We have bad experience with this company for the recent service at San Jose CA (complain goes to fidelity home warranty as well).
We were assigned with this company through fidelity home warranty to investigate/repair leaking faucet, after the fist company (also through home warranty) fail to repair and leaving pipe open. County plumbing visited us on 9/30; they said they need to open the wall to fix faucet and need approval from home warranty. Then 2nd/3rd day I called home warranty that they received repair request and reject opening wall, but approve part/labor to replace valves. We called this company to check how much we have to pay by self, then leave message to them. For the next 7-10 days, we never received call from this company. The company is not interested to fix our problem at all. We have no water from 9/18 to 10/8.
On 10/9, we finally decided to call a local plumber, and local plumber came immediately and fixed the problem without opening the wall in about 3 hours.

Would like to give them a zero star if I could. We called our home owners warranty for an exterior water main line leak. They did not call back for 2 days and then came after another day - so we were without water during those days. The guy who came said it was not covered by the home owners warranty. They gave an estimate for a few thousand dollars the next day (without doing detailed investigation), saying they have to tear up the entire driveway.
We called another plumber come and do the work for a few hundred dollars, not needing to dig up the driveway.
In short they are not to be trusted. Stay away from them even if your home owners warranty refers them to you.

If I could give a negative 0 stars, I would. Both County Plumbing and First American Home Warranty Company whom they are a contractor for SUCK!!! Terrible customer service, terrible follow-through, lazy and don't want to fix the problems. All of the negative reviews written prior to mine all apply to my experience. No call-backs, excuses why they can't set an appointment when on the phone, appointments set too many days out..blah, blah, blah. A month into leaky toilet issues and still unresolved. I am finished with First American Home Warranty as well. Canceling my contract immediately. Don't waste your time or money calling County Plumbing!!!!!

all the reviews are very true -- when it all started we were hoping that these were disgruntled folks writing -- sadly, we too are amazed by how bad a single provider can be. First American home warranty really needs to get them off their list!!
Absolutely no concern for customer service - no one ever calls back, First American is quite good at making them call back etc though. Their plumbers are probably ok - but this company is terrible. Also, they are in Stockton about 2 hours away!

I think an equal amount of blame can be put on the home warranty. If, as a company, you don't want to work with home warranties because you feel they don't compensate you properly, then don't. Don't make your customers suffer for it.
Our warranty company assigned a job to County Plumbing. Over 24 hours later, no call. We called them and got a bit of attitude for it and were told to wait for their call the next day. Once they called and we explained the situation, she seemed a bit more sympathetic but said no appointments were available until the next day.
The second star is for them calling later in the evening asking if we were home and willing to let their plumber come late at night. We were appreciative of that since it meant we didn't have to be late for work the next day waiting for a plumber. He showed up on time, was polite, etc. However, we feel pretty ripped off that we paid $65 to have someone come and look at our issue only to tell us what we already know (needs to be replaced). He spent no more than 5 minutes at our house, nothing was fixed or replaced.
I'm pretty sure he was sent just to lay eyes on it and get the $65 trade call fee and that the company had no intention of ever doing the work.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company is AWFUL! My home warranty company referred this company to me. I am not sure why, as we live no where near Stockton.
After the warranty company put in the order, I called the company the following day, only for them to be rude, belittling and completely unprofessional. They claimed they hadn't received the claim yet and that ""it is not their policy to take calls"". They would call me when they received the order. I asked how long that usually takes, and she couldn't give me an answer. I explained how urgent of a matter this was, and they became belligerent and hung up on me. I never actually had them come to my house. I immediately called my warranty company and was referred to a different company. Stay away from this place!

First of all let me say, my home warranty company assigned this sorry company to me, how they even get picked to be on the home warranty list of providers is beyond me.
I'm told they will contact me within 48 hours, no call. I get the number and have my husband call them the 3rd day. They take down our info and say they will call to schedule an appointment. He tells them he is available every morning until 2pm and we have been operating with one toilet and would like to have it fixed by the weekend since we are planning on having a full house.
Fourth day, still no call. I call them I ask why has no one called us and why am I as the customer the one reaching out to them? She tells me, actually I called your husband yesterday. Noooo you didnt, I gave him your number so he could call you!!!! She puts me on hold, forever. I had to hang up. Then she calls me and says, someone can be there in ten minutes. I'm like, u mean, when my husband leaves for work? We told you guys he's there every morning until 2pm. She assures me someone will be there Friday.
Of course they don't show up Friday as promised, they show up Saturday. Collect their $65, stay a whole 5 minutes, tell me there is a foreign object stuck in my toilet and they can't get it out. My home warranty company later calls me and tells me it's not covered but that County plumbing can do it for around $300. Ummm, no thank you, I would neverrrr pay them to do anything for me.
My husband took the toilet apart himself , ran a snake through it and guess what?? NO FOREIGN OBJECT!! There wasn't a damn thing stuck in the toilet! The problem is in the ground...stupid asses. You call yourself plumbers?!?!

Very unprofessional and rude. I wonder why are they still in business even after so many negative reviews. Stay away if you can.
Our water heater started leaking and fidelity national home warranty got them to come. The person behaved extremely rudely. Did not speak with us and asked us to talk to home warranty for what he found. Basically he asked for replacement. They had me pay for $566 extra over the $1300 home warranty payment they got for changing a 50 gallon natural gas heater. On asking multiple times they did not explain the breakup of what they charged me. Did not even tell me the model or brand they would replace my heater with. Since I needed the water heater badly with parents visiting at the house I had no option but to pay them. In the hind sight I would have done a lot better and even faster if I had taken the cash out from home warranty and hired someone else directly.

So unprofessional. I only used them because of my home warranty. The bolts on my toilet were loose/broken, so I called my home warranty company. They assigned County Plumbing to the job. The woman that came out to my home removed the toilet, replaced the wax seal and the bolts. The next day there was water coming up from under my tile!!! And she left the bolts sticking up about three inches...really?!?! I called them to have them come out, but the girl who answered had no clue what she was doing. The technician hadn't even completed my paperwork. They said they would call me back. I had to call them back 5 days later because they never called. I tried to reach them 6 times and finally called my home warranty company. They got the jerk manager to call me back. He re-sent out the same idiot that came the first time. She said she didn't really know where the water was coming from but she would try to replace some seals and see what happened. The next day my bathroom floor was soaked!!!!! I called my home warranty company to let them know of the damage caused (now my tiles have lifted, my baseboards are water damaged and my sub floor is molded). Was instructed to deal with County Plumbing directly because they don't cover secondary damage done by their contractors. In the meantime, home warranty company dispatched a new contractor to come out and take a look. Home warranty company called while new contractor was in my home to CONFIRM that county plumbing caused the leak!!! Now they are trying to say that the toilet was leaking when they first came out and that's why they replaced the wax seal. Okay, I'm no plumber, but I do know that no matter what, the wax seal needs to be replaced any time a toilet is removed. Besides, any intelligent contractor is trained to verbalize and document any preexisting damage to protect themselves...obviously the leak wasn't there. The office manager Angela is a rude snob and doesn't know how to deal with customers. Home warranty company told me if they aren't cooperative with repairing the damage their idiot technician caused then I have to open a home owners claim and then my insurance will go after county plumbing. When I asked for their liability insurance certificate, the idiot office manager said she didn't have it. Really?!? You are the office manager, addressing damage claims, and you don't have the insurance certificate? I'm lucky that my warranty company is cooperative and is gong to provide me with it, but county plumbing is going to be very sorry they didn't just handle it directly with me. M m

Very unprofessional company. Doesn't return phone calls. If you have to use your money DON'T BOTHER!
