My kitchen was flooded and I found out about it at midnight. I called several plumbers who offered emergency service. Some told me it would be about 2 hours to get to my home. I called Cornett Plumbing. Wayne Cornett came out in half an hour and took care of the problem. He was professional, and yes, did not smell bad!!

I would recommed Cornett Plumbing as I was very happy with their service

Honest and reliable! We just purchased our home a few months ago in Manhattan Beach. Our neighbor recommended this company for a leak in our back house. Gabriel found the leak in our sprinkler system. He also went above and beyond to answer all my questions and concerns with other plumbing issues. I will definitely use this company again! Wow great service! Technician showed up on time. Found the issue with our heater, explained what was wrong and needed to get parts. Came back and presto all is good now. Very happy and would recommend to others.

Wayne did a video scan of sewer line before we purchased our house - no major problem found. but he did suggest creating a clean-out.-$300
Right before we moved in, I had Wayne come out and snake out the sewer line.-$100
At the same time, we had them hook up a bathroom vanity. Another guy by the name Gabriel came to do it. He didn't seem too happy to take this job in the first place. Not on time, disappears in the middle of a job, decides to come back the next day without even telling us (hello, we have to take time off work to let you in!) not impressive. Oh, and he broke the wall of our master bedroom that was sharing the wall with the bathroom. -$400 something.
We moved in, in just a week bathroom began backing up. we called them again. They came out and snaked out again -$145.
Another week, it started backing up AGAIN. I already had enough getting sucked out by the wonderful Cornetts, so called another company to snake out again. AND that was the end of the story. IT NEVER BACKED UP AGAIN. -$60
I don't know what this company did differently from Cornett...

Cornett, I don't even want to give you a star but there is no option to give you no star. You can't even do a simple snake out...that's pathetic.

My husband complained and got the first $100 back, but we will never never call Cornett. Horrible experience.

i called them in a pinch for some plumbing work. they came earlier than scheduled and were courteous and fast. i'm giving 4 stars for instead of 5 because i'm not sure if the price i paid was the fairest price i could have gotten for the work we had done. we were in a pinch so i didn't really have time to get other estimates but the customer service we got was great. they left a clean job site and i would use them again.

Called them last month with a heating problem and they were there in an hour. I already knew the problem but could not buy part because I'm not licensed. Honest, didn't try and sell me a new furnace even though mine is over 50 years old. I will call these guys first for an estimate when I get new furnace and add air conditioning this Spring.

yeah they were okay. a little disappointed in the cost. $95 for a 5 minute stop.
Okay so here is what happened, we just moved into the new house and the furnace wouldn't come on. Talked to the old owner and followed directions no luck. Ends up I couldn't tell that the thermostat had a hidden panel that was hard to open, and impossible to see.
Doug opened it tuned it on, took the $95, and was gone in under 10 minutes. I wish I would have checked out the other guy who posted a $50 service charge on his yelp page.

I guess I will call them next time.

The service was great. We could have been totally ripped off but Dale was a person of integrity. I would recommend and use this company again.

My parents are senior citizens and I am always a bit nervous when service professionals come to their house for repairs when I'm not there. This is the second time I've called on Cornett, once for the wall heater and today for the water heater. Both times I got same day appointments. I was pleasantly surprised with today's call since last night was extremely windy and they were busy with other customers' wind-related issues.

From the time I called to the service person's arrival, Cornett was courteous, came in the time frame promised, called with an estimated time of arrival, and most importantly, honest in their assessment of the problem. In both cases, no repairs were needed only adjustments, safety checks, and truthful advice and suggestions for what repairs/replacements may be needed in the future.

I highly recommend Cornett!

p.s. Living in Orange County I am not familiar with Torrance businesses and services. Yelp has not only helped me find OC-business for my use but has proved essential for finding service professionals in the Torrance area. Thank you, Yelp, for providing such a useful site!

We just had our gas furnace in the attic fixed at noon today. They did a good job. I am sorry. I was too excited to ask the technician's name. He is a tall, good looking guy probably in his 40s. He is super efficient. It took only him a few minutes to check the problem (our heater can run for a few minutes and shut off by itself), then he said he thought it's the bad capacitor, went to his truck, got a compatible capacitor, put it back, done. Yesterday (Sunday Nov 6, 2011), we asked somebody from Cole Heating (website: losangeles-heating.com) to come. Cole is such a rip-you-off or rob-you company. Don't try them if you don't want to be fooled around and ripped off. Cole's technician told us circuit board, capacitor, thermostat all should be replaced with $1220+tax. so he suggest us to replace the current furnace with Lennox one at $3995 if pay by check. ( got to pay tax if pay by credit card). Even though I have no idea about heating furnace, but I think both numbers are just TOO high. My husband thought so too, but he believed that if we replace components and they should be the three parts that he told us. So we kind of decide to buy a new furnace from another company. I ask two companies to come over today to give me an estimate of a new furnace. Actually, Cornett technician called me before our appointment time (I like it because they are punctual and ahead of time) and when the technician show up. He told me 10 year furnace is not old at all. I am really suprised to know this NEW information. Because this is absolutely the opposite to what I was told by Cole technician who said 10 years are long for a furnace. even if we replace the three parts, who knows if other parts are gonna fail soon. It's kind of persuading us to buy a new one. And he sees I am pregnant and the weather is old..... It's hard to believe Cole technician took advantage of our immediate urgency but he obviously did. Back to my comment to Cornett. Cornett technician ONLY changed a capacitor and it works just like before!!! Cornett company is a trustable company. They told us the truth. I will highly recommened Cornett to my friends, neighbour and you!!!
