Recommended Customer Reviews
Our kitchen sink was backed up and our efforts to clear it ourselves failed. Cooper Heating & Cooling responded with a conveniently scheduled response time. David arrived, with associate Aaron, was professional, polite, and congenial. They addressed our issue and within an hour had returned our sink and our kitchen to normalcy. You don't realize how much you take for granted until they aren't usable. Thanks, David, Aaron, and Cooper Heating & Cooling for being able to help us when we needed you.

Took a week and a half to get the service manager to call me back. Customer reps only gave me lip service. Found out Service manager was on vacation. Hire a back up! Only bright spot was the technician. Bucky was great
Mario D.Joshua, Ricardo, Luis, Avery, Alejandro and the entire team were nothing short than amazing!
Responsive, precise, polite, attentive to details.
They fought the cold to install furnace and AC right after a snow storm. Incredible.
Absolutely A+.?

We called Cooper on Friday morning to say we had issues with our furnace. Per Cooper there is a $119 trip fee. A tech arrived a couple of hours later and stated that there are no free estimates (so what is the trip charge for?) and he would be charging us $328/hour just to diagnose the problem. A half hour later he was done and said the estimate would be emailed shortly. He said that several parts would be needed to be replaced and it would be expensive. He said he couldn't get the furnace to fire up and thus left us without heat. Jump forward to late afternoon and we had not received the estimate so we called the office to verify our email info was correct. The operator confirmed this. Well, this is mid December and now late on Friday and we had no working furnace as the tech had shut it off - in other words we now needed service ASAP. We ended up calling another company who fixed the problem a couple of hours later without adding a bunch of extras that Cooper said were necessary (note that we asked the other company about some of these items that Cooper had mentioned and that tech told us these were not needed).
I called Cooper today and spoke with a service manager who reluctantly agreed to a full refund after a bit of discussion.
In short, Cooper is a business to avoid. I initially called them due to so many positive reviews. Perhaps we just drew the unlucky short straw and our situation was an anomaly but I would never use these folks again. BTW it's now Monday afternoon and we still never received any estimate.
The Cooper technician, Alejandro, was pretty smooth but not very clear with his explanation of the furnace issue. In his half hour diagnostic time, he contended that the control board needed to be replaced and then he recommended that the pressure switch and inducer motor also should be replaced because a faulty control board could have crippled them. I didn't like the plan, especially when he said the labor charge would be $328/hr --- my doctor doesn't even make that much !!! But I couldn't have a house w/o heat in the winter.
Billing was $119 for the service call, $656 for 2 hrs labor, $180 for the control board, and $99 for a 'parts run'. The exorbitant labor charge and parts run charge were never divulged by the scheduler, and no up-front pricing was given. Final bill was $1054. Alejandro showed up at 10:15, left for parts from 11 to 12:15, and left at 1:15. Nice work if you can get it, right? Alejandro's estimate for the additional work (pressure switch, inducer motor, and 'tier three cleaning') was $1764 more if he did the work.
Bottom line -- the furnace is working, and I'll get the parts myself as needed and do future work myself. I won't use Cooper again or recommend them to anyone with furnace problems.
I was starting to have some small issues with my 24 year old furnaces so I decided before they failed have them replaced. I contacted Costco and Cooper Heating and Cooling called me. They sent out an agent. He was very thorough and gave me an estimate to replace my furnaces and AC units. I also got other bids but Cooper was better prepared and worked with me on the estimate. On November 17th, 2022 Cooper put in a new furnace and AC unit. They also replaced my thermostat with a smart unit. It showed that the CO2 was high. I called Cooper Saturday Morning November 19th, and a tech came out that afternoon. Everything was okay. On November 29th, they sent a quality control person to check the HVAC to make sure everything was done properly. They also sent a Lone Tree inspector and he gave the installation a passing grade. These guys know what they are doing. Everyone was professional and friendly with a can do attitude. The paper work was button down and there were no surprises. I highly recommend Cooper if you have, Heating or Cooling issues.
we used Cooper to install furnace and AC early 2019. In one of the properties, piping was not installed correctly and water accumulated in the pipe. This led to the complete shut down of the AC unit in summer 2022. I called another HVAC company to correct the problem. This HVAC corrected the problem but told me the root cause was the installation problem. I called Cooper Heating & Cooling about the installation problem, their technician came out and said there is not problem with the installation because it passed the county inspection. In addition, they charged me the service call, which I believed to be unfair as they were supposed to come out assessing and correcting their installation problem.
Got bids from Cooper Heating and cooling on installing a new valve in my boiler. They told me the valve would be $500 and installation was $1100.00. I looked up the valve from the manufactures plate on the boiler, and called it in. The value was $150.00, purchased through Amazon. Watched video on youtube and installed it in an hour. These people are price gougers and expect you to believe any BS they pour out. You can do better.
We were quite disappointed to discover that your technician missed a very simple fix to one of our furnaces. All it required was a $250 igniter to start up and it is now running normally. Accordingly we do not feel any of the fees for this visit are warranted. This is especially true given the express purpose of the visit was to get our system up and running before the cold snap.
Andy L.Cooper replaced our furnace and heat pump. The techs were polite and responsive to my questions. When the whole house humidifier didn't work, they came back and fixed it without a fuss. Cooper's customer service training must be top notch cause the guys were all great. I'm going to switch my service plan from a competitor to these guys, too, because of my positive experience.
