We have a family long-term rental condo with some fairly serious leakage/mold damage in the bathroom area. During the demo process we needed a plumber to come out (on Good Friday) so the tenants could continue living there while the remediation work was being done. JJ Gomez (the owner) had someone on his team ready and available that very same day. If you want an AC/Plumbing service that answers the phone, is courteous and responds quickly, consider Mr Gomez and his team of professionals.

I was in the market for a new HVAC system. Mine was 16 years old and I was not sure it would last another summer, especially after the one we just had. It was also an energy hog. I'd routinely get summer electric bills that were well over $400. I started contacting companies to get bids and the first one I contacted was Stan's. Stan's was promoting a big end of year sale so I thought I would take advantage. They quoted a 2 stage, 5 ton Carrier unit and said I needed to replace my dampers, which were only 2 years old, and my zone board. They wanted upwards of $18k so I kept looking.
The next company I called was Grande Air. They have serviced my system multiple times over the years and installed my new dampers 2 years ago. They came over and said I could keep my dampers and zone board but quoted me a 2 stage, 5 ton Goodman unit for about the same prices as Stan's total price which included dampers and a zone board! They wanted $18k just for the unit itself!
Growing frustrated, I went onto one of our Facebook city pages to get an idea of what people paid for their new systems to get a realistic idea of what I should settle for. I got figures from people that varied in price drastically but I kept seeing a lot of recommendations for Cool Kids AC, heat & plumbing. I looked at their reviews and everyone seemed to be really happy. JJ, the owner, sent me a message offering to provide a free estimate so I had him over to my house the next day. He quoted me the same 2 stage Carrier unit that Stan's offered and said there was no need to replace 2 year old dampers. He did recommend replacing the zone board considering the one I had has spent 16 years up in an attic that gets to 110+ degrees in the summer on a regular basis, which makes a lot of sense. The quote he gave me was several thousand dollars cheaper than what I got from the other companies. The line item pricing he was charging me for the zone board really made me feel like the other companies were taking advantage of me. I really felt JJ was being upfront and honest with me so I said "let's do it!"
The installation took all day but the crew was very professional, easy going and efficient. I now have a new system that will hopefully last many, many years to come. I can't recommend Cool Kids enough. There was no BS and they were honest with me. That is exactly what I look for in a company.

Don't panic, don't fret and call Cool Kids because I know for a fact they'll come take care of you quickly and responsibly.

My AC stopped blowing cold air and I came across Cool Kids contact from someone else's community Facebook post and I'm so glad I reached out. JJ responded quickly and within the hour came by to take a look.

It's very obvious how experienced he is because he knew exactly what to do while I watched him investigate and didn't mind me peppering him with questions about how things work. It's almost as if he's been here before and knows my system inside out!

After the fix and some sealing to cover up additional air leaks he discovered, I can definitely feel the difference because I notice the temperature decreases much more quickly than before.

He's very honest and personable and pricing is definitely fair as I did my research online for the parts needed.
I decided to sign up for the twice a year maintenance package and now I'm relieved to have an HVAC expert keep my unit humming efficiently for years to come.

This review is way overdue. We had a problem with our AC not kicking on and I couldn't sleep all night. As soon as I got up in the morning, I sent a message to Cool Kids before they opened and they called me back within 2 minutes. They haven't opened yet. The tech sent me a text to let me know he was on his way and he was on time. It only took him 20 min to figure out the problem. The AC part he needed was in Austin so he drove all the way to obtain it. He texted me again to let me know he was on his way and within minutes after his arrival, our AC was fixed. WITHIN MINUTES. I totally recommend this business and will refer them to anyone who is having AC issues.

My AC stopped blowing out cold air so I reached out to Cool Kids AC to get a quote for stopping by. This was on a Saturday, I must say. My call was answered on the second ring and they confirmed an appointment later that day (9:30 PM)!

I'm so grateful I reached out to them and they seem so honest and genuinely caring for people. Not to mention they spent all but 30 minutes and fixed my AC!! Their prices are also the best I found. Would recommend them!!

We all know HVAC is a HUGE deal in Central Texas and we simply cannot live without it. So that's why when picking a service company to work on my house I do not mess around. Cool Kids AC & Heat was highly recommended and they were awesome! J Gomez and his crew were able to come to my rescue on short notice when, in the dead of summer, my AC started to go South. With two little kids, I was panicked but he was on-site, diagnosed the issue, got the parts and had my family comfortable before dinner time. All at a cost that I could afford.
