I called them on Wednesday for a ruptured water pipe outside the house, they said they couldn't come out until Friday. I called another plumbing service that dispatched a technician within the hour.
Eric H.The Curtis plumbing team was ultra responsive from the top on down. They really moved things around to get my plumbing emergency taken care of same day. Matt the on sight plumber was fast and knew exactly what the issue was. Thanks to Curtis plumbing a major crises turned into a small fix.
I needed to have a 5 ft re-pipe (outside of wall) and a water softener (which I furnished) installed. They up-charged the pipe and couplings 3 1/2 to 4 times what they cost at Home Depot. For example, a hose bib at Home depot costs $8.37 and they charged me $28.43 for the EXACT same one. And they charged me for 6 3/4 hours that included nearly an hour for his lunch and 1/2 hour to figure the bill. The total bill came to $1600.00. I got screwed horribly and will never, ever call Curtis Plumbing again. I will tell everyone I know.
Would not use them again. Called them to replace a section of waterline and was not advised they charged for the estimate. The cost of the estimate was also not applied to the total. ThIngs that were discussed during the estimate appointment were not included in the final contract. Found out later that the size of pipe they used was not city code and will have to be replaced again. I do not recommend them.
This company is a joke - I called them to come out and give me an estimate on replacing a portion of the main water line since the previous owner had used them - they advised there would be a charge for the estimate of $75 but that would go towards the work - they came out and did the estimate but I was not home when they came out - I never got the estimate -I called into the office and they advised it was going to be $2k - I asked for them to email it over to me - never got it and called 2 additional times - nothing - I used another plumbing company which charged me $1200 - then after 1 month Curtis Plumbing sent me a late notice advising that I owed them $149 for the estimate -are you kidding me?? I called the office and spoke to Cindy and she said she would look into the issues and she would call me back the next day - its been a week and still no call back

Update:10/4/19
The day after initial review was posted my parents received a phone call from Curtis plumbing stating they found approx. $180 in over charge that they would refund via check in the mail as well as an itemized receipt to justify charges but would need my father to call back. My father called back that same day and left a msg with no return call afterwards. My father phoned again today 10/4 and due to my posted review of the company and our experience with them that they would not be issuing back any mischarged amount.
Loreen W.If you can't get a free estimate, it tells you a lot about a company. Going to leave it at that!!
Maria M.These guys are super reliable. I had to hire them over a weekend when my Plumbing went bad. Not only did they give me different options but they repaired several items at my house. The water heater only needed a thermostat and a water pipe was replaced. The service was not expensive and it fixed all of my issues. Thank you very much.
We had to kiss a lot of frogs b4 we found Curtis, our go to co for everything plumbing for the last 20 years. Knowledgeable, courteous, prompt, thorough...all the traits a customer looks for in a service provider.
I called Curtis Plumbing to check out a possible backed up drain at a rental property. I was clear on the phone with both females I spoke with as to wanting a camera run down the pipe. I was told first the will snake it and then they will run a camera. I asked for an estimate of cost and since I would not be present how to pay my bill. I was told that I could pay by check to avoid the 3% card fee. I said that was wonderful. I booked the appointment. The tech was late, I know things happen. He did his thing snaked the pipe and what not. He then told me there was no reason for a clog and the line was open and clear to the sewer. He then said I need to have the camera run to check for a possible break in the line due to ""foundation collapse"". After the tech got back to his office he called to get payment for the services. I explained the woman when I booked said I could write a check. He said ""I was a first time customer and had to pay now."" I guess I could have refused, I paid, including the 3% fee. As I looked at the bill I see I was charged $10 more than quoted for the snake plus a $7 truck charge. I also said to schedule the pipe to have a camera run down. 2 days later and still waiting for a call. When I first called and explained what I wanted it was made to seem as the tech would snake the pipe and then if needed run a camera then, not a entirely different trip, appointment and fees. I would stay away from this company or any that cannot give you accurate pricing and know when and how procedures are completed. I also had the pricing for the camera when I first called and then when the tech gave me the estimates the price suddenly increased. Shady and not worth the
Update/response to Ken
I was asked to pay my bill before ever receiving an invoice to review. I paid my bill in full at the time of service. I simply wanted to understand the difference in charges, which I understand. But, to be told by YOU that I was given ""concession"" on my bill for ""overtime"" is ridiculous! I was scheduled a window of 12-3, the tech showed up at 3:40 and did less than an hour of work! To say I should have been charged overtime is ridiculous. Also, you have no idea what previous maintenance was done to my property, and to call out others is very unprofessional. Also, I made it clear I could not attend the appointment because I live on the other side of the country. So please continue to try and make me seem like the one in the wrong. You never did address how long I was to wait for a camera to be scheduled? I waited 4 days with no word from your company. And, I was extremely clear in my initial call that I wanted a camera run.
