I got a phone call from Cornerstone Services yesterday about offering a ""free"" post winter inspection of all the plumbing in my house. Their argument was that as the weather warms up, now is time that you will find out if you have internal/external plumbing issues. That logic is a bit flawed because we have already had a number of above freezing days, and it does not take long for damaged pipes to present themselves.

But that was NOT the issue. The issue was that they were using an AI bot to make the call....and a very good one at that. If you refused the inspection, the bot became just a bit too pushy in its counter argument (and here I paraphrase): ""Do you mean to tell me that you are 100% confident you have no plumbing issues!!!!""

So then when you offer a valid reason it got condescending (again paraphrasing): ""Well dear, it looks like I just caught you at a bad time. Can I call back later?"" Honestly, it went so far as to infer that I was grumpy because maybe they woke me up from a nap. I was neither grumpy nor sleeping at the time of the call.

Now, what made me think it was an AI bot, is that repeated those catch phrases exactly the same way (both in tone and words) three separate times as I kept trying to politely get them to go away. I caught on after the second repeat but went one more round just to verify. I then hung up.

So you have to ask yourself what type of company is Cornerstone Services that would program their AI bot to be both pushy and condescending? I have no issue with the bot, but you really missed the mark in how you were using it because it speaks very poorly about what you think of your potential customers.

I paid cornerstone a $60.00 appointment fee for Larry the handyman to tell me that it would cost $1,500.00 to cut a square in an already existing door and install a dog door that I was to purchase and provide.
I'm uncertain as to where all of these good reviews came from. They tried to take advantage of me. Never again, I would not recommend them. I hired someone else who did the job for $100.00.

Went on their website last night to see if there was an appointment available for a simple plumbing fix. There were two slots for today September 27, one for 7 AM to 10 AM and another from 1 PM to 4 PM. I selected and confirmed the one for 1 PM to 4 PM. I asked my husband if he received any information from them because it was going to his email address and his phone number, he had not heard from them at all. I called cornerstone directly and was told that they didn't have anything for today and that they would have to charge us 300 bucks instead of the $59 that I had actually scheduled for. If you want somebody that's flaky, go to this company, otherwise go somewhere else. I have a life to live, and I planned around this appointment and they screwed us over. Additionally, my husband received no such call at 8 whatever a.m. this morning, nor did he receive a confirmation email. I went on their website again because I thought I was crazy when it said confirm, so I confirmed another one for Monday, September 30 for 7am to 10am, and we still haven't received an email from them, nothing in the junk, spam, nada. If an appt is made via your website, and it's not guaranteed, say that and don't mislead people. I went to attempt to schedule The 10 AM to 1 PM slot and what do you know, the 7 AM to 10 AM one that I just booked is gone. So clearly it was finalized and confirmed. I am glad we did not renew our membership. Get it together, people. Also, don't talk to your customers like they're morons. Not a good business practice.

UPDATE: They called to let us know there was a cancellation and we were in the cancellation list lol. They came, George was awesome. An hour and a half and $866 later, the snake job was complete. You read that right, eight indeed and sixty six dollars. Jesus f'in Christ.

I ? contacted this business in regards to a leak in my tub wall and clearly explained that the leak was in the wall around the grout and the tile . They scheduled an appointment and I changed my plans for the day and made sure I was available . When they arrived they sent a plumber instead of a handyman who clearly stated what do you want me to do about it . When I call them back they explained that I had said there was a leak . Well they will contact it through an online source and the online contact clearly stated what the problem was and had nothing to do with plumbing . I told them I had taken the day to make sure I was available and I wanted someone out here today . They stated they'll send somebody out on October 30th which is unacceptable . I do not recommend this company as they obviously don't listen and follow instructions and don't appear to be very organized

if i could give cornerstone zero stars i would. not because of poor quality work but because last saturday, i needed and electrician for emergency work. i called, and called, and called. guess what? no answer for a company that suppose to work 7/24 service. luckily i found a licensed electrician from methuen who showed up, did the work and was very reasonable. if you need cornerstone in a pinch, don't waste your time.

Best to get an estimate from other plumbers. I think I made the mistake of paying top dollar for a water heater replacement $3,200. On top of that, they now hound me with all kinds of upsells - like memberships, etc.

Scheduled 2 weeks in advance Took day out of work, planned a simple electric box installation. They called me the day before and asked to change my appt to 'now'. I could not accommodate and asked to keep my same appointment. I was told fine and 2 hrs later they called to cancel and reschedule. I had contractors coming in and working around this appointment. Horrible service, no explanation or understanding of the situation. Would not recommend or use this company for anything.

Less than a year ago, they put a water heater in my townhouse. my mother owns the property so she gave the go ahead on the replacement. Unfortunately she didn't check with me first. We were in Florida on vacation at the time. They charged my mother 3 times what it should've cost. I swore I'd never use them again. Then the water heater started leaking so I had to call them because they put it in. They told me it was not leaking. When they came, I had been having problems with the hot water in my shower not getting as hot as it used to. I mentioned it to the guy who came. He told me we needed to replace our pipes and quoted me $6000-10,000. I was shocked he would say that. I knew that's not what it was since I had researched it. It was the mixing valve. After he left, I had absolutely zero hot water. I called another plumbing who fixed it for under $500. The water heater that ""doesn't leak"" has water pouring out of the overflow pipe all the time. We obviously need to get that issue fixed since it's constantly pouring into our basement, even after we put a pan under the pipe. I do not want these people in my house ever again though so I will be looking for an honest plumber. It's sad to try to trick people into paying so much money for something not even needed. I am also disgusted about how they took advantage of my elderly mother!!!

I originally called this place to get a quote but ended up cancelling bc I chose to go with other companies to give me estimates bc they did not charge me a fee to get on site. A woman called me from Cornerstone and asked me why I cancelled and I told her I was going to work with other companies who did not charge a fee to give me a quote. She lied and said they have a promo going where they are not charging the fee. I made an appointment and they still charged me after telling me it would not be a cost. Bait and switch, and I do not plan on working with a company like that
