Routine oil furnace service. Charged $275. Waaaaaaaaay over priced. Bill does not even break down cost for labor and parts. New nozzle, filter and sensor and 30 min of labor. Has inflation hit that hard? Had to call boss for price...if you have a set labor rate and price on parts you should not have to call the boss for a price.
James R.Almost burned my house down and destroyed my furnace. I have a condensing oil furnace. Rather than figuring out how to service it they just worked on it and screwed it all up. Then they didn't want to refund my money. Steer clear unless you have a basic system.
I have been using these guys for the past three years and, even though I might give them a hard time, they are polite, professional and very helpful. When my current system dies, I will be using C. R. Powers to replace it. Thanks!
Chris is very responsive, knowledgeable, reliable and fair! We will continue to use him for all of our HVAC needs - thanks!
We called C R Powers because our AC wasn't working. They came out I told the guy the AC was running but blowing warm. He looked to see where the indoor unit was did not open it then went outside to check the unit outside. A few minutes later he came back in and told me he replace a cylinder and charge it and it didn't fix it so the unit needed to be replaced for $2,800.
He also said he left the new cylinder in the unit and the old one out by the unit. After I said ok to the work I had second thoughts about it being the unit is only four years old. I called Lebo's for a second opinion who I have used before they came out the same day and then back the following day. The problem was a bad terminal! They cleaned it put it back on cleaned a couple other things and amazingly I had AC! also no new cylinder was replaced like the guy said Lebo's said something had been disconnected buy the guy and a plug was missing. Had I not gotten a second opinion they would have ripped me off for $2,800 dollars for a new unit that didn't need to be replaced! I will never call them again and would never recommend them, why do businesses think it's ok to do this and rip people off with unnecessary work. Lebo's just got a lifetime client.
Sarah G.Last year, my father and I made an appointment to have a guy show up here to give us an estimate. The guy showed up an hour early, tried contacting my father at work (he wasn't at work since he was on his way home for the appointment) and I wasn't home yet also due to the appointment not being set until later. The guy wasn't even able to look at our stuff, but insisted that he knew what we needed and just left. My father and I never even saw the guy. Today I get an email saying my review from last year was removed. Clearly this is because the company doesn't approve of my legitimate review of their horrible service. Do not trust this business. They did not show up for their appointment at the correct time. They gave us an estimate without stepping a single foot inside of our house. Both my father and I would have both been home and ready for the appointment at the time we specifically scheduled it for.
We recently purchased a house, contingent upon the boiler being updated to 'good working order' with invoices. After two visits, the issue was not resolved and there was no detailed information provided as to what work was completed. We requested a third visit after the sale. Chris showed up with someone else 45 minutes early, arrogantly told us that we didn't want to listen to his solution (which ranged from - ""this boiler will run for 100 years"" to ""you need to replace the boiler for $4,500"" to ""you need a whole new system that we can install for $4,500."" Every interaction seemed shady. Would not use this business.
