Craig and crew have helped us with a couple of different projects around the house. Most recently changing out a kitchen sink/plumbing. Not an easy task (as it was inset in tile) but, they, as usual had no issue with getting the work done and very nicely. Additional shout out to Buelhler Enterprises for their excellent help with getting the old sink out and the new sink set in the tile counter top. Fantastic job all the way around. A huge thank you to Don Holt and Craig Johnson Plumbing. I am house sitting and a toilet broke. I opened the top and had never seen such a toilet. Fortunately I stopped at Sierra market and there was a Craig Johnson truck. Don Holt stopped and scheduled a time right then and there. He was prompt. Called before he arrived took great care to protect everything. Fixed the toilet. Actually had a very unusual part on his truck. It was a Christmas Miracle. Don was awesome as was the staff at Craig Plumbing. Great communication and great service. You can't ask for more than that. Thank you...thank you. Craig sold us a special toilet that stopped functioning within a few months. He refused to honor a warranty. He overcharged us. His employee could not install a basic faucet but they charged me for his time anyway. Craig guaranteed his work and promised to reimburse us but didn't. Really bad outfit.

I have lived in Grass Valley since 1988. I have used a zillion plumbers. I have tons of disappointing stories about plumbers who are deficient and who are unacceptable.

Example #1: For years we were using Navo. My bathroom has its own separate sewage line and sewage basin with sump pump. A few years after the bathroom was completed, we had a problem with the shut-off valve and check valve assembly. Navo came and replaced it. A year or two later, it went bad again. Navo came and replaced it. A few years later, same problem again. After 3 times spending about $300 to repair a problem that kept reappearing, I got angry and did some research and found Craig Johnson Plumbing. They sent Joel Thomas. Joel went to Ferguson Supply and procured a much better, stronger, larger, and more durable shutoff/check valve assembly. He didn't just keep replacing the old cheapo parts, he upgraded. I have not had a problem since.

Example #2: Our general contractor was in the basement doing an inspection and discovered a sewage smell. I was not a happy camper when Jim told me we had a sewage leak on a plumbing installation that was only 5 years old. It turns out that the drain line under our main floor bathroom was leaking. That plumbing installation was done brand new by Penrose Plumbing in 2011, and in 2017 it was defective. Ivan fixed it.

Example #3: For years we have had a water flow issue in several bathrooms, the bathrooms on the lowest floors of the house. Water was trickling out slowly, ever so slowly, from certain fixtures. Plumbers have told us over the years that nothing could be done. Joel Thomas came one morning. It took him 4-5 hours to do it, but he repaired every single water flow issue. He flushed several appliances with Flow-Aid, he back-flushed several appliances using a different technique, and the water was gushing out of every one of those appliances like a fire hose when he was finished.

I have more examples, if you want them. Hose bibs that were still not working right after the plumber left. Thanks for nothing, Ridge Plumbing. Sink faucets that a plumber attempted to repair when the faucet needed to be replaced. The incompetence level of plumbers in Nevada County is just ridiculous.

Enough examples for you? Use Craig Johnson Plumbing. Use no other plumber. If you have a problem that never seems to be corrected, ask for Joel or Ivan, the two plumbers who can repair anything.
