Was very happy with James from Cool Breeze. He took the time to explain what was wrong with our A/C and fixed it, showing me exactly what he was doing to repair it. It's been over a week & it's working perfectly!

JAMES IS AMAZING! We've been living in a house that's been consistently over 85 degrees for a few days now. I have a 3 month old baby and everyone has been pretty miserable. He understood how important it was for the baby to not be in this kind of environment and really seemed to care about getting it fixed. He came out Saturday morning to check things out and then gave us instructions for what to do the rest of the day to get things to a point where he could figure out the problem. He came back first thing Sunday morning and got us all fixed up. He was incredibly polite, friendly, and professional. He even put a smoke detector that was high on a vaulted ceiling back in for us!

We have American Home Shield (AHS) as a home warranty company, but this review will focus on cool breeze comfort solutions. The AHS side was a little bit of a nightmare, but you need to understand that the home warranty company and the local businesses they contract with are not the same people. I feel that customers get frustrated and displace their grievances from the home warranty company onto the local contractors. Also, if you have a home warranty, the process is going to be much slower and difficult for all parties involved because you've added a third party to the negotiations.
I'm going to make this looong story short. While dealing with AHS was a little bit of a challenge, everyone at Cool Breeze was amazing. Our first technician Jay realized our compressor wasn't working, but he also climbed into our attic to ensure there wasn't a leak and even changed out our air filter. The main contact at Cool Breeze's office was Jennifer. She seems like a no-nonsense, get things done type of person and she is awesome! She was professional, accommodating, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Our last technician, Justin, who installed our new AC unit (the compressors ordered via AHS failed 3 times, twice was the wrong part, the third time was a defective compressor), is an extremely hard worker! He installed our AC yesterday and ran into some technical difficulties, but you can tell that Justin takes pride in his work and likes to make sure that everything is perfect! Justin stayed LONG after the sun went down. I went out there with a flashlight to help him see and he described everything he was doing and his thought process. I like learning from people who have knowledge and skills that I do not, and Justin was great at teaching me a lot of the basics while still staying focused at completing his work. So far, our AC is working perfectly and I wanted to thank everyone at Cool Breeze Comfort Solutions for all their hard work throughout the past month!
Also, in case anyone is wondering about my opinion on home warranties, I believe that it makes the process a lot more difficult. However, my wife is the only one currently working and I am once again a full-time student. There is no way we could have afforded all the work that cool breeze has done for us, but because we have this home warranty, we were able to get MOST of the cost covered. Yes, it is a headache sometimes, but just considering the dollars and cents I am glad that we had a home warranty.

What a terrible experience! Unprofessional and unorganized! My 78 year old mother had this company install an entire new HVAC system several years ago for $15,000+. They have changed ownership a few times I believe. She registered the system which extended the warranty through the manufacturer. When she has used them for regular maintenance over the years they were never good but mediocre. This past week has been a nightmare for her dealing with them. They would not honor the warranty that the manufacturer said was valid. She contacted the manufacturer who apologized for the poor service that she had received and they said it was not the first time they heard that about cool breeze. They referred her to another company And I will update this review with their name after we see how they handle things. So far, they have been nothing but respectful and professional when dealing with my mother. The owner Alan, of Cool Breeze called my mother back after realizing his company's mistake and offered to perform the service to the tune of $1700 for labor since he reluctantly admitted that the parts actually were covered under the warranty. I would discourage anyone from using this company.

Cool Breeze replaced my HVAC unit a few years ago and did a perfect and professional job. Additionally they have been doing the twice a year inspection of the unit since then, which has also been done in a very professional manner. I am an Attorney in Tucson and always appreciate excellent service, which I have received from Cool Breeze.

Living in Tucson, it is necessary to have air-conditioning. It started July 7th. I called American Home shield because my air conditioning was not working, only 1/2 the house was being cooled. Cool Breeze was assigned to come to fix my problem. It took four days for them to come out. When the technician came out, he diagnosed the dual cap needed to be replaced, and they replaced it,per their invoice. Four days later, the unit did not work again. Second call to American home Shield. They sent out Cool Breeze again. Now,I am told, the compressor needed to be replaced in the same unit. This had to be authorized by American home shield. I was told this will take 5 - 10 days. Average temperature in Tucson is 105. My thermostats registered 88 even though I had it set at 74, because only one unit was working and trying to cool the whole house. Cool Breeze finally came and replaced the compressor in the unit. That night , the unit made an awful noise. I had the thermostat set at 78, the house registered at 84. I called Cool Breeze direct. They sent out the same technician. He stood next to the unit and said"" whats the problem"". When I said the unit is making noise, he kicked it to see if that would help. Then told me he will need to call American Home shield again. I called again Cool Breeze and American Home Shield and asked for a different technician. When the new one came out, he said there was not any antifreeze in the unit. He filled the unit up, checked the second unit and told me the compressor in the second unit was bad and needed to be replaced. Again, it will take 5 - 10 days. The temperature in my house is still 88 because again, only one unit is working. Cool Breeze came out and replaced the compressor. Now two days later, I have the thermometer set at 78. The temperature in the house is 82. Also, because only one unit has been working at a time, it is running constantly and causing my electric consumption to increase significantly. Cool Breeze has the worst customer service around and their most experienced technicians are incompetent. I will not allow them to come to my home again and I would honestly say, I will never recommend their services. I am surprised BBB did not shut them down. After reading the other reviews, I see I am not the only one that has had a very bad experience with them.

Cool breeze is a great locally owned company! From the first day of using them (3 years) I have had prompt, professional and cost effective experiences. They call me to schedule the 2 seasonal check up visits. Upon the window of time, they give you a call to inform you the technician is on their way. Once the technician arrives to when he leaves it's an easy, clean and thorough job. I had a problem with the master bedroom never cooling down (it's on the second floor), I spoke to the owner explaining that I'm looking to sell my house so we can get a solid nights sleep in the summer of hell's heat. He sent 3 technicians out to my home asap to add another vent in that room. They found that something had been placed inside the vent to lesson the amount of cool air flow to the room. All fixed and no charge since they really didn't need to do anything but remove an object (i.e. no charge for the service call). I have and will continue to recommend this company to friends, family and clients. Once again it's great to use a locally owned company!

Bad installation of a new unit required four visits to figure out and correct. Poor service, poor attitude, poor everything! Save yourself some hassles and pick a different company.

Our air conditioner quit cooling. We got hold of American Home Shield via email and paid our $75.00 deductible online per their instructions. They assigned Coolbreeze in Tucson for the repair. The tech came out the next day to check it out. We had one night without A/C in 105 degree heat! The tech said it was low on freon and added 2 lbs. We paid $65.00 per lb as American Home Shield only cover $10.00 per ib for the freon. The next day it quit cooling again. We called Coolbreeze direct and told them they hadn't fixed the problem. They said they would schedule a tech out the next day at between 1-4 pm. Another night without A/C! He got here about 5:00! He added more freon as it was low again. After adding freon, he found that the shrader valve, where you add the freon, was leaking. He didn't have a new valve nor any tools to install it. He said he would have to have American Home Shield approve the replacement. No word from anyone so we called American Home Shield and they said it would be Monday before they could approve the request! Another 3 nights in this heat and no one cares! Now it's Monday and still no call from anyone. I called Cool Breeze to see if they were coming out. Megan said you aren't on our schedule! I said has American Home Shield approved the repair. She said I don't have anything. I asked her if she could call them. She said I don't have time to sit on the phone for two hours with AHS! So I called AHS. They said the repair had been approved last Friday. She then put me in hold and called Cool Breeze. I don't know what was said but Cool Breeze said they didn't want to complete the service call. So AHS reassigned the case to another company. They will be out today. I told Cool Breeze Their Service was unprofessional and I was going to file a complaint with BBB. Megan said go ahead and hung up! Follow up: Ambient Heating Systems came out and fixed the problem created by CoolBreeze! Since the Cool Breeze Tech had opened the Shrader valve without the proper tool, Ambient Air had to totally refill the freon. This cost me $450.00 for 6 lbs.

They cancelled their appointment twice - once an hour into three hour window and the second time the evening before. A month later and I still haven't gotten service.
