Sadly, my experience with this firm was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I was sold a floor model of a discontinued Rais Gabo Gas stove, admittedly at a nominal discount, but was mislead to believe that EU was still a distributor of Rais stoves and that they had experience with a propane installation. Adam had to call in the previous owner of the EU biz to get it operative last Oct., having bought and installed it in April, 2015. Since it's in a summer cottage, it was off until May, 2016, at which point the thermocouple overheated and warped, needing to be replaced under a 2 year warranty Adam gave me. Fine, but since May, I have not been able to get them out to install the thermocouple and honor the warranty and I have a series of emails for the past year+, that would embarrass any business owner who knows how to deal with customers reasonably. I'm done, called the mfg rep, learned EU was not even a Rais distributor, probably just wanted to dump the floor model, and hired another service group who knows the stove. 15 months later, it's working correctly. If you are doing anything other than the standard natural gas or wood stove install on stoves they sell frequently, do not use these guys unless you want an ulcer. Very very sad.

Adam and his team were great. When we started looking into a gas insert for our existing wood burning fireplace we realized we were looking at finding not only an insert, but a plumber, electrician and propane provided (we have oil heat). We felt a bit overwhelmed as we began getting quotes, and conflicting timelines from different providers. Then we found Energy Unlimited. We didn't actually go to the store, as we already had a good idea what we wanted, but they were great on the phone taking our information and making sure we got contacted to set up the quote. Adam and his crew were able to do everything - propane tank, plumbing, electric, insert and permitting. That was HUGE for us and led to a seamless and painless experience! Adam came to take a look and was really responsive to our wishes for maximum viewing area and the look we wanted it to have. He was able to suggest a unit that was exactly what we were looking for AND make it work in our existing space. He and his team were always responsive over email and drove up in a blizzard to make sure the inspections got done! We have been enjoying our new fireplace every day since! The quote was right on the money, the only added expense was the propane they filled up the tank with! I would recommend Adam and Energy Unlimited to anyone.

We couldn't be happier! Energy Unlimited was not the first fireplace store we shopped at, but it was definitely the most helpful. First of all, Buddy came to our house to do all our measuring so we didn't have to rely on our own measurements. Adam was great in helping us decide what to buy. No high pressure, just very professional and helpful. The fireplace we bought is gorgeous (fireplacextrordinaire 34DVL)), just like a real fire, even with embers. And it heats our room better than a real fire. And Buddy was amazing!!! He is a jack of all trades, can do the electrical, plumbing and installation. Best of all he is so adept at improvising and adapting that he didn't quit until the job was perfect. I would highly recommend this store!!!

I had a gas fireplace installed in my house by Energy Unlimited which they finished up about a week ago. First off, just want to say I LOVE the fireplace, the surround, the whole thing. It looks gorgeous!! Second, this project was not a simple installation for a variety of reasons, and in the end it worked out EXACTLY as I wanted it. Specifically, there was no existing fireplace to start but I wanted it to look as real as possible, which is not easy to do. Also, venting through an existing chimney is apparently really tough and many other companies refused to even try doing it due to the potential complications. Additionally, the unit I really wanted was very large for the room size and my floors are very uneven. So, there were, in fact, a lot of complications along the way. I also threw in some complications, myself. For example, when the hearth arrived, it was not honed granite as I expected so I had the company that delivered it (not Adams company) pick it up and get it honed which held up the process. Also, I asked Adam if I could have the electrician, Ken, put in the necessary outlets so that I could hang the tv over the fireplace. This was extra work that I had not discussed with Adam ahead of time but he very graciously added that to the list of things to do. He even offered to have his guys hang the tv up before the job was done! All the complications stressed me out as I was worried about how these would affect the price. But, happily, Adam kept to the original price he quoted me which I know was way under what he should have charged given the complications! In summary, my experience with Energy Unlimited has been excellent.
Every member of Adam's team were professional, friendly, and extremely helpful!! I especially want to thank:the carpenter, Eric for the beautiful mantel and the design; Ken for the extra work for the tv (and the lights he installed for me as a separate job), and Buddy for keeping the process going. Of course, also want to say a big thanks to Adam for making it all happen!!

I worked with Adam and his team recently for an install of our gas fireplace insert. We had an old wood burning fireplace that created more draft than warmth, and we knew we needed to get a more efficient gas insert. We did look at a few places, but discovered Energy Unlimited. What brought me into their door was a referral from another consultant that gave us a quote, and told us to check them out. However, once I was in the store, I knew I wanted to work with Energy Unlimited directly. One of the things I liked right off the bat was that they had financing. However, what sold me, was the pleasure of working with the owner Adam Boccalini. Adam truly is a person where the customer always comes first, and he goes above and beyond to ensure that you are happy, and never makes you feel like a pest. His team was very knowledgeable and worked efficiently. We had to have our thermostat relocated so that it wouldn't be in close proximity to the fireplace, and they did an excellent job with very minimal repair needed to the wall (in fact the only repair needed was to patch up the wall where the original thermostat was). The gas fireplace install went smoothly, and it is beautiful, and works flawlessly. I really can't say enough about Adam and his team.

Our experience with Energy Unlimited is similar to Giselle's, in that the sales person not only did not acknowledge our presence in the Wayland store when visited, but would not return our call for questions to purchase a fireplace insert. We contacted the owner, Adam Boccalini, and he promptly assured us that he would personally come out to take measurements and assist us. He came to our house and was very professional and upset that his staff would neglect customers.

We order our product and it took a few months to be delivered and installed. However, the owner was very professional and waived the installation fees for the delays caused by the product delivery. They installed it and when the fireplace insert did not fit to our liking, the owner order and installed a modified face to give us the look we wanted. He did not charge us for this added part. Our fireplace insert works nicely and we love it.

We highly recommend this company, and if you have issues or concerns, reach out to the owner, he is very nice and professional.

We got off to a rocky start when we recently purchased a Travis Industries Large Flush Wood Hybrid-Fyre insert from Energy Unlimited in Wayland.

After purchasing the insert, it took a couple of months to figure out when the unit would arrive and be installed. The Sales Reps in the store had trouble getting us updated information. It was very frustrating at first.

However, once we got in touch with the owner, Adam Boccalini, things got a whole lot better. Adam was fantastic; both responsive and communicative. It turned out that they had been swamped with orders this past winter and once we knew what was happening, we were fine to wait. Adam stayed in touch with us throughout the process and let us know where things were at.

On the install day, Adam showed up with his team and they worked diligently outside in the cold and many feet of snow that fell over the winter of '14. The team were all friendly and professional. They even came back a couple of times to fix up some of the details so that we were completely happy. At the same time, they answered all our questions about how to best operate the insert and how to keep it clean.

We are super thrilled with our new fireplace insert. It has saved us money on oil, and heats up the house much warmer than the oil heating ever did!

We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Adam and his team.

After reading all the bad reviews about Energy Unlimited (EU), I should have listened. I'm giving the store one star because I couldn't write this w/o a rating.

When hunting for a woodburning stove insert, I learned of one that was a special order. I went to EU to place the order. EU said it would not order the stove until its installer (JACK of CHIM-CHIMNEY) came over to make sure it was right for our needs. After many calls and several weeks of pestering EU, the installer finally came over. He said he was interested in working on the installation and would get us pricing.

To make a long story short, Jack NEVER got us pricing and NEVER returned any of our calls. I kept going to EU and complaining about Jack's lack of responsiveness, but to no avail.

Finally, in utter frustration, I hired my own installer and EU agreed to place the order. When I learned of the outrageous price EU was going to charge me, I contacted the manufacturer's distributor directly. The distributor was delightful to deal with, and we saved lots of money.

Stopped in to this fireplace store, hoping they can help me find the right fireplace for my home. Salerep was on the phone and finally acknowledged me after about 5 minutes of being in the store (very tiny store). Saw a fireplace that may work, he gave me some information on it. The moment of truth came when I asked for the price, he went into the office, did some numbers, etc... and came back with a price. This usually would have been appreciated, if not for the fact that there are signs with prices on them on top of each fireplace that they showcase. The quoted price was a few hundreds higher than the ""advertised"" price on their price display. When caught, the sale rep went with ""Oh, that price is for the floor model"". Although the sign clearly did NOT indicate the price as a sale or a floor model price. I couldn't get out of the store fast enough.
Why is shopping for a fireplace like shopping at a car dealership? Both suck big balls.

Over the years we have purchased a Lopi Answer stove and many accessories from these guys. They even recommended a great installation guy who we have used several times as we moved and took our stove with us. My in-laws just purchased a wood stove from Energy Unlimited, had some problems (user related) which were cleared up by a few informational visits to the store. Generally the staff are knowledgable and helpful.
