In 2006, at the age of 16, I embarked on my trades career. I finished four years of construction education, concentrating on plumbing in the final two.

I competed in SkillsUSA in 2007 and 2008, representing plumbing. SkillsUSA is a contest for trades that highlights craftsmanship and community involvement. I won the state title in California in 2007, qualifying for the national competition, where I placed 10th. I came back in 2008 and achieved 1st place at the national level, surpassing all other states and winning gold for California in plumbing. The prize for winning nationally was a complete scholarship to WyoTech trade school, which I chose not to use, plus over $5,000 in plumbing tools. I put those tools to use right away, landing my first job as a plumbing apprentice at 18.

Following my apprenticeship, I gained experience with four plumbing organizations across California, from the beaches of San Luis Obispo to the cold high desert in Susanville, and I’ve called beautiful Chico home for the last eight years. The extensive knowledge and experiences I have gained over 17 years of plumbing throughout our state are invaluable.

I now use my skills, experiences, and expertise to serve our community, ensuring the best plumbing experience possible.
