We had a downstairs sink overflow when draining a bathtub upstairs. I called the next day at 7:30am and they arrived at my house by 10. About an hour later they had located a restriction in the stack, and snaked it out.

5 star service for being clean, professionally, and not pushing unnecessary work, but knocking 1 star off because it felt a little expensive at around $350 for an otherwise remarkable drain unclogging. I think the last time I had this done in another place it was closer to $200 so I was a little surprised but getting it addressed quickly and professionally was worth the premium.

I'll definitely ask them to quote some upcoming projects around the house but I will probably seek another quote or two just to ensure the price is in range. I might just be out of touch with current market rates.

Pretty disappointed, they got a gun to your head when your ac is down and boy do they use it. Over 300 bucks for a hard start that probably cost them 10 bucks. Someone I know recommended but I certainly won't be taking any recommendations from that guy again. And they wonder why they get reputations.

I have used them for years for plumbing issues around the house. They recently came to unclog my kitchen sink when it stopped draining. They came the same day I called and were reasonably priced. I highly recommend...

I called them when water was leaking out of the toilet and making a mess on the floor. They arrived quickly and were able to fix the part that was leaking. I'm glad the whole toilet did not have to be replaced. Thank you!

Called for a leaking toilet. 2 guys. Only 1 worked for about an hour and 1/2 while the apprentice pretty much just stood there. $713+. Allowing an exorbitant amount for parts bill rate was almost $400/hour. Ridiculous..

After being a loyal customer for several years, I'm going to be changing to another local and much smaller operation. They have always been very responsive but I've noticed their prices have been outrageous lately. I recently paid almost $950 to have my flap in the toilet replaced, the faucet in my slop slink replaced, and the heat thermostat replaced. The exact same same thermostat at Home Depot was $31. In addition, they had to charge me an extra $25 for plate they installed behind the thermostat. Flappers cost from $10-$20 in the store.

Sorry, but this pricing is outrageous and unacceptable. I don't want to hear about the supply chain being broken because of the pandemic.

Long time customer. Very unhappy with the last contact. Called them in spring 2019 to get a new thermostat (which I knew was the problem - I have had continuous problems with the old one for years - short in the old one). This cost $400. But then I was told by Joe (not sure how he sleeps at night) that the contact on both AC units was bad (what an amazing coincidence, both went bad at once, even though half of my house was perfectly cool. That cost me over $900. Then (all the same visit btw) I was told by Joe that I probably had a leak in the Freon, and he put some Freon in the unit to test. Another amazing coincidence that this all happened while he was here. No surprise, the Freon leaked out by the end of the week. I called him back, and asked him to put a can of sealant in the unit. He refused. Joe told me I would need a whole new system. He also told me I would have to wait for an estimate to come in the mail. He (and Cranford Plumbing) literally left me sweating for over a week only to give me an outrageous estimate of $6589.00 for one unit replacement (with a Tempstar unit) . Meanwhile I called AJ Perri, who replaced most of my Freon for $99 (they also refused to put sealant in the unit and gave me an appointment for an estimate for a new unit, which I cancelled). I then called an honest local guy, who put sealant in the unit, and capped off my Freon. My AC ran perfectly after that for the rest of 2019 and all of 2020. You can draw your own conclusions. I will never use them again.

Do not use this business. I called them & had a leak under my bathroom sink. I asked how much the job would cost because I was told it would be COD. The person told me they didn't know. The tech came & replaced 2 valves. When I got the bill I was shocked, it was $350 plus tax. I questioned the bill & was told the service call was $189. When I called the company back I was told the valves cost $94.50. The same valves are under $10 in Home Depot, when I told her that she said we buy in bulk & I responded, so they are even cheaper. I was told I could deduct $25 from the bill. Big deal. I am on a fixed income & this was a big dent in my budget. Need less to say, I will never use them again & I am telling my friends & neighbors about the outrageous price they changed. Thanks a lot Cranford Plumbing!!!!!!!

They're responsive but be warned that they will charge overtime rates for work after 4:30pm even if they are contacted and start the work before 4:30pm. Overtime rates are very high. If there are 2 workers, then they will charge OT for both of them @ $425/hour! Other companies in the area I have spoken with will only charge OT if they are contacted and start work AFTER normal business hours.
