Worst experience ever! Charlie called on Monday and said he'd be out Tuesday then came out fixed something completely unrelated and left. My wife tried to catch him as he was walking out the door for leaving without fixing the problem. I tried to call his number but he didn't answer. Was the weirdest thing. When he finally did answer he said to call a plumber that can remove blockages because he doesn't do that and that he said was the problem. Now it's been a week and he finally unaided his report so we could get a real plumber out here. Don't waste your time with CT Plumbing.

No stars for these people. Sears home warranty sent them out to repair my kitchen faucet. He came out on a Tuesday took a quick look and said he was going to order a replacement faucet and that he would be back at the end of the week. He spent about five minutes in my house and left. On Friday at the end of the week since I had not heard from them I texted him for an update, no reply. Later on Friday I texted him again asking for an update, no reply After calling and leaving a voice message he sent back a nearly incoherent text basically saying "he hadn't heard anything from them, working". So Saturday morning I called Sears and Sears informs me that this guy had informed them that I had altered my kitchen faucet and it was not covered under the warranty. I have not altered the faucet. I am 67 year old woman and partially disabled from arthritis. No I made no changes to the faucet.
One day not long ago the spray nozzle off to the right of the faucet broke in my hand while I was using it in the on position. So it was squirting water all over the kitchen every time the faucet was turned on. My son removed the broken trigger and put a cap on it just as a temporary thing to prevent water from spraying all over the kitchen. And even if that might be considered altering, I did not alter the faucet. It still needs to be replaced. Sears has assigned me another service provider and Sears tells me that they will not charge me another hundred dollar deductible, so this all remains to be seen how it turns out. They sent me another plumbers name and I have called them and left them a message yesterday Saturday and I still haven't heard back from anyone today. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that it's a weekend and I hopefully will hear from them tomorrow on Monday. I am also going to report CT Texas plumbing to the Better Business Bureau as well. I cannot believe that this guy basically attempted to cause me to lose $100 and not get my faucet repaired with my home warranty. Whatever you do, do not use this company for any kind of plumbing problem.

Update: Contacted the BBB about CT TX Plumbing. 'Charlie' refused to respond to them. He now has a permanent (for 3 years) mark on his BBB status. This guy is a complete scam.

Had a leak from shower to downstairs room. CT comes out. He looks, says I need a ladder. Goes and gets ladder. Comes back, looks in hole, says I need to make hole bigger. Leaves to truck, comes back with hole saw, cuts hole. Fishes around inside, says "I think I found it, I need a wrench" back out to truck, comes back with ONE wrench. Tries to tighten pipe. Asks me to run water. I do. It leaked. Says he needs to tighten it more. I say I was worried that he may need to take shower pan out. Goes back out to truck. Comes back with can of plumbers putty. Goops a HUGE amount in drain of shower. Says if it doesn't work, "may have to try something else". Doesn't drip.... Then he says something I am still blown away by...

Says: "good thing the shower doesn't have to come out or you would need to call someone that knows what they were doing". Then tells me not to patch ceiling for a while in case it leaks again. Guess what? Leaked the very next time.

Reopen ticket with Total Protect. They tell us to call him back. He doesn't answer for over a week. Then calls back and says he was on vacation. So we schedule two days in advance for him to come back. He is a no show.

Next step: credit card claim, formal complaint with Total Protect, BBB complaint, and this yelp review. I wish I had seen the other reviews ahead of time.

CT plumbing is one of the largest scams there is. I am a property manager, my client has home warranty service (to set the stage). He was assigned by the HW company, charged a $75.00 deductible which is standard, took 10 days to get the water heater in, then called my company on the day of installation, that it will be an additional $775.00 for permits. I nearly lost it and told him to go and .... NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I am wondering why have home warranty company... WHAT A SCAM...

All I can say right now is I wished I had read all the bad comments about this horrible plumbing company. Charles came to my home Dec.4, 2018 He replaced a small pipe on top of water-heater, that really did not need to be replaced. Said the heater was leaking from the bottom, the floor was wet and as been since that day. I mop that floor 3-4 daily. Was told I'd be getting a new heater - then took my 120.00 dollars AND I have not heard one word from that bastard. I've called him forever and he has not returned my calls. Talked to the main company all the time and they tell me he's waiting for parts- how long does that take ????? Called again this week and was told that the heater was already installed !!!!!! I won't go into details, but she was going to report it. As of yesterday we do not have hot water, and today I was told they finally got hold of him and was going to call it is now 12:33am and haven't heard from him and I sure he doesn't work on Sunday so I don't know what is going to happen. Wish me luck !!!!! Dee R.

I have moved this to a two star since they called me upon seeing this and have offered to replace the faucet in 2-3 weeks. If and when this occurs , I will gladly offer a better review.

This is the worst customer service. Information for plumber was given to me by the management property that is renting out the home. Gave him a call and he never responded until the next day. When called he said he could not come out until Friday which was fine, but after he left I no longer had hot water when I did have hot water before. When he arrived he stated the hot water heater needed to be replaced and would be done on Monday. Monday came and I received no call. I called him and left multiple messages I did not get a call back until the next day. He stated he has not received the hot water heater, maybe Thursday. Called him again and he stated he has not received info back from warranty company. Both I and the management property have been trying to reach him and we have not received a call back. He should not be in business!

Very unethical. Came to my home to repair/replace my hot water heater as a contractor for Sears Home Warranty. I paid the $100 service fee and he said he would order the heater and be back in a couple days to install it. Got a call on the 4th day from Sears saying there would be an additional fee of $825 to complete the replacement. These charges were from CT Texas Plumbing and were bogus. Such as permits, which he previously told me that I didn't need as my home was not in city limits. Also for replacement of certain items that were already installed and in good condition. I looked up his record and found out that this is his modus operandi. I requested my service fee back due to his fraud, but he refused. I would not recommend Sears Home Warranty and CT Texas Plumbing. They were not timely and also fraudulent.

Horrible customer service. CT Texas plumbing was sent out to replace my water heater by my warranty company. They were scheduled to arrive Sunday. When I called to confirm he told me they don't work Sundays. Rescheduled for Monday. He showed up determined the water heater needed to be replaced. I paid the $86 deductible and never head back from him. He told the warranty company there would have to be $1,000 of "up grades" due to code changes. I live outside city limits. My house is not even five years old. This is after he had to resubmit his findings to my warranty company 6 days later. I called him multiple times and left multiple messages and he didn't return one call. After 14 days I finally bought a new water heater and installed it myself. DO NOT USE CT TEXAS PLUMBING!!

Total Home Protect Home Warranty sent Charles or CT Plumbing to my service call. My water heater died and it needed to be replaced, and I told him that.

I take a day off to deal with replacing the water heater. CT PLumbing was supposed to be there at 1:00 p.m., after 30 minutes, I call CT Plumbing and Charles tells me he is at the shop and will be at my home in 20 minutes. Charles shows up to my home with no badge, uniform or tools, however, I let him in to look. After a 5 minute evaluation, he ask for his $75 co-pay. He informs me that he does not have a hot water heater with him and he had 2 other calls to make, so he would not be able to work on my issue today. He then tells me that it would be 3-7 days before he can get to it. `

Total Protect calls me to inform me that my cost for the repair would be $575.00! They said the contractor was going to charge a $150 inspection fee and another part for the repair at a cost of $250. Needless to say, our city does not charge $150 for a water heater replacement inspection and the part he was going to charge me $250 for, is a $30.00 part!!! I hired my own plumber, and will receive a low ball reimbursement from Total Protect. Saved a bit of money on the job, heck, I could have done it myself for about $575.

Do not hire CT plumbing.
