I started my journey in the trades in 2006 at 16 years old. I underwent four years of construction coursework, dedicating the last two years to plumbing.

I took part in SkillsUSA as a plumbing competitor in 2007 and 2008. SkillsUSA is a contest for trades that highlights craftsmanship and community involvement. In 2007, I earned the title of best in California, which allowed me to compete nationally, where I finished 10th. I came back in 2008 and achieved 1st place at the national level, surpassing all other states and winning gold for California in plumbing. Winning first in the nation came with a full scholarship to WyoTech trade school, which I did not take advantage of, and more than $5,000 in plumbing tools. I wasted no time using those tools, securing my first plumbing apprentice position at 18.

Following my apprenticeship, I gained experience with four plumbing organizations across California, from the beaches of San Luis Obispo to the cold high desert in Susanville, and I’ve called beautiful Chico home for the last eight years. The extensive knowledge and experiences I have gained over 17 years of plumbing throughout our state are invaluable.

I now use my skills, experiences, and expertise to serve our community, ensuring the best plumbing experience possible.
