Kyle M.My wife called and spoke with Jeanette at CPI on Monday and they showed up on Tuesday, on time, early even. The technician called to make certain that it was ok first.
Jeanette was very understanding and so helpful said my wife. I have called business's that treat you like you're sub par because they know more than you. It's not that way with CPI. She along with everyone that we've interacted with are very professional and speak to you in layman's terms that you can understand. This was Jeanette and this is CPI.
CPI will also send you a text before the techs arrival with a name and picture so that you know whom you will be interacting with, which in my opinion is extremely helpful.
Our tech was Brannigan for this call. Our inlet water line cracked so we needed the help and expertise that Brannigan conveyed very professionally. He first patiently listened to my problem, keeping that in mind. He inspected all of the structural plumbing which turned out being in very good condition.
After all was said and done the costs were in. $1200 to repair the line. $1000 more to have a shut off valve put in the garage. And $1200 more to have the line from the meter to the house completely replaced. For a grand total of just under $4200 I can sleep at night knowing everything is new and done right.
I will again be updating this review when the work is completed.
Update: Cost $3400. Brannigan showed up on time. He was very thorough in explaining what he was going to do. We chose a line pull. CPI is one of a few companies that do this type of line replacement. The new line gets pulled through the old line. I chose to have a shut off valve placed for convenience. He actually found a valve already in place. He could have easily charged us for work that was already done and we wouldn't have known any different but that's not how this company operates honesty is policy and it shows. After completion you wouldn't even know that he was here.
CPI is on the high side in cost but for that cost you get timely, professional, uniformed, polite and clean vehicle representation. This company don't mess around when it comes to this required representation either. With text, e-mail, and phone call communication they keep you in the know of what's taking place, who's doing the work and what they enjoy doing in spare time.
Brannigan brought along an apprentice, Jose. Represented the company well quietly listening to instruction from the experienced professional.
I will not use any other than CPI. I believe that I have chosen the top of the line company and would strongly recommend them to all.
T D.Excellent customer service. Great installation of a kitchen sink and faucet we provided. Very happy with the final result. Gotta say we were shocked by the install price of $1726.99! So $431.75 per hour! Keep in mind we provided the sink and faucet.
I used CPI a few years ago. Always very professional, always available, always reliable and always did a good job. I've had them replace my toilets, fix leaks and once a year, do complete and thorough checks on all my plumbing. Are they more expensive than local smaller outfits? Yes. But they are 10 times the professionals and 10 times more reliable. For me, gone are the days of repeated calls to get service, waiting long periods of time to get squeezed in the locals' schedules and all this repeats itself if something goes wrong with their work. Take my word for it. You get what you pay for.
For a few years I tried to stick with the local guys for the good of the Oak Harbor community. The ridiculous challenges were not worth the aggravation. CPI works well at sending the same plumbers out to you on all your jobs if possible. Sean and Bud are excellent professionals and a pleasure to do business with. Thanks guys. You've made my life a lot easier.

You just can't beat CPI for your heating/plumbing needs. They are always professional yet personable from the first call to the completed job. Recently I've been working with Taylor on my stand alone gas fireplace. It needed a new part that was very difficult to find considering the manufacturer went out of business. But, with determined effort and a bit of luck, Taylor found it. This saved me a pretty penny so as not to have had to buy a whole new stove.
Taylor is my hero with this job. He is so very nice and comfortable to chat with. He gets the job done well and swiftly. He will be returning to replace
my furnace and add air conditioning. The continuity of technicians is refreshing, however, I have always had great guys come out when needed.
As far as complaints about the cost of jobs from CPI I'll say this. ""The cheap comes out expensive"". If you want professional and reliable customer service and a person who answers the phone with every call and always returns calls, you must pay for it. Thanks much CPI!!

If I could give a minus five star I would. DO NOT use this company. When you call for service you will be met with a very sweet voice who tells you the dispatch charge is $225.00. Ridiculous but when in need you accept it. Then when serviceman arrives it's $275.00 to diagnose then they want $300.00 for a hot water heater thermal coupler that can be purchased at Ace Hardware for $20.00. Total 876.00 with tax. When complained about price we were told if we didn't want him to install the part we would still be charged for the dispatch and diagnostic for $500.00. Could've purchased a new water tank for slightly more. They're not upfront as most people would assume the dispatch was the trip and diagnosis. DONT get fooled! This company is out to rob you!!
Sabrina V.My husband died about 5 months ago from stage 4 colon cancer. Before he died we talked about how I would have to hire a plumber to fix things on our house. He recommended CPI, as he spent 20 years in the industrial plumbing business. He said, they were good. I had the furnace, water heater, air scrubber system, and a laundry scrubber installed. I also asked that the shut off valve for the house be replaced. In addition I asked if there were any other issues under the house, I was told no, it was all good. That was over $9000. They said part of the duct work for the furnace was gone, so I paid an additional $670 to have the duct worked replaced. My father went out after they were done and said, you did not replace the shut off valve, the guy said, and sorry completely forgot about it, we will reschedule it for another day. I waited for 3 days for them to reschedule, nobody called, so I called them. At first they were nice, but then it became, this is extra work you didn't pay for, you did not ask for this to be done. After I complained to the manger, they agreed to replace it for ""free"". In the mean time I had a gentleman come look at my foundation to see if it was in good shape. It was, but he showed pictures of my duct worked for the furnace that had a huge hole in it, he also said there was a leaking pipe that would have been very hard to miss. He also stated that the there was no sewage, just water. I addressed these concerns to the manager again. They came and replaced the shut valve, repaired the duct work, that I thought I paid extra to have replaced and told me all my pipes are in desperate need of replacing and there is sewer all under my house. WTF. To say I feel taken advantage of, is an understatement. I was quoted $3000 by cpi to replace all the ductwork under my house. I contacted Barron plumbing and heating who are doing the job with upgraded ductwork and replacing my dryer vent system for $1100. I paid for an air scrubber system, it no longer works and they will not give me back my money for it. Taking advantage of widow is pretty low.
I had a water leak and after calling two plumbers who could not come out, called CPI. The dispatcher quoted me a price of $69.50 if they could make it here before 6, or $149.50 if it would be after 6. They got here at 3:49, capped the leak, and left at 4:28. The bill was $377.02. I had signed an authorization knowing what the cost was, but the job had to be done at once. When I got a copy of the bill, it was not itemized, so I couldn't tell what was for labor and what for parts. I requested an itemized bill by e-mail, which request was ignored. Several days later I got a followup call from them to find out what my level of satisfaction was. I said the work was successful, but I needed an itemized bill. I was told they didn't charge by the hour but by the job, and that they never itemized a bill. Since I saw the amount before I signed the authorization, I had no recourse except to write a review to inform others of their practice.
Casey S.We just moved into our house a week before and all of a sudden the toilets and shower were not flushing or draining. Dominic came out on Friday and was able to recreate what I told him was happening. He let my husband look over his shoulder and explained everything to him every step of the way. Are figuring out the problem he gave us a couple choices of fixes. We picked one and he got us scheduled for first thing Monday morning. Dominic and his apprentice Cody showed up on time (with a courtesy call a half hour before). Every time we came out to peek at the progress he let us know what was going on. It was expensive but worth it to know it was done right! We will definitely use them again and recommend him to others!
Had to have a new propane water heater installed. Gave CPI a call they would have had a technician come out that day but we were unable to be there so an appointment was set up for Monday. Dominic came out assessed the situation gave a price and explained everything. He was able to replace it and had hot water back on in a timely matter. I would highly recommend this company
2 stars for being prompt, courteous, and friendly over the phone and in person. But way over priced. They charged $272.89 to do a diagnostic of my Pressure Regulation Valve which was not working. Less than an hours work. I've had other plumbers for much less!
Deborah H.They responded quickly...came out same day. They wore shoe covers and put down a mat to protect wood floors while they repaired leak & replaced a faucet. They cleaned up area before leaving. I was very impressed with their professionalism & work. The only reason for a less than 5-star rating was the amount of money they charged!! Our house is a little remote with few options for us to ""shop around,"" so we paid for it!We've had similar work done in another house & paid half what CPI charged. But, their work was excellent.
