Cool Today 620 Union St #2 Dunedin, FL 34698 (727) 308-2409 11/12/2018 We had a free appraiser come Friday 10/05/2018 for a shower demo with plumbing repair. Ultimately we were looking for someone complete the entire project from demolition to putting in the hardy board and tiling. In essence redoing our shower from start to finish. The total estimate Adam provided was for far more than I would have liked considering he was only going to demo part of the shower (he said because the one wall was an exterior wall that didn't need demolition) he would put in furring strips for the tiler to put the hardy board up. This did not reduce the price at all. Adam being the fast talker he is we agreed. The team came on Monday 10/8 and was to complete the morning of 10/9 as Adam had said during the estimate. Because this took place on weekdays, my husband and I had to work. We had my brother stay to keep the dogs out of the way as well as keep us informed of the progress. Tuesday 10/9/2018. I contacted my brother to see how things were progressing. He told me the shower stall had at one time had termites but there were none active some damage to the studs was all. Due to the damage I was told by Adam, we would need to have the studs replaced. Of course we did (who wouldn't)? Adam said they needed $1100.00 more dollars to replace the studs affected for a total of 6 or 7 2x4s. I was very upset with this. I told him we could replace the studs for less than $100.00. Adam said he would pull the team if we didn't pay, that we could get another contractor to install the studs. He said we would need to get a new permit and that would delay the progress. I told him to continue but I was not happy with the price gouging. He had us there wasn't anything we could do. After I explained this to my husband he too called Adam to tell him this was far too much for the additional work. Adam told him he would just take his workers and leave. We couldn't have that happen as we had paid for the original job then we would have been out that as well. Adam had also said he had to pay the team overtime because they would have to stay late and come back the next day. As above he planned a day and a half. The work the team left behind was subpar to say the least. My brother said the team goofed off much of the time, that even with the new studs they could have been done in one day for the little amount of work they did. Because of that the tiler is costing us much more than need be. We are normally do it your selfers', but this had been a bad year for our health so we were in need of this service. I was having lumbar spine surgery 10/22 and my husband had just had open heart surgery about a year ago. All together we spent over $3800.00 for a shower demo and plumbing to feed the shower. If you were to consider a 12 hour job (remember it could have been done in less than 8) This is an extreme amount to demo one wall, run new pipe through the ceiling about 3 feet and replace 7 studs. Very Disgruntled, Pam & Steve

I have been out of the country for 3 weeks, and prior to leaving, still never received an e-mail from Customer Service, as they had promised. Upon my return, they did leave a voicemail on my cell phone indicating that they were going to refund the labor portion of my service call. Okay, I'll accept that! -- I only wanted the refund because their technician (in my opinion) did not choose the best diagnosis and fix for my situation. Another AC company came out and got me running at NO CHARGE! A month later, all appears well. Thank you Cool Today, for the refund. I still believe this is probably a competent and efficient AC company, but in my case, they didn't get it right, and another company was needed to get my AC running again.

Yeah! A live, friendly and articulate person answered the phone and answered all my questions and set an appointment for my Tankless Water Heater Maintenance for 48 hours later. Then a professional and friendly young man named Jon showed up right on time and did a fast, efficient, and excellent job descaling/cleaning the system. Plus, Jon was the ideal professional. He covered his shoes and was so polite. He was pleasant to talk with, not too much and not too little - just right. He shared relevant and helpful information about water and plumbing that will be necessary for future reference. He was no pressure, while being interesting and engaging. As a result, I'll be calling on Plumbing Today (part of Cool Today company) in the future for any/all plumbing related questions and will look forward to trusting Jon with the work. Thank you!

Pete came to our home upon our request as we were interested in duct cleaning. Pete went into our attic and took photos of what he saw and also looked at all our vents (intake and outflow). We had a service contract with another company prior to Pete's visit. Let me just say, that after what Pete found and showed me photos of, that company is no longer our service maintenance contractor. The issues found were too many and overwhelming for here. During the discussion between Pete and me, I made the decision to have Cool Today perform replacement of many ducts as well as well needed maintenance on other cooling issues. When it came time for the maintenance (July 10, 2018), the three technicians (Jake, Wayne and John) arrived. These young men were very cordial and polite. In addition, Pete arrived to make sure things were getting off on the right foot. I must say, this is the first time I've ever had a representative who sold me any service to come to my home again. Usually, I never see them again. Jake, Wayne and John each were dressed very well in their Cool Today gear and very clean. For this type work I was surprise, pleasantly. They introduced themselves and Jared and Pete reviewed what they were going to do. Jake, Wayne and John worked for 10+ hours in the heat and humidity and finished the job excellently. I told them when they were finishing up to not worry about cleaning up and debris left behind, that they had worked hard enough and I could clean up. Within a few minutes, Wayne came into the house with his vacuum. He told me, """"We made the mess, so we clean it up!"""" It has been a long time since I've seen young men work this diligently and hard. These young men had nothing but positive remarks about the company and their jobs. I recommend if you have any heating and air conditioning issues that you call Cool Today.

Horrible service. Had a AC unit installed 5 years ago. It's been leaking since day one. Every time they come out they charge a service fee, but they never fix the problem. I've spent close to $700 in service charges alone. Add that to the money I've spent on """"repairs"""" and it's well over $1000. I would not recommend this company at all. I'd give zero stars if I could.

My family has used Cool Energy's services twice this year. Once for a toilet that wouldn't flush, and the second time to replace 3 faucets. 1) The technician arrived around 3:45, at the tail-end of the window we were given. Nothing unusual about that. The technician evaluated the toilet and also asked to see the additional upstairs toilet and our water softener. He said the toilets (plural, as in including the one that was not clogged) were designed poorly and would always be weak, and that our water softener was broken. What was meant to be a quick unclogging job turned into a 2-toilet-replacement and the installation of a new water softener over 2 days, both days the technician arrived late afternoon and stayed well past 8 PM. The new toilets were installed without being shown to us for approval (luckily they match). I believe we were fleeced on the water softener and that it was upcharged quite a bit. 2) We figured we just had a real sales-y technician and called Cool Energy again some months later, this time to replace 3 faucets and evaluate a leak in our kitchen disposal and to see why our brand-new water softener was completely empty. Cool Energy would not give us a time frame for the technician's arrival, despite us repeatedly saying it was a big job. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. The technician arrived at 5PM. The mystery of the water softener was solved. He cut one of the old faucets apart before realizing the new faucets would not fit, leaving us without a functioning sink. He fiddled with the disposal and make the leak exponentially worse, then said the sink was too deep to have a disposal unit even though we've had this disposal for over a decade with no problems. He tried to tell us our water heater had problems too. We sent him away a little after 8:30 PM, this time with a stronger disposal leak and one less functioning faucet. We will be using another service to repair the damage and install new faucets. The technicians are clearly told to sell, sell, sell; and not giving the customer a time frame for the technician's arrival is INSANE. We even clarified with our technician that yes, this is their common and standard practice. Will not be using their services again. Stay far away.

Our A/C went out on a Sunday afternoon and we were so happy to reach someone who could help us get service. We were offered a Sunday evening appointment but because it wasn't an """"emergency"""" situation we said we would be happy to wait until Monday. An appointment was scheduled and we were told that we would be contacted in the morning to let us know the general time our technician would arrive. I had not heard anything by 11 am, so I called to confirm that we were on the schedule. The customer service person said she could not give me any information about our appointment time but assured me that we could expect a notification call 45 minutes prior to the technicians' arrival. By 4 pm, I was still waiting. I made my second call to your customer service department. At that time, I was informed that since we had been given an evening appointment we should expect our technician to arrive some time after 6pm. I was held hostage my entire day off. Our technician arrived shortly after 6 pm. He was the sole reason that we will continue to do business with your company. Your customer service is pathetic. This is not the first time we have felt this way....it is your very knowledgeable, polite and professional technicians that keep us loyal to your company. I am rating your company 3-stars because your customer service is so terrible. If the rating was based only upon the actual repair service, you'd receive 5-stars. Thank you, Pedro M. Cool Today is lucky to have you!

My tenants are having a plumbing issue (leak and backup) so I call on a Saturday to make an appointment for Sunday. Plumbing Today asks what time of day and I say later in the day would be best. They say they can come between 4-6 pm. Sunday morning (while asleep) I get two messages from the technician: one saying he's on his way and another that no one is home. My tenants did not come to the door because it was 8am and they were sleeping. I call the technician back explaining that our apt was for the late afternoon (who schedules a plumber at 8am on Mother's Day?!) and he recommends I call the office. The office was surprised to hear that I had been given a time frame and says they usually don't give one (WHAT? Is anyone ok with waiting around for 11 hours never knowing when the plumber will show up??) but assures me someone will come by between 4-6pm since they already promised it. My husband leaves a family event early to make sure the plumber can get access/get paid and I tell my tenants to be expecting someone. No one ever comes. If i could give negative stars I would. Incompetent f***ing company.

I have been a customer on the Cool side for about a dozen years. However, I got an estimate for a leaky faucet that was absurd and they told me I needed a new faucet and tried to scam me. There is no other word for it. Their justification of we have a higher quality product rang hollow. On top of the scam price, they said they would give me 10% off if I purchased their service package, as if the first price wasn't bad enough. When I called another local plumber, the part PT had claimed needed to be replaced DID NOT need replacing and they replaced a worn out part. I ended up paying a fraction of the price they were trying to take me for. I will be pulling my AC contract from them as well because I can no longer trust anything they say. They've been trying to sell me a new AC unit since mine was 8 years old. They are more interested in high-priced sales than honest service.

$477 to replace a P trap and a sink stopper. $25 in parts and a half hour of labor. Outrageous! Unconscionable! Took advantage of a senior citizen.
