They can get to you quick but their bid was more than 50% higher than other bids. We were charged $69 for a services call that was just a waste because their other prices were way above industry prices.

Our furnace was not working and we called Craig's to come look at it. The technician did even get into the mechanical room before talking about how much it was going to cost to replace the furnace. A part had to be replace that was $1000 plus labor. I don't trust them, would never use them again, would never recommend them to anyone, and think they are not honest.

We have had the guys at Craig's out several times due to an old air conditioner and furnace. They were always quick to respond and get things up and going. We decided to take the plunge the beginning of Jan. and replace both units. They were knowledgeable and we didn't feel like they were trying to up-sale. They were honest with our options and what we needed. The install was involved and a big project with a lot of people in and out, I never felt uncomfortable or invaded. They were respectful and friendly. We highly recommend them!

Wow! I just found them through a google search and called to see if they could come and check my air conditioner since it seemed to be struggling. They were at my house a few hours later. Adam and his helper were super nice and cheerful. I will definitely be calling them in the future when I need help with heating and cooling!! They were awesome.

Last week my A/C went out during a very hot few days and I called Bryan at Craig's Appliance. He came out and determined that I needed a new A/C and furnace. His bids went from 8K to 20K. The higher amount seemed extremely high, so I settled for the $8000 bid, which would get me a bottom of the line, 80% efficiency furnace and A/C compressor and signed the agreement. The next day, we had a major medical emergency come up and I decided to postpone everything. Bryan then pointed out that if I didn't move forward with the agreement I had signed, it included in the fine print a 25% restocking fee that they would charge me! $2000 in their pocket for doing absolutely nothing! Keep in mind that this was one day after the initial contact and bid. I was mad enough to get two bids from other companies and found that they both would get me the same bottom end units for $5100, if I wanted them. That is 37% less! Well, Craig's ended up gouging me for $1200 for their ""Restocking Fee"". Big hearts.
TO RECAP: 1)They charge you around $100 for any kind of service call. 2) They scam you on a 20-25% ""restocking fee"" that they don't bother to tell you about in the fine print (yes, stupid me for not reading all of the legalize garbage). 3) They charge almost 37% HIGHER rates than their competitors. Don't get screwed by these guys. Get three bids, read the fine print and stay away from Craig's Appliance!

I picked Craigs appliance because they've been in business for a long time, I felt like I could trust them. My heating stopped working, so the next day I called them and the receptionist was really sweet and was accommodating, she said they could get someone out right away. A guy came to my house, I didn't catch his name, he changed the filter and cleaned the furnace a bit and got it working again. He came in with his sensor and said there is low signs of carbon monoxide. He showed me the sensor, stuck it in the vent and sure enough came up with .001% carbon monoxide. He said there was a leak somewhere in the furnace. He asked me where I worked and what I did....I thought that was weird, like he was trying to figure out how much money I made? I felt uncomfortable right away, like something wasn't right. He told me I had 2 choices turn off the furnace or get it replaced. Replacement was $2500 or more. I said to just turn it off. He stated he can't leave it on because it was against the law...made sense.
I got a second opinion, a friend of a friend came down checked it out and fixed the filter because it wasn't in there right, had a sensor just like Craigs and he stated the other company didn't check for carbon monoxide! I said well he had his sensor out and checked the downstairs vent. He took it upstairs and stuck it in a vent for 10 mins and there was no carbon monoxide! So watch out!. I'm not saying the whole company are dishonest, but the guy that helped me was. I wish I got his name, he was a very tall thin man. It's not even on the receipt and he charged me $99.95 to clean the sensor which takes 5 mins and put in a new filter that I had. Smh!

We thought our AC was dead so we would have charged a new unit on our credit card, but these guys were honest and found it was just a broken wire. Can't believe how fast they came out and I'm sitting in a cool home for $80 instead of paying $7000 or more for a new unit. Thanks Craigs!

After working with this company to install a new a/c, I must say that I am extremely impressed. Bryan is courteous and prompt; he also gave me his cell phone number which, I think, is unheard of. His quote for a new a/c was much lower than Scott Hale; and once we decided to pull the trigger and get a new a/c, they were able to install it the next day. Start to finish, they were here about 4 hours. If we need any future heating or cooling repairs/replacements, I know who to call first!

Bryan, when I first searched for a furnace repair co. my father in law had already called a few big name company's. I have heard enough horror story's of over charging with these outfits that I wanted to find a local small business that I would rather support.

Yes it is true I agreed to pay $659.00 to have my motor replaced because your salesman looked me in the face and told me the motor alone anywhere would cost $500.00 (not your price but anybody's price) so I'm really paying about $150 for the service repair. I was fine with that at the time. When I researched the motor on line and realized the real cost of the motor is $100.00.. That is when I felt taken advantage of and lied to. (I still didn't leave a review however).

It wasn't until 1 week later when I called about the motor not engaging again that your representative informed me that Craig's doesn't do warranty work on holidays and a service call would be $159.00 I was not happy and demanded to talk to the owner. (mind you it was 8 degrees outside) 30 minutes went by without a call so I called again. Then you finally called me and told me that you would come look at it but if it's not the blower it's going to be a service call and then you re affirmed me again after I scheduled that if it was anything at all besides the motor their will be a service call. That's when I took matters into my own hands and fixed it myself. (That is when I decided to leave a review.)

I have confirmed with another company that there charge would have been $350.00 for a motor replacement and they would have charged $200 for the motor and $150 for the service repair. That is more realistic. Every company deserves a mark-up.
