Recommended Customer Reviews

Initially, they are pretty good. Could work on customer engagement/return of calls in a timely manner. However honestly its all for show. I have dealt with Cool Care Heating and Air for about 2 years for my heating and cooling needs, however never have I had as many CONSTANT issues as I have now after dealing with them. Today, again on a fairly new unit still under warranty, my ac does not work.....again.....and Im supposed to pay another diagnostic fee? For something they should have fixed about 5 months ago? I get things could go wrong, but my unit never had as many issues as it does now, after they started working on it. Try someone else. They don't value you as a customer, not unless they're consistently taking money from you or you sign up for one of their AC/Heating yearly plans. You're better off paying a few dollars more for someone else who actually knows the value of great customer service. ~Former Cool Care Heating and Air client

Great marketing to create brand recognition but unfortunately terrible customer service.

I bought a new HVAC system from Cool Care a couple of years ago. I have been impressed with the service and follow up provided by the company. They are a small family owned business and they are very community oriented. The service men/women are very polite and on time. Stephen was the last technician that came out for my yearly maintenance. He found an issue and worked for hours in the heat until it was corrected. Very very happy with the company and the service.

The receptionist was so rude. She got hung up on info that didn't pertain to me making an appointment. Could not get her back on track and after I said """"I should have never said anything"""" she got mad and said """"ok, good bye."""" She then hung up. All I needed was to see when I could get an appointment to look at my AC. I may not have even hired them if they were backed up. Luckily there are so many other companies and no one has to stand for a rude receptionist paid by the hour and not caring about the business she works for. She'll get her check in the end.

Had a tech come out on a Saturday to fix an issue with my unit freezing when the thermostat downstairs is turned on. I explained to the tech what was going on, while he was there he said the issue was having to recharge the refrigerant. He went in rechecked every thing with both thermostats on (so he said) and recharging was to resolve the issue. Okay paid 294.00 on Saturday. Low and behold on Monday the unit was stil doing the same thing. Called them back on Monday, was to receive a call back , no luck. Was waiting on a callback for 3 days ( keep in mind I was calling them as well). Tech came back out stating the issue is with the zone damper. The first tech sent an invoice stating he check the zone dampers and they worked fine. Got another invoice for 344.00. The invoice showed 100.00 to be paid, if I wanted them to do the repair it would go towards the 344. Keep in mind they charge you to come out to diagnose the issue and this was the second tech that came out and I've already paid 294 for what he said the issue was originally. Had my husband call, waited on a callback for about 2 or 3 days to be told there was two issues that was causing the unit to freeze. No it wasn't 2 issues. If it was I would've been informed of that before I paid. I had you come out to fix the issue with the unit freezing and I'm still having the same problem. You're tech guy misdiagnosed the issue causing me to pay for something that wasn't the issue. First impressions are lasting and that was my first and last time dealing with Cool Care!!!!

Tia from Cool Care came out and fixed our ac when it broke in this savage Columbia heat. She was super nice and our air conditioner is nice and """"Cool"""" again THANK YOU!!!

This is a great family owned local business. We have referred them several times to our customers. They have also used our company, Carolina Carpet Cleaning for some jobs.

I think this is the worst company they have no value for customer service. I purchased a house the sellers were to fix some heating and air issues and I recieved a letter stating that they had indeed fixed them. Come move in day we try to turn the air on it doesn't work. After practically begging the company to send someone out they determined what the problem was. Since I had not paid for the repairs myself their was some back and forth between parties, come to find out cool care didn't even come and do the repairs, and sent a clean bill of inspection without doing repairs. I have also dealt with coolcare on another occasion where they had to come out 5 times at near 1500 dollars in """"fixes"""" all to find out I had to buy a brand new unit that took ages to come in. Once said unit was in my house was cooler but not cool I was told """"it's a 100 degrees outside of course it isn't going to be cold in your home."""" I found that unacceptable and had another check up on my unit turns out they didn't connect my duct work to my unit, so for almost a month I was cooling the underneath of my home. No apologies were given either. Although they win many business I feel if the individual customers were to rate them honestly they fall very short in caring for the clients. I feel as tho they are looking to sell products more than fixing what is fixable. They are the Walmart of heating and air. Tons of people just milling around and not a one to actually help. I will not do business with them ever again

Really great customer service! We used them for both the HVAC inspection prior to buying our house, and then also for a minor fix after we closed. They were very prompt and I appreciated the technician's knowledge and candor. Highly recommend them, they've gained a customer for a long time!

Recently a Cool Care tech came to my home to check a cooling issue. He said that the system needed Freon and he charged it and then charged me $212. A few weeks later, the system had the same problem...no cooling! I called Cool Care and spoke with Jeff and he agreed to send his service manager out there free of charge. I asked about the schedule and Jeff said the service manager would only be available a certain times. I had to take time off of work to meet the service manager at my home and he arrived 10-minutes late. He said he would check the inside unit and the one in the attic. However, he checked the outside unit and and said it had plenty of Freon. He concluded that I needed a new electrical board, which would run $675. He also insisted on charging me $100 for the visit. By the way, he never checked the unit in the attic. I cited that it was agreed this service call was complimentary and he got extremely rude with me. Ultimately, he had to let it go, because apparently his office confirmed what I was saying. Bottom line, COOL CARE, is in the business of ripping off their customers...how do I know??? My unit is only 3 years old, and before bringing Cool Care back, I had a friend check the Unit....guess what, it was out of Freon. He also told me that I was grossly overcharged for the first service too....NEVER USE COOL CARE...THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND BE RUDE ABOUT IT!
