We needed to get a plumber somewhat urgently, as suddenly our kitchen faucet was shot and unusable (maybe 20 yrs old). Sadly our regular plumber was not available. Scouring many posts on Nextdoor and Yelp I called this highly recommended company. They arrived on time, work clean and efficient (45 mins) extremely polite. Prior to arrival we purchased the faucet so all that was required was installation (and replacing 1 turn off valve underneath the sink). My biggest regret,stupid stupid mistake was not asking a ballpark price prior to work beginning . So it cost us $350.......$350! No debating with the owner that is his cost factoring in not just labor but the cost of doing business in today's economy. This morning well after the fact and as suggested by the owner of Cullen I called other local plumbers for price estimates and clearly we paid $100-125 over what it might have cost had I done better searching. I am so sorry I didn't just pull a garden hose through the window until my regular plumber was back. Moral of the story triple check any recommendations found on Nextdoor or Yelp before making a final decision.

Cullen Plumbing is the only one to call! The business & family have been in town since forever (ok, maybe 4 or so generations?) & you can count on them for: 1. Excellent service; 2. Prompt service; 3. Professional & courteous service people & 4. Reasonable prices. I've used them many times in my home in this town.

Needed septic lateral repair in a crawl space (awkward access). Paul came the next day and looked at the challenges and responded with a quote later that evening. I accepted and his crew showed up when expected and did a great job- clean, neat respectful of my property. I'd use them again and highly recommend.

We had a leaky shower handle and we had used them before so we gave them a call. They didn't pick up and the call went to an answering machine. Left a detailed message. They never even returned the call. Not even sure if they are in business anymore.

Very responsive and knowledgeable. Have had them at our business twice. The first time was for a job that our regular plumber told us would involve breaking the ground to access pipes underneath. Cullen came and snaked it from the outside in, and it turned out to be a great big grease ball and a fairly simple job. We are very happy to have found them on Yelp and very pleased with their service. They do all our plumbing work now.

Called Cullen recently when my sump pump failed. They had a plumber there replacing the sump pump in less than an hour. Can't comment on price as I had not had this service performed in 13 years and I was not in a position to ""price shop""; this was an emergency and they got it done. Plumber was courteous and worked quickly. High marks for responsiveness. I am a first time customer who will be a repeat customer.

My new home is not located in Bernardsville. Your company was the hands down WORST service company we have ever used. We will be telling any and everyone we knoW to NEVER use your company.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. ...unless you feel like paying incompetent men to show up hours late and stand around playing on their phones telling you they'll get back to you because they don't know how to fix a simple plumbing issue. Only to have them disappear for a month, call saying they know how to fix it, send the owner to your house - LATE AS USUAL - only for HIM to stand there playing on his phone for hours only to tell you ""ill have to go do some research on how to make the repair and get back to you and let you know if we can"". WASTE OF TIME. Called another Mendham plumber - fixed it in days. Came highly recommended and will be recommending him to everyone in my company of 3,500 people in this area when anyone nEeds a plumber

Overall my experience was awful. Called about a clogged drain and was told that there was a $185 flat fee for snaking. 2 incompetent plumbers came and cold not fixed the clogged drain. The said they needed a longer snake. They came back and forgot the camera to inspect the pipe and still could not fix the clog. Then the owner came a third time and finally unclogged the drain. Then they sent us a bill for $575. They said they had to use a hydro jet and that was the cost. They never mentioned that equipment was necessary or the big jump in price. Also I know for a fact that renting that equipment cost about $50 per day so his effective hourly rate was $525.

After complaining about the poor service and lack of transparency the owner lowered the bill to $500 plus tax.

WILL NEVER USE THIS PLUMBER AGAIN!
