Look at our pictures of the damage Crown Wheele did to our hone. They incorrectly installed a geothermal unit in our lower level that flooded and destroyed our home.
The upstairs unit they installed locked up and is unfixable after only a few months.
Crown Wheele took no responsibility and just sent us their insurance company number!
We are not into bashing anybody.. but this gross negligence. We paid over $50,000 to this company only to have our pipes freeze and burst on Christmas Day. They are not a ""family"" company. Andy and Barbara are crooks and just awful human beings. They could care less how a family with 3 children had no heat during the polar vortex. They took our money , Andy Wheele admitted after the damage that he was probably too ""junior"" to have taken on our home hvac project.
I would not take the time to post a review if it wasn't so deplorable and despicable. Just look at our pictures.
We have had Earl's Heating replace both units that were brand new. The units were installed incorrectly and dangerously. The dangling wires on the house should have been contained in pvc and the wires from the unit should have been buried. The one line is 220 voltage and could have electrocuted my children or animals
Sharon W.We had a geothermal unit installed in our new build 10 years ago, as did my parents with their new build. Our heating bills were astronomical, even up to $1,000 monthly on cold months. We were told the bill on geothermal would be no more than $300 a month. Three of my north facing bedrooms are like ice in the winter. We repeatedly complained about the system to Crown Wheele, and when a tech came out he said everything was working fine. Yes, the unit was working fine, but what we didn't know was that the coil in the ground, which made the geo energy, wasn't big enough to service our house or my parents's house, which meant we were heating our house with not geothermal but with electricity. We had three opinions on what was wrong with the unit and they all said the loop wasn't the right size and the duct work wasn't right, and the unit couldn't pump enough warm air into the rooms upstairs. We've had to use space heaters to make them comfortable enough. There's also a weird snapping noise that happens around the house.
The only solution is to haul out the geothermal and replace it with a new gas furnace. My parents bought a new gas furnace but we are unable to afford the $17,000 for a new one, so we are stuck with these expense bills until we can. I did call Mr. Wheele and he denied any issues with it and said I should have come to him sooner. He also accused me of not paying a bill from two years ago, which never happened. The geothermal unit was twice what a gas furnace would have been, not to mention our incredible expensive monthly utility bills. I can imagine that we are in the $50,000 mark now. Do not frequent this business.
Marshall W.crown wheele did my complicated new home with multiple geothermal units, fresh air systems ,dehumidifier for indoor pool etc. Most other companies would not even bid the job. they did it right the first time ,AND under budget! I would not call anyone else.
Amateurs. Complete scam. Unprofessional staff. Beware of phony positive reviews on their website. Bad sign when their serviceman shows up & the customer knows more than them. Didn't know what they were doing. Huge waste of time & money. Staff lied, and when confronted, they turned rude and belligerent.
Paid $119 diagnosis fee to troubleshoot a tankless system which was fine since it was a Friday night. They were unable to complete the job and were unwilling to return in the morning to finish job. Basically they took the fee without doing any work.
Owner accused us of being a poor risk for payment. A baseless accusation.
KEEP AWAY FROM THIS SHADY OUT FIT. POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS.
Crown-Wheele recently completed the Install of a top of the line Bryant Evolution system without a single hitch. Andy Wheele and Tom (the service tech) are without peer in comparison to their local competition (in my opinion). They took the time to answer all of my questions, quoted me a very competitive price, and installed the entire system very quickly (3 days after arriving at a suitable proposal).
I will absolutely do business with them again.
