Horrible quality of work. They didn't make a transition from furnace to existing duct or they don't know how to measure transitions or fab one so they just scabed metal together and barely screwed it together didn't seal anything looks horrible and Didn't screw the back side so it leaks out the back side and they just tried to tape over it Most unprofessional work I've ever seen. I wouldn't recommend to anyone they can't make ductwork

Stack blew out in the rental apartment. Mr Cost was knowledgeable and quick on the phone, sent his plumber Joshua right away. Joshua did an excellent, timely job and cut out the rotten pipe, and went above and beyond helping the downstairs tenant clean up... Four stars for certain!

Update: We had a second company come out to look at our furnace and was told that the furnace had either been repaired in the past or was simply designed with a flaw in which the filter placement did not allow for proper ventilation. There was also a wiring issue with the furnace in addition to the issue with the the motor and filter. We were basically told with all of the issues we would need a completely new unit. We went back to the home warranty company but were told that Cost A F & Sons had only mentioned that the filter wasn't installed properly therefore voiding our warranty, since they are the only approved HVAC company in the area there is no further action we can take. Funny how all of the other issues weren't mentioned in the report since they weren't going to make any money if we were given credit to buy a new furnace. This scam of a company just got $100 from us and sent information off to prevent the warranty company from paying a dime. Seems like they have quite the deal with the home warranty company.

Frank Cost came to our rescue over the holiday when our a/c unit stopped working. We were having family visiting over the holiday and high temperatures and humidity were in the forecast. Frank sent technicians to our rescue on a Saturday and Sunday to make certain the a/c unit was working and bring a part for the a/c unit that otherwise would have taken several days to get. Great time with family and friends was a welcome treat.....really cool! Will select Frank Cost for any future a/c and heating needs. Thank you Frank!

I do not care what anyone else says, Frank and the rest are a great company. They have saved me thousands by being up front about issues I could fix on my own, and have done emergency repairs at no extra charge. This is a tough industry and it is easy to have a bad experience when you have multiple parties involved. The work I've received has always been on time and affordable.

I was given this company through my home warranty policy. We were having water backing up into our garage and laundry room when a large amount of water such as a shower or a load of laundry was done. I read the posted reviews of this company and panicked. I have had extremely horrible experiences with previous companies for other things through this home warranty and was very worried. I would have given them five stars but I called at 8:00 am to see where we were on the list so I could be prepared, have the dogs up, ect. She said we were the first call and he would be leaving out soon. Our appointment was between 9:00-12:00, he showed up at 11:55 am. He was here about 20 minutes, got the clog out and left. All's good now so I would say don't panic, they will get the job done .... Just in their own sweet time. I am adding an update I did not realize until after I wrote my review, I am disappointed he did not clean up the mess left behind from him clearing out the drain. I now have dried raw sewage mess on my garage floor that I have to scrape up and throw away. I am dropping them to three stars for this.

Called early morning. They were there within 2 hours and had my heat on. The tech was awesome and very patient while my kids were annoying him asking him a ton of question. He was very patient and informed me of everything he was doing. Will absolutely call them again for service

If I could rate zero stars I would. Our furnace is broken and only working intermittently. It is freezing cold outside with temperatures around 20 degrees at night. It is only going to get colder. We called our home warranty company and they had Cost AF & Sons company sent a technician to come and look at it. This ran us our 100 fee just to have them look. The technician stated there were some parts that needed replaced and they would put them on order and be calling us back to fix it within a week. We saw the tech write the report about the parts that needed to be ordered right in front of us. It has been over a week and my husband has been calling every other day. Their staff would indicate they would call back, but never would. We finally got a hold of someone, and asked when they would be returning with the parts and they said they have nothing written down on file regarding our furnace and we need to file a new claim with the warranty. They are acting like the whole first visit never happened. So now if we do as they say and file another claim we will be starting from scratch, out another 100, and weeks or more without heat in our home. Please do not use this company. If your insurance requests that you do, request someone different. It is too cold and your health, family and home is too important to deal with unprofessional people and a disorganized disinterested business. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

We filed a claim through HSA to get our ac fixed and were told they wouldn't even look at it unless the weather was over 66 degrees for two days in a row and try again in spring. We got a bill from HSA for $75 and were told that someone from AF Cost came out to service the AC but nobody was home. We never had an appointment, and when the HSA rep called these guys to get details about the supposed service call, AF Cost hung up on them. Thankfully HSA cancelled the bill, but if hanging up on folks is how AF Cost deals with complaints, you probably don't want to do business with them.

I needed to have two ball valves installed on my main. I had the water company shut off my water in the morning and told them I needed to have the work completed by 1.
Told they would be coming around 11:30. Called at 12:30 when no one came and I was told they had a window from 11:30-1. At 12:55 I had to cancel because I had to turn my water back on.
Real simple. Say when you are going to show up or I'll take my business elsewhere.
