Our AC went down in the high heat of summer. Had them come out--they replaced a bad part in it. AC then worked... for a couple of weeks. Went down again. Called them back. Different guys came this time and looked at the unit for less than 5 minutes. Told us that an electronic part in it blew, and then proceeded to aggressively try to sell us on a whole $10,000 new system, furnace included. We asked if they could just repair the electronic part, and they said they couldn't promise that would fix it. Didn't sound very confident, so why would we pay if they can't even guarantee their work? And they don't stand by their work because they were just out three weeks earlier and charged us $700 for that round of repairs. Now they wanted $10,000. So we called an actual HVAC company for a second opinion. They sent a tech who diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes--Czapp and Griffith had installed the wrong size capacitor and it wasn't strong enough for the machine to kick on reliably. So we had to pay $400 to the second company to fix a CAPACITOR THAT WAS CZAPP'S MISTAKE, but at least we saved $10,000!!!!! And Czapp's tech LIED to us about the electronic part being broken--it works fine! So this company will LIE to you to try to make $10,000. Avoid like the plague!

If I could score higher than a five, I would. I have been dealing with Paul for all of my plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and hot water heater needs for more than 20 years. Their service is prompt, courteous, and professional. During their last visit, Paul came out Sunday of Labor Day Weekend to assess our need for a new hot water heater. Two guys showed up Tuesday as scheduled, one was named Kurt, and were out in 90 minutes. They have a lot of experience and take pride in their work. I would recommend all of their services to everyone.

Back in November Czapp and Griffith came out to service the furnace at the home I had just purchased at the recommendation of my realtor. Their charge was $250 for this. 2 weeks later, my heat stopped working on a Saturday. I called Czapp and Griffith on Sunday as it was getting cold and they informed me of their weekend rates so I opted to have someone come out on Monday. I waited all day for someone, finally at 3 he showed up, spent 15 minutes looking to tell me my inducer was shot. He said he needed to order the part and that if he did it on Monday, I would have it Wednesday. He said he would call me as soon as he knew the cost and order it. He never called. I called them Tuesday morning and the secretary said she was surprised he did not call but she would have him return my call which he did after lunch. He told me he could order the part on Tuesday and still have it Wednesday. I said go ahead. Wednesday came and the work day was almost over when I received a phone call from Mr. Czapp telling me that the part was never ordered. Keep in mind that it was 50 degrees and I have a 13 year old and 2 dogs freezing. I called around and was able to find the part in York, drove to pick it up, met the technician at my house where he spent half an hour putting it in. I cannot believe that they had the audacity to send me a bill for $180. I had already spent $355 on the part that they did not order for 3 days. Do NOT use them. Their service is terrible and they really don't care if you are cold.

I called Czapp and Griffith to have my a.c. serviced. Paul was dispatched the next day. I was called the day of service and they let me know he was on his way. I have never had such GREAT customer service from a company before. I was actually blown away. Once Paul arrived, he was efficient, helpful and successful in getting my a.c. working again. The price was reasonable, and I wouldn't hesitate in using C & G again! Thank you for a great experience!
