It comes as no surprise to me to read the many negative reviews about the poor service by this company. Let me share my nightmare with you if I may. I have a rental townhome in Ontario and have owned it for over 25 years. When my tenants called me and told me that the furnace would not come on, common sense told me that my unit was probably going to need to be replaced. I called the folks at Cypress and they sent out a tech the very next day. He was supposed to call the tenants when he was on the way, but guess what! Exactly, he didn't. Okay, not a major deal breaker (YET).

The service tech proceeded to take the entire unit apart and told my tenant that the ""ignigtor box"" was bad and that the gas valve needed replaced. Also he told her that the unit was ""too old"" and that he probably couldn't find parts for it because of its age. My tenant said the tech would ""call me"" to discuss my options, etc. You guessed it ... NO call. Three days go by and still nothing, so I called the office. (BTW, the girls who answer the phone and make appointments are wonderful) I explained my situation and she pulled my job. She told me the same thing and that they would send out an estimate right away. A few days later I got a bill for the service call and a very expensive estimate. Still not an earth shattering experience ... but it gets better. Hang on.

I called a good friend of mine who is a contractor and he connected me with one of his friends who lived close by to the rental. When the new guy got there the furnace was in a million pieces all over the ground. He reassembled it, cleaned it all out and got it to function properly. He did state that the unit was in ""fair to poor condition"" due to its age. Two weeks later the unit is still going strong. I will be replacing it in the near future, but you can bet your sweet behind that I won't be contracting Cypress Air & Heating for the job. Very poor and unprofessional service in this Yelper's opinion. That's not the proper way to do business.

We recently moved back into our house after a four month remodel project due to flooding. Our heater was not working. Robert from Cyprus arrived early (called to confirm), wore booties on our brand new wood floors, and used a drop cloth while working. Our part was not available- and so Robert agreed to call first thing in the am and provide an update. By 9:30 he called and shared that he had found the part, but If we were willing to wait another 24, we would have the part and it would cost $150 less. The next day he arrived, fixed the problem quickly, and was gracious all along the way. Robert- Cyprus and their team was spectacular. I would highly recommend them.

BRRRRRR!!!! Looked at my heater 10 days ago....told me I needed a part and they'd have to call around and try to find it. I called them after 5 days and they were still looking - supposedly. After freezing for 10 days, I called another company. It turned out to be a one man company who had the part I needed in his truck. Fixed in less than 15 minutes. My family was cold for 10 days because Cypress Heating didn't do their job! We're cozy and warm now! No thanks to Cypress!

The staff in the office was very efficient. They sent the owner out for an estimate almost immediately. I needed a new condenser unit and new coil because the central air did not turn on. The owner never got close enough to inspect the furnace, blower motor and coil, which are all located in the stance from the attic opening. He gave me a verbal quote initially before he left my house. Upon submission of the written estimate, he added an additional $2,000. His estimate has 2 options: 1 quote was for a 13 Seers and second quote was for a 14 Seers. But the estimate was good for ONLY 7 days. When questioned, he said after 7 days, the price would vary. The price of condenser units should not vary like the stock market. I still do not understand why the written estimate is not valid for at least 30 days. 7 day period was not enough time for me to make a decision that would cost me thousands of dollars. i also dont like the idea that he gave me a verbal estimate of $4,000+ and added an additional $2,000 on the written estimate.

This service Co. is outstanding! We had a general maintenance on our two units that are 20 yrs. old. No previous maintenance by any company in the past was as thorough as Ubaldo, the technician, was. He was courteous, did clean work, efficient, knowledgeable and answered all questions to our complete understanding. He set a high standard for future expectations.

Ivan Velasco came through for us, while other companies were trying to price gouge us. He was honest, fast and the best price we found. He even went the extra mile of coming back the next business day to flush the AC pipes. I never write reviews, but this time I had too. Ask for Ivan. Truly the best AC technician in his field. My girls are now happy because the AC works.

Had them come out for a price on new duct work on May 4th .... said they would email a quote by the end of the week. Nothing!! No email, no quote, no phone call 2 weeks later. Called in and they said they will get a quote to me. Nevermind, I'm going with someone else that wants my business.

On Tuesday they came on time and went right to work these are the best works I seem in a long time they get right to work.
Today is Friday morning went right to work so far so good.
I just wish they would explain what they plan on doing the next day,
They are still not done an inspector needs go over there work and they need to put in installation.
Overall they did a good job.
The air flow in my room could be better.

I highly recommend Cypress for your heating and air needs. My elderly parents have been customers for many years and they have always received great service from Cypress!! I have been caring for my parents for the past several years and any time we need routine or emergency service the staff at Cypress have gone above and beyond to provide us prompt attention. Their technicians are polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I recently needed service for my parents malfunctioning furnace/AC. I called Joanne at Cypress and she was able to 'squeeze' us in to their already booked schedule and send a technician out to the house the next day. The technician (Joey) spent nearly two hours diagnosing the problem and determined that we needed a special part that he didn't have with him. He rearranged his busy schedule to return the following day so that he could finish the repairs. And they didn't take advantage and charge us extra like many places would. You just don't find that level of service at many places anymore.

I've been using Cypress for all of my Heating and A/C needs for over 8 years now. I've also used them to install some tankless water heaters in my house. They installed two HVAC units in my house and I recently had them come out and install another HVAC unit in a guest house on my property. Their quality of workmanship and high level of customer service is unsurpassed in my opinion. They have excellent attention to detail and always have my best interest in mind when doing their job. I own several rental properties and I will not use anyone else to service them except for Cypress. All of the staff at Cypress from Bob to Gary, including America, Tony and Lee are always very professional and take time to thoroughly answer any questions I may have. I am always completely satisfied with the job they do. I am and will always be a loyal customer to Cypress.
