Do not use this company!!! They tried to fix our air conditioner. They came out 3 times. They kept ordering parts and charging us. The final straw was another $1500! We called another company, they came out and fixed the wires that Cool Today mixed up. Problem solved by another company in less than an hour. Avoid Cool Today!!!

The installers sold me a contract for $20.+ on a monthly basis. I thought it was for monthly maintenance such as changing filters. I found out it is for a check up every six (6) months. The charge for each check up comes to over $120+. I can get them to come out once every 6 months for a $90 service fee.

I had Cool Today come out today for a clogged washer drain . I had a coupon for $93 or free. He was here less than 10 minutes he put a snake down the drain by hand didn't use it and told me he couldn't do it . He said he had to go on the roof and charge me $350. He never even tried to unclog with the snake down. They charged me $89 to show up and do nothing !what a scam company they are . Do not use this bad company they will scam you like they did me . Terrible terrible company . They do not even deserve 1 star !

Let's discuss unforgivably bad customer service. In August in SW Florida, air conditioning is a necessity. When the unit we'd purchased from CoolToday less than three years ago, still under warranty, died the evening of Saturday, August 26, we were happy they were sending a technician the next day. We'd paid for their maintenance plan, they'd been out recently to assess the unit, and assumed they'd get us up and running quickly--especially given that there was a hurricane brewing. Sunday, a tech came out and determined it was an issue with the compressor; he said he'd get the part ordered and schedule the installation. The next day came and went with no action or update, and then, due to Hurricane Idalia coming our way, CoolToday couldn't schedule us on Tuesday and Wednesday. We tried to be understanding--natural disasters are hard. We waited anxiously for word about a Thursday appointment. Come Thursday, the heat index was 111 degrees Fahrenheit and still, we had no update from CoolToday. After we called yet again, a customer service representative said she'd """"moved things around"""" to make sure someone got to us on Friday. In the meantime, a friend lent us a portable AC unit so that we could keep at least one room of our house tolerable, but the heat and humidity outside that room was absolutely stifling. Finally, Friday arrived, and this same technician came out that afternoon. After a couple of hours, he informed us that the compressor was NOT the issue, it was the TXV valve--and no, he did not have that part. (True, you can't check the TXV valve without a working compressor, but anyone who works with these machines should realize this is a possible issue and should be prepared.) At the point, we demanded a guaranteed time by when our unit would be fixed, or we'd need a new unit. We'd been without AC for nearly a week at this point. A massive AC company like CoolToday should take care of their customers, period, and leaving people without a working unit for a week that time of year isn't right. The tech said he'd informed his supervisor, who might come by (but he doubted it), and that I was welcome to call the office. He left. I called. It did not help. No supervisor came by, nor did I receive a call back on my request to escalate the situation. Saturday morning, we called CoolToday to see they'll arrive with this other new part and learn that they won't be out that day; in fact, they can't get the part they need until at least TUESDAY, September 5 (due to the Labor Day holiday) because their warehouse was closed. Of course, nobody there attempted to order it on Friday, when they realized it was needed. We began calling other companies, no longer caring about this worthless warranty. In the end, Authentic Air showed up within a couple of hours, called a store with the part our unit needed--and when I listened to the call he placed on speakerphone, I learned that, for a $150 fee, they would open the store to anybody who needed an emergency part. ANYBODY. By early afternoon, we had a functioning air conditioner. At some point the following week, we finally got a call from CoolToday; we were gone on vacation and didn't answer. Then, just last week (Sept. 28), I received a call from them to set up an appointment to install the part. They honestly thought we'd gone a MONTH without AC because they weren't able to provide service in a timely manner. The customer service agent said she'd let a supervisor know and they could follow up with me, but, no surprise--a week later, I haven't heard a thing. The real takeaway here is that sure, our experience with CoolToday--when we had services for which they could bill us promptly--was fine. They got things done, then billed accordingly. The moment we spent several thousand dollars with them on a new unit and needed emergency assistance under our warranty, though, it was clear we didn't matter to them one bit. NEVER before in my life have I experienced such unforgivably bad customer service, and I hope this review helps others avoid having that experience in the future.

We had our ac serviced on Wednesday. We were told by Samuel Arias that there was work that needed done but I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT I HAD TO TALK to my wife 1st as the bill was going to be$650. Samuel kept telling me that the ac could stop if we don't get the repairs done. He WOULD NOT STOP YELLING AT ME!! He then went outside and drained the gas out so the system would fail. I had a new company come out this morning and problem was fixed for 1/4 of the cost Cool today wanted!!! VERY UNHAPPY! Cancelled contract!! Samuel should be FIRED!!

We requested air conditioning service. There was an electrical issue and Cool Today sent Walter Rivas. He was able to access the problem quickly and was able to solve the electrical issue even quicker. His help and advice was outstanding. I would give him not 5 but 6++stars for honesty, quality of work, speed, knowledge and his friendly and pleasant demeanor. Allan Striker

Caesar came to install a $1k chandelier. He broke our light bulbs from mishandling while installing and claimed that their company will take care of it. Caesar even reached out to his manager and gave us a number to call. We called the manager immediately and he never picked up. The management never reached back out to us for the damages and the loss was never compensated. We have reciepts and photos of the damage. We do not recommend utilizing them! They will break your things and will not do anything about it!

The company was told to come prepared to clean the inside evaporator coils. Instead, he only cleaned out the drain line. Both air conditioner still drip water on the floor. The firm did not fix the problem. Yeah now they are still dining me for $600. I am still going to have to have another company come out and fix the problem they did not repair.
