We love Cooley's. We've lived here for 25 years and is the only one we ever call. They know our home inside and out! We called for service late on Saturday, he said he would be here at 9 am on Monday, and he was! They are always on time. He fixed our ac problem today in less than 10 mins!

I have used Cooley's for years. Would never use anyone else. They have replaced my bathrooms plumbing, replaced the copper plumbing with PVC, installed my water heater, replaced my sub pump, installed barn water lines and pumps, replaced outdoor spickets, installed my dishwasher They know how to do everything right the first time. They come when you call, give economical lasting solutions. Honest and the nice to deal with.

Cooley Services provided the heating and cooling system for the house we had built by Westco in 2011. The owner and the person we worked with is Frank Foley. The company is listed on the internet with a website for L.J. Foley Plumbing and Heating, so we believe that L.J. Foley is the same company.
There were numerous problems with the heating and cooling system, which needed to be resolved. They installed the heat exhaust too close to the output for the dryer, which by security code had to be fixed. The system created undue noise, which had to be fixed.
This year, there was a problem with the condensation pan. It turns out that the maker of the furnace had had a recall on that part. Cooley/Foley did not tell us about this recall. The furnace went out on a cold Friday night. We called all the numbers for Cooley and Foley but no one called us back. We then called TLK, who came out within the hour and got the unit operating again. However, TLK told us we should work through the company that had installed the furnace (Colley/Foley) in order to take advantage of the warranty.
I talked with Frank Foley, who discussed at length that he had not been paid in full for his work on our house. He acknowledged that his contract was with Westco Construction, not with my husband and myself, and that he had provided our lawyer with a waiver stating that he had received all due monies from us. Westco also provided our lawyer with such a waiver. My position is that Cooley/Foley is still responsible for letting us know about warranties and for fixing problems.
Mr. Foley said he would send someone out to replace the pan on the unit. He said it would take two people a day each to fix the pan. In the meantime, TKC told us that that the furnace manufacturer had contracted with a company to replace these pans, and provided us with the contact information. The company contracted by the furnace manufacturer completed the work in a few minutes at no charge to us.
By the way, we also wrote a review for TKC--giving them an A.

Cooley Service Co is located in Marshall, VA, and is a division of L.J. Foley Plumbing & Heating which is based out of Warrenton, VA. I've used Cooley's a few times for emergency and non-emergency work. Their staff is very polite and professional and are just all-around nice guys. When my basement sump pump died and was flooding they were able to quickly send a crew to replace it. Once the repair was done I asked them about sump pump backup systems and they were able to give me some options, called the shop to get me some price estimates, and I went ahead and made arrangements to have that installed too. I don't have any planned future plumbing needs but if any arise I would definitely use Cooley's.
