I really appreciate these guys coming to my home today. I had an emergency during the night and they quickly returned my call. The guys were very polite and even apologized for the noise. I moved back to the area 2 weeks ago and remembered how my dad sang their praises when he was alive. He utilized this small business for over 20 years and know I know why. I will def use their services for all my plumbing needs!

Crawford's Plumbing is on license probation now, I learned from another unhappy customer that contacted me through Facebook after reading my review.

I have already submitted my complaint to the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors. The Board has replied and also given me a comprehensive list of other NC State Boards that would like to hear this issue. All of a sudden, the company called Friday to schedule a time to have one of the owners COME BACK out to go over the issues. This is the same owner who asked me if I would remove my BBB complaint. To which I responded, ""Yes, when you fix the initial problem and those that resulted from the initial oversights."" He said, ""Ok, see you tomorrow."" That conversation was on a Thursday and Friday rolled around and I had coffee and tea brewing - Nothing. No response to numerous calls to the main line AND their EMERGENCY LINE.

Complaint Details - Review - Big Fat Zero.
I used Crawford's Plumbing because my family had used them in the past for simple things like updating plumbing features. So, I called them and I needed them because my basement was flooding. They said they found the problem with a leaky pipe that my son Aaron had noticed, So they began tearing up my front yard with a backhoe to replace what they said was a leaky pipe. Now my basement floods to about 3 to 4 inches on a light rain. On a hard rain, it floods big time and has RUINED my basement and carouselled into the foundation where they dug and flooded on the other side of the basement and out into the yard. The result is that the rain water has pooled onto the other side of the basement and out into my backyard making it soggy with rain water and causing holes and dips in the yard. Items in the basement on the floor were ruined. I had to place everything on pallets to try to prevent further damage. I have called and called and finally someone came out from Crawford's. (The older gentleman that lives in Eden, NC who has replaced a faucet and initially dealt with the issue I am speaking of now) Once I found the issue myself, I showed him where the work they performed earlier was broken and a waterfall was coming down the basement wall as a result. He also said that another place they dug was leaking next to this issue. He got an attitude like I have never seen before and began yelling at ME that it was not his problem. HE IS SO WRONG. I just had another plumbing company (the owner of the company actually) from the City of Greensboro come out and he told me there were a lot of issues that was caused as a result of Crawford's digging and not fixing and sealing the initial problem. I wish I could upload pictures here to show where Crawford was digging 6 feet deep in front of my septic tank. They broke the brick and siding and did not seal anything they did. They put 2 pieces of cardboard and a yellow seal around them inside of the basement ""pipe"" they said they found..

Desired Outcome/Settlement

Desired Settlement: Repair that which was leaking. (Never mentioned the other pipe that was leaking). This yellow stuff they sprayed has fallen off as a result of improperly performing the work and every time it rains, the basement floods. This is a full house basement. I have contacted the company many times. Finally their rep came out and yelled at me after looking at the problem. He yelled that it was not their problem. The basement was still leaking as a result of their shoddy initial repair that did not fix the problem and has caused major additional problems. I have asked that the owner, Mr. Mike Crawford contact me. My friend and me have called the regular and emergency number 40 or 50 times and get no response. Hence, why I called a reputable company to come out and tell me that the basement and subsequent flooding is a result of Crawford's ""repair"". I have called Crawford to get a game plan and a cost to fix their problems. No response. I am going to file a complaint and arbitration with the Contractor's State Licensing Board and The NC State Board of Plumbing I understand this company is already on Probation to lose their License and I want them to fix it before they do! FIX IT!!

I had to leave a 90k year career in 2016 on Perm Disability. My insulation has rotted since and is making me even more physically sick. They are on license probation now, I understand. I wish for people to be aware of the dangers of hiring Crawford Plumbing. Having seen firsthand the mess they made at a friends house , i cannot believe that anyone would hire them. They dug up her flower bed along the house , found the problem , but didn,t fix it. In fact they messed up part of her foundation.Plus now , the water levels in her basement are tragic! much worse than before they dug up her yard. Steps should be taken to ensure the safety of other peoples homes here. I myself have called and left many messages ,but they have never answered phone , nor returned any of my friends ,or my texts.I find it hard to fathom how a ""family run"" business , around for 30 years would do this sort of shoddy work , nor respond when asked to rectify the situation.

Update...I hired Go Green Plumbing to take out the plumbing that Crawford put in. Not only did he not get proper inspections on my shower, he DOUBLE TRAPPED IT, which is against code! And it's also why it never drained properly! Pete and Josh got rid of the double trap and the poorly installed water lines and put everything back the way it was supposed to be over 2 years ago!
