Very impressed by Cousins Mechanical. They were able to order and install a new AC unit for my house in 2 days. Thought it would take at least a week (in 90 degree heat) to get the job done. The price was much less than my expectation. They were professional and when they finished my backyard was in better condition than when they came. They waited around to be sure AC was working properly and even called the next day to be sure everything was good with the new unit. You can't go wrong with the Cousins!

If you need something simple like a thermostat installed, then these are your guys. If you have a serious A/C issue, then call a more established company. These guys don't fix any A/C problems. They will charge your system, but that doesn't fix any problems. The charge will run out in about a week or two and you will be back to having A/C problems, plus out of $300 - $500 or more depending on how much refrigerant they put into your unit to charge it. For something small time, like a thermostat you can call these guys, but for bigger issues go with the 'big boys' who know how to do more than just charge your unit. Like the old saying goes, it get what you pay for. I got taken twice with them charging my unit. The first time, after 2 weeks I was back to having A/C problems. This cost me $500. They came out again, charge it again and claimed they sealed the leak, but that only lasted for 3 days, another $300. In essence, $800 for nothing! Like I said, if you are having serious A/C problems, don't try to cut corners, go straight to the big boys who know what they are doing. I hope this review helps. I don't want anyone else getting taken because we work way too hard for our money to pay people who don't know what they are doing. I don't think Cousins are scammers, I just feel they lack the knowledge and experience to work and fix major A/C problems.

We got connected to Cousins Mechanical through our new homeowner insurance (Super - also highly recommended), and within 24 hours of our water heater breaking they were out on site to take a look at it. Once they realized we would need it replaced, they scheduled us for the appointment as soon as possible, even offering to come back the same day. We ended up scheduling them today, and they drove through a snow/ice storm to get here and install the new water heater. Most businesses closed today, and they made sure we would have hot water on such a cold day.

They had to move our washer dryer out of the way, and took great care with it. We worked with 3 technicians with the company, and all were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and, professional. I would highly recommend them, and will definitely give them a call in the future if we need any more work within our home.

They came, they saw, they did a great job.

I needed someone as I had taken over as caretaker for my Mom's house near Andrews AFB as caretaker and the old HVAC company had gone out of business. I knew nothing about the installed system and I needed someone to look it over. Heck, I didn't even know where the air filter was located.

I called the night before after 7pm and the two gentlemen were available the next morning at 11. They went over the system, took out a filter dated from 2016(!) and replaced it with a brand new one. Did a thorough lookthru and declared everything otherwise okay. Since they were there, I asked to install a new thermostat to replace the one that was about 30+ years old. They put in a thermostat I chose off of Home Depot. They went to get it, came back and installed it quickly and efficiently. And for very fair prices.

I was impressed and will definitely call again if there are any issues.

BTW: I was chatting with them and they can do plumbing and electrical work too! Awesome!

On Sunday, August 6 my AC decided to go out. Needless to say I was hot both literally and figuratively.

My daughter said she knew a HVAC guy. She called and in walks this young man that was young enough to be my son, sooo I was a little hesitant.

When they say don't judge a book by its cover, well this was that kind of situation. This young man was VERY professional in accessing the problem. He did half of the work that day and came right back the next day, right at the time he said he would be there. He worked in the rain and completed the work in a timely manner.

I applaud him for his impeccable work ethics and for being 100% on top of his game.

I highly recommend him/them.
