My tenant's secondary toilet was not receiving water. I sent a request over Yelp and while many responded, Culpeper Home Services was the only company that actually engaged in dialogue with me. I was very impressed. Furthermore, they were able to secure an appointment for me the very next day. Our technician was very knowledgeable, friendly, informative, effective, and quick. Even with a parts run, he was able to complete the job in less than a couple hours. He also gave me proactive advice about other potential future issues I may have with plumbing and provided me with options. I will definitely be using them again.

I am SO impressed with Culpeper Home Services! When I explained to Russell (the owner) what I was hoping to have done, he told me exactly what he could and could not do. He scheduled an appointment for me, and his staff called beforehand to let me know Thomas (the electrician) was on his way. Thomas was fantastic--extremely competent and incredibly friendly. He went over and beyond what I expected him to do, and I will be forever grateful. I'm happy, too, to find a local home service provider whom I can trust to provide excellent service at a fair, competitive price.

We had our garage ceiling leaking unable to figure out where the leak was coming from. Contacted CHS and Tiffany who answered the phone, Jessica who updated me with dispatching a technician, Jason, who was very honest and knowledgeable about the problem we were dealing with were all so great! We cannot thank you guys enough. We will definitely call for help again in the future.

First let me say, they quoted a price and i sent them away. I needed an electrician to diagnose and fix two fixtures, change a wall outlet to grounded, and run a wire - the quote was $3500. Donny arrived about noon and said this could be completed this afternoon. Suppies for this should be less than $50.00 - making their labor cost for one afternoon $3450.

We had a sewage backup that needed snaking and diagnosis. Culpeper Home Services did successfully snaked the line, but they charged nearly $600 for it. The technician used a camera but still couldn't tell us where the sewer lines went, and he also told us there were roots in the line, causing the issue. He ballpark estimated a whopping $15,000 for the fix, and went so far as to say the garage might have to come down. Two other companies came out and quoted me $2,500-4,500 for the same project with no interference with the garage. They both also let us watch the camera and showed us quite clearly that there were never any roots; rather, the lines were starting to buckle and cave in. The pricing of this company is outrageous with little apparent expertise to back it up.

5 star? Not so much. Office assistant leaves lots to be desired...misread email and cancelled my appointment without telling me. After getting angry about the cancellation, Jason and helper showed up and within 1.5 hours gone. Don't take the quote...time and material only! Buyer beware. Bad followup on customer questions, doesn't listen to requirements. The job was completed well but was ripped off...the way I figure it, $350/hour plus about $400 in material. I think I'll stick with the old timers who are honest and not in a rush.

Contacted Russ based on the many 5-star reviews on Google and Yelp, as well as his close proximity. He and his coworker were courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. They addressed our issue, and we were billed according to the estimate. Wouldn't hesitate to contact them again.
