I assume that a plumber knows his technical stuff... kinda like a neurosurgeon... right? I just moved into my home in Shepherd and did a laundry and the basement flooded... I have a sump pump and for some reason, the thing that regulates it didn't work. Rhyme of the Ancient Farmer! Water, water everywhere! Here's where Cotter Plumbing saved the day. I think it was Caleb... He didn't show up in a gold lame superhero suit but he could have. It was a dark and stormy day in my basement and on SUNDAY he showed up and fixed it!! Yeah Cotter; Yeah Caleb!! Showing up is very important. Cotter shows up and gets it done! Hire them... and they return phone calls and meet my needs... and know what needs doing. Hire them! We had plugged sewer issues. These guys came out and got the blockage taken care but didn't let us know what was wrong....we had to call the office several days later for a follow up. They recommended using a camera to examine the line. The blockage happened again and we got them out there to take care of it again. They looked down the line with the camera and found the problem. We asked for immediate follow up to repair the problem and a bid. We never heard from them. The line blocked up again and we had sewage in the bath tub. Called again for a bid. The bid guys were out of town. No response. Called another vendor, they showed up that afternoon, made the repair the next morning. A week later Cotter sent over their bid for over $2,000, double the competitors price.

I called name brand first. They were not available until the next day. I then called Cotters. 2 hours later my guy arrived. My home is from the 40s so old sewer lines. 3 hours later this ambitious man had the line cleared. I ran 3 loads of laundry right away. All was well. Next day floor drain stopped draining. I called again. 1 hour later they came back and 20 minutes later good to go. No extra charge. The bill was significantly lower than what name brand had quoted and I was given a senior citizen's discount without asking. The cost was so reasonable I plan to have them back once a year to run the line for maintenance so I don't have this problem in the future.

I can't say enough good things about Cotter and the owner Tim. I had an emergency during their busy season. Tim and his stellar crew made me a priority. They finished the job quickly, cleaned up all my messes and are all good people. Much appreciated!!

I have to say that I was so impressed with Cotter's and their staff. I am a widow and am new to all of this. My septic filled up within a month of having it pumped out earlier in August. I called them upon the recommendation of a local plumber. Cindy, Jennifer and Brandon helped me out within an hour of taking my phone call. I cannot say enough about how well they did their job and the peace of mind they have given me, knowing that it has been done right. I HIGHLY recommend them!

What a great crew! Brandon and JD came out same day, fixed all the problems, then followed up the next day to empty the tank. They explained everything that needed to be done, showed us the problems on camera, and were neat and efficient during the job. I would highly recommend Cotter's for all septic issues and maintenance.

Cotter's Sewer Service was good and used to be owned by Ray Cotter. But he sold it a few years ago to new owners. I cannot recommend them as I have not had good service from them. I believe they are more interested in service to themselves rather than service to others.

Less than a year ago, I called them up after hours to clean up a clogged sewer line. They sent a young guy who wasn't properly trained. I don't think he knew what he was doing, made some mistakes and didn't clean out the line properly. When I complained the next day that I thought it needed to be cleaned out properly - they didn't want to send someone back to clean it out again as I requested. They said that if it clogged up in less than 3 months, that they would send someone back. Well, it got clogged up in 9 months and I feel that if they had cleaned it out properly, it would not have clogged up so soon.

My pipes backed up and left my basement bathroom a mess. I called them and an hour later they had someone at the house. He explained to me what happened and what needs to be done. I was so embarrassed with what the bathroom looked like but he didn't judge he just did his job. Great service, timely, and affordable.
