I have been using cox for over 30 years and have always been very happy with the work they did.Recently I called cox to come and look at the job I needed done which was to repipe upstairs bathroom because of low water pressure.Gill came in looked at the job and told me they would be in touch.After waiting 10 days and no word from cox I called and spoke to Ann and she told me that she would have someone get back to me which never happened I called a number of times and no one ever got back to me.I couldn't understand why no one got back to me so I asked a few friends who have used cox over the years and was told after Jimmy the owner of cox died the company went to hell.It seems cox was bought out by another company in far rockaway .I would recommend any one who is going to use cox to find another plumbing co because it seems they either have to much work or just don't care I wasted almost a month before I finally gave up and found an excellent plumber.Don't waste your time

I was told when I made the appointment the week before that I was the second call on the list for the following Monday. I waited at home from 8 am to 12 pm- which was my appointment window. When no one showed up by 12 pm, I called and the woman at Charles Cox plumbing told me that I would be next. At that point, I had shifted around my entire day and could not wait any longer. She was very unapologetic and admitted that the plumber had not started his day until 9 am. I don't know why they gave me a window of 8 am to 12 pm if the plumber doesn't even start his appointments until 9 am. Also, if your appointments are taking longer than usual, a customer waiting should be informed of this. I will never user this plumber again. They have no regard for their customers.

Cox plumbing is our ""go to"" plumber. They return calls and if you call them a real person answers and actually listens to you. The plumbers are great and do excellent work, are reasonably priced and don't leave a mess. They have done big and small jobs for us. You can't go wrong with Cox. I'm a valley stream homeowner.

They got back to us in a relativeLu short time and when the serviceman came by he showed that he understood what our problem was. He then got what he needed and fixed our plumbing problems in a very short amount of time and the cost was less than we thought it would be.
I asked for his card so when/if we need help again we will get the same person

This is the second time we had this company this year for different issues at home. Today, they had an availability and came early and fixed the leaks and backups in laundry room and kitchen. Ryan and another guy came and they are quick. Last time we had Gilbert fix the leak in our old shower/tub. I think their price is reasonable... Jim the owner was a nice guy on the phone too

Called for leak in kitchen sink and they showed up within 1/2 hour. They sent Ryan and he did great service and came well prepared. Had parts available and also was wearing protective mask while working inside.

We recently had a new gas boiler and hot water heater installed by Cox Plumbing. They did a great job. Showed up when they said they would and left everything clean. They are hardworking, trustworthy and reasonable. We are really happy that we went with them for this renovation. I would recommend them for any plumbing issues.

I called cox plumbing when I first moved into our home in Valley Stream. Water was backing up from the basement bathroom and the I think Charlie cox a big bald chubby did an estimate of $8000 and could be more to fix the problem. He mentioned new pipe, new basement concrete and re-routing drains. I told him that I could not afford it at the moment and he would not leave till I give him $80 for just literally looking at the pipes. I gave him the money to get it over with. I called Roto Rooter and whoalla! They quoted me $300 to clear the sewage drain and they even showed me whats going on with when they used the drain camera. I never had back up or any problems ever since. Anyways I was a new home owner during that time and he clearly took advantage of it. Just please have or use another plumber before considering using this company.

Complete steam boiler replacement. I called three local companies for estimates, Cox was the only one to not only call back promptly, but he (Jimmy the owner), inventoried and sized the radiators. Another company I called just proposed a like-for-like replacement of the boiler and didn't walk through the house. More on that later.

After I agreed to the written estimate, which layed out everything that was included, they were onsite in a few days.

The crew showed up on time, were quick and efficient, and unbelievably neat. Especially as they were removing a lot of cast iron and piping.
As they were working on the water and gas, they kept us informed of what would be off and for how long, which was not very long at all.

After the installation was complete (about 12 hours total over two days), their full explanation of what to do to monitor it was clear and very understandable. They even painted all the new plumbing so there was no ""raw"" piping.

Now for the boiler and why a like-for-like replacement was not a good approach. Steam boilers will never be more than 82% efficient which is about what the old one was. The difference in the new boiler, different manufacturer, is it runs for much shorter durations than the old one. The house still heats up as well, but with fewer firings of the boiler. I expect this to be a real savings in gas this winter.

All in, I'm very satisfied with the quality, speed, and professionalism of the work, and the hardware they installed. Highly recommend.

I am writing to let everyone know how wonderful COX PLUMBING is. Today 4/24 I had two service technician come to re-pipe my gas line because I was getting a new stove delivered. My appointment was at 8:00AM and that is the time they arrived. The two technicians that were assigned to do the task were FANTASTIC And extremely courteous with the entire task. When they walked into my house they made sure there was no dirt or anything on their shoes. They had to go into my crawl space and there is only 3 feet in height. They finished the task at hand and then came into the house to reconnect the hose and also re light the boiler and the hot water heater. They stayed a few minutes to verify everything was working. They truly are what makes Charles Cox Plumbing a plumbing company you can trust. The office personal that I saw was also truly a cheerful and friendly person. Don't hesitate in using them you will not sorry that you used them. They made me a true believer in their Plumbing company.
