We have used Curtis Watanabe Plumbing many times over the years. He re-piped our house, put a new drain in our kitchen for our remodel last year, and installed the range hood. We had problems with the main drain backing up a couple of times recently. We called Curtis, and he came over within an hour both times! I don't expect him to do that every time, as he has a thriving business. But we definitely appreciated his promptness and courtesy. Not being able to use the sink or toilets is definitely a major inconvenience. We were so glad Curtis came over so quickly.
Further, he has an able team of assistants who work hard and diligently, such as Eduardo and Curtis' own son, Jordan. Jordan is a very pleasant, cordial young man who is acquiring his father's vast plumbing knowledge!
Curtis is trustworthy, honest and charges fair prices. We ask many questions, and he answers them fully. We trust Curtis for advice, tips and just general information. We have other future plumbing issues, as our house is old. We will be asking Curtis to take care of them. We are grateful to him and his team for their wonderful services. I am writing to commend and recommend Curtis Watanabe and his business. I am the present president of the HOA Board of Directors at 10760 Missouri Avenue is West Los Angeles. After years of woe, Curtis was able to expertly calibrate our tankless Noritz system so that we have absolutely perfect hot water. This after many others had failed. He is a wizard of plumbing. Curtis and his crew are polite, respectful, courteous, punctual, and responsible. I just recommended him to a neighbor. His prices are reasonable indeed. Highly recommended!

Over the years Curtis and his team have helped me with numerous tasks - a clogged washer line, replacing bathroom fixtures, and just recently replaced my water heater AND replaced the water line from the meter to my home.

They were always on time, got me to laugh about the whole situation, explained everything thoroughly, and displayed a positive ""can-do"" attitude. It's delightful!

I am on the Board of Directors and former long-time president of the HOA at 10760 Miss. Ave, which is a nine unit condo complex. First off, I have to profusely apologize for the embarrassing review of Curtis' work by another owner in our building. Curtis and his team were responsive and took on a project that the original plumber completely screwed up. At the recommendation of that plumber two years ago, we replaced a blown water tank with a tankless heating system because of the longer warranty. That plumber never set up the system properly, and he had to come back out 8-10 times and we still never had consistently hot water, which eventually regressed to only warm water. He wanted to charge us several thousand dollars more for his ineptitude, which we refused to pay, and he never came back out despite his warranty. For two years, we never had hot water in our building - lukewarm showers at best - and we couldn't find another plumber who would touch the system. It's generally not worth a few thousand dollars for a plumber to take on the liability of another plumber's botched system. I finally contacted Noritz, the manufacturer of the heating units, and they recommended Curtis and several other plumbers. Most of them wouldn't respond to my calls, and one other came out and gave an estimate but without any details in writing. When I finally spoke to Curtis, his team came out and gave a detailed and honest assessment of our system, which had been completely set up wrong by the original plumber, taking numerous photos and drawing diagrams of what needed to be done. He gave a fair quote, and in two days, his team had completely taken apart and re-plumbed the rooftop water heating system for our entire building. It usually takes 30-60 seconds to have scalding hot water now, but I believe a delay like that is not uncommon for similar buildings and is not due to his work but rather the lousy piping layout in an older four-story building. I absolutely would recommend Curtis and his team. They took on a disastrous project that nobody wanted to touch, and fixed an otherwise miserable situation. The other guy in our building who posted an unfair and unfounded review never even asked the HOA or our property management company to follow up with Curtis. He is the type of guy who thinks he knows it all, complains about everything and gets nothing done.

Call Curtis first! You'll be sorry (like I was) if you don't!

My Noritz tankless water heater died and I was faced with an unhappy family. The first place I called came over and charged me $160 for ""trouble shooting."" They tried hard and were helpful in letting me know what parts they thought were needed but still no hot water. I picked up the parts myself but they weren't available to install so luckily I gave Curtis a call.

Curtis was at my place in 10 minutes and knew exactly what part to replace. He actually carried them in his truck! 5 minutes later I had hot water again and his price was less than 1/2 of the other guy! In fact, I had to force him to take the money because at first he told me the other place charged me enough for both of them. Boy do I wish I had called Curtis first.

Finding a good, honest, knowledgeable plumber is really hard so do yourself a favor and call Curtis if you are in need. Really great guy, he knows his stuff, and he's very reasonable and fair on prices. Outstanding!

I used Curtis Watanabe for two plumbing jobs in the last two weeks. The first was clearing a main sewer line and installing a accessible better drain line entry point. He and his crew did a marvelous Job, locating the problem, going through concrete to get to my drain pipe in the proper location, and finishing off the job with a perfect concrete refill and cover for the new sewer line entry point.

I was very pleased when I got the bill - and I don't often say this - because the amount of work that he and his crew did was huge. I was expecting something higher, and was very happy.

Then, I had a very urgent broken hot water heater at the house - I called him in a panic and he was here in 30 minutes - fix the problem perfectly and quickly. I had hot water again right away...

Curtis is very personable, professional, and I'll be sure to use him and his hard-working crew again whenever I have a problem at the house...

so my Noritz water heater went out on a Tuesday at 530 pm, and Curtis came out at 8pm that night to fix it..had to remove the control device and got us up and running again... Great service as always...

If it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would. We had an issue with our water heater the Monday before Thanksgiving. We had to turn our water off and replace a part. We gave Curtis a call on Monday evening and he fit us into his schedule the next day so that we would have water before the holiday weekend! Amazing service at a great price! Will absolutely be calling him if we ever have any plumbing issues in the future!
