saw them at the Napa Garden show demonstrating a tank less water heater, just what I wanted for my house in Napa. Had them out to give me an offer. THere was a little additional work running a water pipe in the attic. The service guy was complaining how hot it would be up there and how complicated it was. His offer came in at: 13,485. I called another general contractor, licensed, insured and everything. Offer came in at $3,200, and it is now installed and working perfectly. The heater from D&D was around $3K, I chose one half the price. But still.....$10,000 difference. It took my guy 2 days to complete the work. Assuming D&D has just as qualified people, that means D&D charges $5K per day, that's $600+ per hour. I felt like the guys getting cheated by Bernie Madoff, except I called D&D on it.
