Recommended Customer Reviews

Never received an email. 80% of the content in the response is a contrived missive and just not true. Their original comment was so full of hate, mean accusations and insults, it was taken down! The person who wrote it wasn't even here.
I'm not making this up. The review is just sharing my negative experience.
I only know of this plumber Steve because even though he did not install the water heater, he was ""recruited"" by CA Plumbing to come to my home. There is a huge sign by the entrance to my home ""SECURITY CAMERAS IN USE."" I promise you, I am telling the truth. Good to note that if you ever have issues that don't please this plumber, this is what you are in for in lieu of resolution. Which is all I ever wanted. I NEVER, EVER asked anyone to lie. I NEVER EVER threatened anyone with a bad review. All of the things ""quoted"" from me are just not true. The photos are of when Steve was here, attempting to find an issue with the pressure at the hose bib. Other photos are from EMWD who took a reading and found the pressure was FINE and nothing needed to be replaced. He DID NOT run the water in the lav sinks. I did NOT prevent him from running the water. This is not a forum for disputes or insults. I am not attacking anyone personally. I am just sharing my experience that happened to be negative. This plumber Steve called me and coerced his way into my home saying he was going to ""help me"" resolve the issues created by his plumber friend Chris of CAPlumbing. He presented himself as a Master Plumber. CSLB only has ONE CLASSIFICATION - Plumber C-36. He said he was here because I wanted a ""second opinion."" That is just not even true. These 2 guys are making things up instead of addressing the issue. It was a set up. I felt mocked the entire time. Trust me! I am not stupid, and I pretty much do write good reviews. Check them out.
I paid Chris $800 to install a water heater: that's like $300 an hour. Which left me in a way worse situation than with my old water heater. Chris was not successful troubleshooting, and pretty much abandoned the job, walked off and refuses to respond to my 6 emails so far trying to resolve this with him. He just kept ghosting me!
So he never shared with me he was recruiting Steve, who came to my home, utilized a lot of smoke and mirrors trying to trick me into agreeing to things that were not entirely true or accurate. He explained he was going to prepare a ""report,"" for Chris, but won't share it with me! I told him I wanted a copy. He said OK. I asked him what is he putting in the report, and he replied, that the water is hot. I told him you NEED TO INCLUDE it takes a very long time and the Customer is telling you that DID NOT HAPPEN 5 hours before this install. Yes, I am getting hot water, but only after gallons and gallons are going down the drain. Chris did not implement standard SoCal Gas recommendations. I'm old. Steve opens the faucets in my bathtub full blast, and says ""see, the water is hot, isn't it?""
I'm like yes, but it took forever and I DON'T BRUSH MY TEETH IN THE BATHTUB! The sink faucet takes FOREVER! WAY LONGER than before. Which he NEVER opened.
So he wants to sell me a $400 pressure adjuster. Tells me he is calling the City to check the pressure. That he calls them all the time. That is JUST NOT TRUE!
I called the City. You need to call EMWD and they will come and check the pressure! I am telling him, it's the same pressure as before, and the hot water was ALWAYS FINE! EMWD DID check it and it's perfect and nothing needs to be replaced.
It was all just mutual CYA!
It became clear to me this was an attempt to turn it around to be my fault and take sides. Really, you're getting a pressure reading touching your gauge to a pipe? He NEVER checked the water pressure at the bib. Or at the water heater. Besides, there's a Pressure Regular attached, so if it IS too low, you can adjust it! Not tell your Customer they need a $400 part! Geez! I need to do all of this investigating? He figured out everything for his ""report"" in10 minutes, but took off? How was that ""helping"" me?
If Steve were a true friend, he would tell Chris, just fix it, and recuse himself. Because here we are and I'm writing a review about HIM! All of this is unnecessary and nuts! I don't like it. Creating a lot of stress and inconvenience.
Would MUCH RATHER be writing a 5 Star review. Who needs this?

Steve and Amy are awesome! We had a vision of what we wanted for our bathroom in our Auto Shop and they made it happen. You guys are our go to plumbers from here on out and will recommend you guys to everyone we know. Thank you so much for everything!

Steve and Amy are true professionals and provide excellent customer service and workmanship. They were very responsive to our plumbing needs and we're reasonably priced. Highly recommend and I will be calling them back for any future work.

They are absolutely the best. I needed to have someone come out and find and fix a leak. They came out and did the best job. They are honest and have a fair price. I highly recommend them!

This was the first time hiring Crouse Plumbing. Steve came out very quickly and the job was done right. Great communication and friendly service. It was a small job, but he still made it a priority and got to me ASAP. I highly recommend Crouse Plumbing and I will contact them again for any further needs.

Steve is truly an amazing and genuine person overall and his work is impeccable. He is a trustworthy worker and goes above and beyond with his customer service. I recently met Steve when I needed after hours service; hence, my toilet downstairs was clogged. I needed the work ASAP because I am in the middle of selling my home and starting the open house. Steve was able to promptly repair the issue which ended up being a little more than what we expected, but he was able to take care of everything in no time. In addition, we had another minor issue with our sink upstairs and Steve genuinely agreed to fix it right there and then after working hard on fixing our toilet issue downstairs during after hours. We highly recommend his services if you're looking for someone with integrity and honesty. Thank you so much for everything Steve and Amy!

Oh my gosh! We are a repeat customer. We needed a new kitchen faucet, so we purchased one at Lowes that looked similar to the one we had previously installed by Lowes. Well, the new one didn't fit. Steve went the extra mile (literally). He went to Lowes AND Home Depot to select one that WOULD fit and installed it for us. I can't say enough about Steve and his unbelievable customer service.
We are totally satisfied with his dedication to doing a great job and to doing what is right.

I hired Steve to install a Grundfos water pressure pump (he cleared a drain blockage previously). If you want an honest plumber who charges a fair price, you want Steve. He is focused on client satisfaction and customer service. His work is excellent.

These guys do a great job. We refer them to handle our clients and everyone has been super happy. The pricing is very fair and they always answer their phone. I highly recommend Crouse Plumbing.

Always love reviewing great companies. Went to review this and found I already did. This time is for a big job though.
Steve installed a water pressure pump for us to boost pressure for our city water.
Not only was his bid better than 2 other companies, but he found a way to locate the pump at a far better spot. He did this on his own without prompting...by thinking the project through. The others were going to put the pump at the street but he didn't like that idea and suggested installing it at the house.
The job turned out to be more complex than expected because the builder had decided to locate the water main UNDER the sidewalk.
This is where Steve really shined. Instead of breaking the concrete, he did the amazing thing...we had a big hole dug for him and he crawled under the sidewalk to hook up the pump successfully. This was truly over the top! It would've been so much easier to break the concrete. No extra charge.
At one point, Jill came to help. She smelled gas leaking near the work site. We had never smelled it before. Steve was able to fix the leak. We got way more than we bargained for.
This team really is super in every way. They show up on time, schedule quickly, do the job right, and they even clean up beautifully. They are happy and upbeat as they work...a pleasure to be around.
I can't say enough! Steve thinks about every step of the job. He was obviously determined to make us happy. A few times I told him something was good enough...like the way the concrete slab had been poured tilted toward the house instead of away (someone else did this part). He fixed the tilt anyway because he wants it to be right.
Steve takes pride in his work. So does Jill. And it shows.
