We have a leak in a hot water pipe behind a wall. We have no hot water. One of Curcio Plumbers came to our home. After seeing where water was seeping out from behind the wall, he spent about 20 minutes making comments that sounded a lot like it couldn't be fixed or he couldn't fix it and that he didn't know what was causing the lack of heated water coming from the hot water tap. He was of no use but reminded me several times that he was going to clock out at 4pm. I won't bore you with specifics but after talking to Vince the owner, he told me that he would talk to me the next day. I emailed. I took pictures and emailed them. I called. His secretary said he was busy and that he'd call back when done. The leak continued. I called again. The secretary said that he was too busy to help me. After this experience, I cannot recommend them.
Schuyler W.Beware! This company is untrustworthy and has zero integrity. Curcio plumbing found and fixed a leak between my condo and the one above it. Why the plumber was there, their ladder fell over and it damaged two pieces of my shower set; cosmetically and functionally. I contacted them and Vince Curcio immediately blamed my tenant for the damage. However, after checking with his plumber, he found out that I was telling the truth. He then proceeded to be unresponsive and repeatedly ask for information that I already provided to him for months. They did agree to fix it, but they never showed up. My tenant was able to deal with the issue, but when they moved out my new tenant said the diverter for the shower was no longer working. Again I reached out to Curcio emphasizing that I needed this fixed before the new tenant moved in. Again, they gave me the runaround so I had to find someone else to fix it the day my tenant moved in. Instead of paying for the repair, they agreed to give me a discount on a hot water heater. I sent them all the requested information, but again they didn't get back to me. Now I have realized they were only stringing me along so the incident was more than a year old, so I could not file a complaint with the BBB. Do not trust this company!
Just as the COVID-19 lockdowns were starting our furnace failed. Curcio promptly diagnosed and recommended we replace our 20+ year old furnace along with the AC. Vince promptly provided an estimate and responded promptly to numerous questions via email; he even had his senior HVAC guy call me and answer all my detailed questions about the job. My logical nature drove me to get seek out one other quote from a larger vendor, but I chose to go with Curcio. Vince is consistently professional in his responses and is completely reasonable in negotiations. We were able to get a couple of other minor jobs completed at somewhat reduced rates by saving on the number of visits. While my cost research was not exhaustive, I felt his prices were reasonable. The crew (Pete, Foster, Dan) are all friendly and respectful and kept us informed on all progress. We value having a crew that we are comfortable with during the job and these guys were great. They were all careful to wear masks, due to our mutual COVID-19 concerns.
We also had them replace our water heater and install a few faucets a few months back, so we have had quite a bit of experience with Curcio in 2020. If you are looking for a plumber or heating contractor, it's worth considering Curcio. We have been pleased with all of their work.
This review is overdue. I would give this plumber zero stars if I could.
Brief background. We are senior citizens and are relatively new residents in our townhome. Thus, we are not familiar with service providers in this area. Prior to our purchase, our home inspector suggested that we should consider replacing our water heater due to its age and also consider replacing the main water shutoff valves with ball valves. We planned on these replacements when a plumbing issue would arise in the future.
For approximately one month we had noticed a slow drip from the aerator on our kitchen pullout faucet. On 2/24/20 we noticed a leak in our kitchen cabinet. This leak was coming from our kitchen faucet below the countertop. I checked the hose fitting to the pullout faucet and noticed that there was no leak from this area or from the hose itself. We decided to call Curcio Plumbing. We thought that we would use their services since the previous owner used them to replace the water heater in 2009. Our intention was to repair the kitchen faucet leaks and replace the water heater and shutoff valves mentioned above. An appointment was scheduled for the following day.
The following morning K__ appeared on behalf of Curcio. I first showed K__ the water heater. He subsequently took photos of our current water heater and stated that he would get back to us on an estimate since it required a special order. I next showed K__ the shutoff valves that we wanted replaced. He provided us with a rough estimate for this portion of the job. We then proceeded to the kitchen. I explained to K__ want we had noticed regarding the two leaks. I showed him photos of the leaks that I taken previously. At that time, the water was not leaking below the sink, however, it continued to leak from the aerator. I asked K__ if the cartridge could be the source of the leak from the aerator and below the countertop. He responded no. Instead, due to the labor cost and involvement of checking the cartridge, he recommended a total replacement of a new kitchen faucet. I asked K__ how does that work, ie do we purchase the faucet on our own and then call Curcio? He said no. In order to have the work guaranteed by Curcio we had to purchase the new faucet from them. They would provide us with a link and we would select a faucet for Curcio to install. In the meanwhile I asked K__ to replace the shutoff valves below the kitchen sink. We agreed to call Curcio again when we would notice the leak in the future. While speaking, I again pointed out that the drip was continuing from the aerator on the pullout. K__ gave no response. Approximately 20 minutes later we again noticed the leak below the sink. We called Curcio and requested the link so that we could select a new faucet as per K__'s recommendation. We were told that he would get back to us when he returned at the end of the day.
The following day I decided to see how involved it was to check the cartridge, remembering that K__ stated that it would be involved. We were still awaiting a return call and intended to replace the faucet when we received the link from Curcio. It actually took me longer to retrieve the appropriate tools then it took to discover the source of the 2 leaks. I loosened the set screw which holds the handle in place by using an Allen wrench. After lifting the handle I noticed water on top of the visible cartridge. I then unscrewed the decorative ring. Below that ring there is a threaded brass nut which holds the cartridge in place. That nut was so loose that I could turn it with my fingers. I subsequently tightened the brass nut by using a wrench and then replaced the decorative ring and handle. There have no longer been any leaks since then.
I have provided photos in order to understand the above explanation.
I spoke to the owner, Vince, the following day in order to discuss the service call. He spoke over me, was defensive and argumentative. He stated that most customers would not want the service rep. to ""take apart"" their faucet. I stated that the source of the leaks could have easily been determined while waiting for the leak under the sink. Vince stated that he had recorded our telephone conversation (without me knowing) which could be found to be illegal in certain cases. Since that conversation, I realized that our home security cameras not only record 12 second video recordings, but also audio recordings. I have not reviewed all of my recordings but there are several where you can hear the discussions pertaining to the leaks.
This service call could have been easily resolved by removing the handle. It could have been done while waiting for the leak to reoccur. Vince stated that he would get back to me on 3/2/20. I have not heard from him as of this date.
I would recommend staying away from this plumber. He lost 2 additional jobs in our home.
Elizabeth S.Unfortunately, would not recommend. 2 stars since they were able to come out and help us with our emergency situation same day; however, the management after fixing the issue was very confusing. They got rid of clog - said there were roots in the line and ""Goodluck with that - hope they aren't under the deck"". They talked about sending a camera down the line to diagnose the issue prior to unclogging the line - but then they never did this... After talking with our insurance company, a family plumber and now a new company (that we had to pay today to come send a camera down the line) - every single person was confused why this company didn't send a camera down to find out what was actually going on. Turns out there are multiple issues - not just roots. We called back that day to ask why the TV line/camera was never performed and got no answer. Caused us extra time/money to actually figure out what was going on.
Danielle P.Hired Curcio Plumbing to replace a water heater. Vic and Foster were so friendly and professional from start to finish. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you guys!! You're the best!
We called Curcio to fix a sink leak and a leak for an instant hot leak in the kitchen. The sink leak was a simple fix and they did that professionally and quickly. The instant hot has a 1/4"" silicone tube that connects it to the instant hot tank from the hot water supply. We have had 2 instant hots replaced in the past 12 years and now have one with a lifetime guarantee with a stainless steel tank. However, the silicone tubing still gives way with use over time because of the hard water. We asked Curcio to replace it. The Curcio plumber said he didn't have the silicone tubing, it was a specialty item that came with the instant hot and I would need to order a new instant hot and to call them when it came in and they would install it. For the time being, he said he would splice the old tubing higher up and reconnect it until I got the new instant hot. I said, ""an entire new instant hot?"" He said yes, that this one is shot and the new one would come with all new tubing. A new instant hot is $900. I phoned Mountain Plumbing and shared what the plumber said. They said that the tank was fine and sent me 2 silicone tubing replacement kits at no charge and another plumber installed it in 15 minutes. I just don't have confidence that they have the training to work with unique repair needs or higher end appliances. I could not recommend them.

Don't go here. Beware! Owner and staff are both rude and unprofessional. Prices are high , quality of work is not good. When I called recently to check to see if they could give me an emergency appointment they were very uncooperative, when I called back to see if they were able to fit me in the woman Heidi who answer the phone said ""No"" and hung up. Then the owner called me and said because I cancelled an appointment with them on a prior job to re-install a sink they removed for and exorbitant $250.00 (I had my handy man install it back because the price to take it out was so high. ) he said they were not going to come to my home anymore and to use the handy man that put the sink back. Very Very unprofessional especially when I have used them over the years. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, rude staff and owner and super high prices.

Kirsten K.Curcio plumbing helped me out big time! A few years ago water started bubbling up through my floors! It was a very upsetting situation for me but Curcio came to the rescue! The first plumber I had called said that he would have to jackhammer through my wood floor and the concrete slab that my condo is built on. It would have been completely unaffordable. Then I had Curcio come give a second opinion, and they were able to reroute the pipes doing a bypass through the walls. They did an absolutely perfect job and now, several years later everything still works perfectly. I am very grateful to Curcio for their wonderful solution, expertise, and fair pricing!
Used them because they were nearby. What a mistake!
Lazy and responsible crew. They replaced my water heater. But they threw away the brick support, merely left the new water heater sitting on the ground. Worse yet, the new water heater was in the way and the door could not close. They finally moved the heater in, so the door could ""barely"" close. But the heater was still left sitting on the ground. The pressure relief valve burst soon after, causing a flood. I had another plumber came to repair and was told the water heater was probably not probably set up, thus causing the water pressure too high....
Disastrous!
