I will never, ever use this company again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. Went with Crown because they were doing the maintenance on my A/C system previously. Crown told me I needed a new Condenser coil. I felt their price was high and I wanted to get a couple other quotes, but hey, it's August and it's like 90 degrees, so I had them do the job. They made me pay half upfront for the part -~$1600, even though the part was $1200. After completion I asked for a breakdown of the cost in terms of parts and labor. The techs made some lame excuse as to why they couldn't do that. I called their office several times, they hung up on me twice, and never called me back. Also, I meant to tell the techs I wanted the old coil but forgot. So in my discussion about the bill, I asked for the old coil back since it has copper scrap value, they in essence refused, so they basically stole the part from me, as they never asked me if they could take it. Do yourself a favor, go with a smaller, local independently owned contractor. Ask for an itemization of the cost and keep in mind that some parts of an AC unit have scrap value.

Let me start off and saying they installed them system not to specs. This came from the owners mouth. The owner did take the system out and install it again. I have had nothing but issues. They cut the heater bottom out, they set my system to one stage even after I told them I wanted it om 2 stages. They had to come out for the pump leaking water all.over the basement. They had to come out for no heat in my kitchen they had to come out for no heat in my kids room 4 times. Then they had to come out for a few other things. Then on the 23rd I had to call the emergency line because again the unit is leaking water all over my basement. It caused so much water it ruined alot of things in my basement. They called back ok the w3rd at 1127 pm and said they can't get out till Tuesday the 28th. I waited and waited today and no call or no owne showed I called the office about 4 and asked why. The owner Scott said he didn't care that they didn't show today because the techs were overworked. Now mind you my system was installed the end of October 2022 not either 3 months old and I have had to have this company out over 11 times to fix issues with their install. I have been lied to and nothing has been simple with this company.the only good thing I can say Don the main tech honestly cares and will try to do it right

PRICE GOUGERS
If you like overpaying for service this is the company to go to for OUTRAGEOUS pricing.
Since they installed my A/C unit back in 8-2017 I had Crown Heating and Cooling come to repair the unit, which was a big mistake.
I agreed to pay their $99.00 service call to come to my house. The phone call to them I informed them of the unit freezing which we agreed was probably a leak and I was told to turn off unit to allow icing to melt.
Technician quoted $260.62 for up to 2 pounds of F410A refrigerant to temporarily get unit working until he could come back and perform class 2 electronic leak test and I agreed to $131.00 for the test and coolant charge which now I regret.
Did some online research about Lennox units leaking and 2 things of several I learned was:
1) most leaks are at the evaporator coil
2) average industry estimated hours to perform certain services
Technician returned another day and went right to the evaporator coil and found a leak at the aluminum cap tubing fitting and informed me the the coil had to be replaced. I asked if it could be repaired and he replied no they could not repair aluminum. I was quoted $1128.00 to remove old and replace with a new warranty evaporator coil. Having researched average time to perform such a service I refused the OUTRAGEOUS quote.
Lennox requires warranty work be done by one of their authorized dealers and I requested quotes and all were much lower than what Crown Heating and Cooling quoted.
Had the repair done by an authorized dealer and they did an excellent job at a reasonable price and would highly recommend them(will provide the dealers name if requested)
One of several reviews I have gave Crown Heating and Cooling was on Google and their response was to call them and discuss their quote. I do not believe in verbal responses (too much controversy) need a more transparent written answer. Another complaint I did against them was on the BBB site and their response implied my repair was done a lower quality dealer which they worded as an alternate level of service. If you go to the Lennox website they list their authorized dealers who meet their high standards and Crown Heating and Cooling is on that list. Also on the website they list their PREMIER dealers which are their BEST dealers and Crown Heating and cooling is not a Lennox PREMIER dealer. The dealer who did my repair is a PREMIER dealer and is superior to Crown Heating and Cooling and as stated before did an excellent job at a reasonable price. How can Crown Heating and Cooling justify their PRICE GOUGING prices?
Do not make the mistake I did. Get other quotes for service and see for yourself how bad CROWN HEATING and COOLING really is.

Had CROWN HEATING and Cooling , Uniontown Ohio come to my house to repair my air conditioning unit and was charged $99.00 which I was told was their standard price. The technician determined coolant was low. He put 2lbs of f410a coolant in system and charged me $260.62 . He then quoted $131.00 to come back a do a level 2 electronic leak test which I agreed to have them do.
When technician came back to perform the leak test he went right to the evaporator coil and found the leak.(Prior to leak test I did some research and discovered Lenox had a problem with their coils) I was informed by technician that I would need a new coil an since my unit was installed 8-2017 the parts only are covered under Lenox warranty. I was quoted $1128.00 for labor only(coolant would be extra). Based on my prior research I knew this quote was outrageous and declined their quote. An authorized Lenox dealer is required to perform warranty repairs and I requested more quotes from Lenox authorized dealers and all quotes were much LOWER than CROWN HEATING and COOLING. Got repair done by authorized Lenox dealer and was very pleased. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price and I would highly recommend them(will gladly provide the name if requested).
In conclusion I would not recommend having service performed by CROWN HEATING and COOLING unless you enjoy PRICE GOUGING. Get quotes from other dealers and see how bad CROWN HEATING and COOLING really is.

Loved they showed up with a mask, safety is everything right now. The technicians are generally clean and leave their work space cleaner before they arrive. Thank you!

They serviced my heating and A/C system for 19 years and always did a great job until this year. I've had a maintenance agreement with them all those years where they service the system spring and fall. They always call to schedule the appointment but we didn't hear from them this year so we called the last week of April to get the A/C serviced. They said the couldn't do it until July!!! What the heck! The A/C season is half over by then. They were courteous but said July was the soonest they could do it. That's terrible service to give someone who has been a faithful customer for 19 years! So they've lost my business and I will be telling everyone I can about this and urging them not to use Crown Heating & Cooling because they don't care squat about their customers!

My mom had a leak in a drain pipe in the basement. My parents were long time customers of Crown Heating, so I suggested she call them. They came out to look at the pipe, said he couldn't fix it, and charged her $100 for 10 minutes looking at the pipe. He said it takes a plumber with more experience. That is why I had her call Crown. I thought they had experienced plumbers. I called to question the charge since he didn't even take a tool in the house. I was told that they would refund her money as soon as her check cleared. After not receiving a refund, I called again. I was then told that the first person I spoke to was overruled and no refund would be coming. She has since moved her service contracts and other work to another company. It took me about 30 minutes, but I fixed the leak myself. They got her $100, but lost a lot of direct and referral business.

I'm in a 3 year old home built by Prestige Homes. Crown did all the heating and cooling in the house. Since moving into our home 3 years ago we've had 3 major heating and cooling issues. The 1st 2 issues were covered by warranty. But NOW..... A Component on our furnace went bad 3 days ago and we had no heat. Paid $200 for the emergency service call because we had sub zero temps outside. Found out it was the ""zone board"" that went bad. We were told (by CROWN HEATING AND COOLING) The furnace is still under warranty but this particular component is NOT. This particular component only has a 2 year warranty and costs $775 to replace. And even though THEY installed it.... and it's on THEIR furnace....that THEY sold us..... it's not THEIR problem. And since it's manufactured by a completely different company (Zonex) there's nothing they can do about it. We were told we'd have to call Zonex. But we need the serial number off the component. Which is conveniently missing.

Called PRESTIGE HOMES and basically got a ""sucks to be you"" response. They actually said ""yeah, sorry, we don't even use Crown H&C anymore because they weren't very responsive and weren't meeting deadlines yadda yadda....there's nothing we can do about it"".

Moral of the story? Do NOT use Crown H&C. We've had nothing but issues with the stuff they installed in this house. And don't stand by their products.

Absolutely terrible!!!! Just had our new air conditioning unit serviced a few months ago. Last week turned on the air and.....nothing! Called Crown, they said it would be a $45 dollar diagnostic fee. What? We have a contract which covers parts and labor. BUT they have you by the short hairs so we paid - not just 45 but $101 by the end of the visit!! SO the control board was blown and they have to order it....not from some far away land but from CLEVELAND OHIO. Heard nothing from them, suffering it out in this 90+ degree heat. Called this morning and talked to some 12 year old girl who said they would call us when the part came in. I offered to go get the part since it was only in Cleveland and they can't manage to get it themselves. She just said ""um, no we get all our parts"". I can't even imagine what the fee will be to install since we had to pay $101 just to hear, ya it's broken. I'll be looking for a competent company this morning.

The speed of service was great. The technician knew what he was doing. I had my heat back on within 2 hrs of calling. The price however was pretty steep. $89 for showing up and 1/2 of work. The one part they changed out was $227. I did look up the price. Everywhere I looked it was $40 to $50.
Is my house warm?yes. Did they get here quickly? Yes. Was the technician knowledgeable?Yes. Would I use them again? Probably not.
