My early years were spent shadowing my engineer dad, gaining skills in framing, plumbing, and even custom window installation. Post-Army, I studied to become an inspector but shifted to remodeling for greater creative and financial freedom. One homeowner’s remodel job changed my career path, and I’ve never regretted the switch.
