I first came across Cool Blew about 14 years ago. What a stroke of luck. I have used them for all my plumbing, A/C and electrical work.
Today my A/C stopped working (on a Sunday). Within 2 hours technician Chris arrived and found a loose wire. Within 45 minutes I had cool air blowing!
I recommend them to all my friends.

I'm not sure why this company has 2 profiles, but I'll leave this same review for both.

This company was sent by my warranty company when my ac was out. Due to miscommunication (on my end, not theirs), took over a week to come out. Diagnosed bad compressor and said it was due to dirty coils that were ""100% clogged"". Said the warranty company wouldn't cover it and I should replace. The unit is over 20 years old, so replacement is coming, but I asked for both replacement and repair cost. They would not give me repair cost breakdown, just said it would be 5k to repair and 8k to replace. I had another company come out and agreed bad compressor and dirty coils, but just regular dirty, not the complete clog, as claimed. I had a couple portable/ window ac units, so I had time to figure things out. Ended up finding another 2 companies who quoted repairs at less than half what cool blew said. The fact they misrepresented how bad the inside coils were and were pushing replacement was bothersome. I'm sure they're good at some things, but I wouldn't recommend and will request a different provider from the warranty company in the future.

They wanted $1800 to install a $300 to $350 compressor fan motor

Temps were above 110 and my AC unit's compressor fan motor stopped working. So, I had no AC. CoolBlew's technician came and decided that, yes, the fan motor would need to be replaced. But he didn't have a replacement on the truck. The motor would need to be ""special ordered,"" and it would be expensive.

Back at the Cool Blew office, Robbie was supposedly working on getting a replacement, took two days. The cost would be $1773. Robbie told me he could not get the motor for less than $1100. Fact is, later I found out by my own research, replacements for that specific fan motor (exact replacement) could be purchased for as little as $263, and from most suppliers for between $300 and $350, including the cost of shipping.

So, what happened? They tried to take a huge advantage of me. It's that simple. I got the replacement installed by a different company for less than 1/2 of what Cool Blew wanted. And as for that motor being ""special,"" it's an HD44AE232, very common, so common that anyone can buy one off of amazon or ebay.

As for the delay with CoolBlew while they supposedly searched for a replacement motor? I suspect that nonsense is part of how they planned to get me to pay $1800 for a job that I could get done for less than 1/2 that price. I expect that sort of tactic--make you wait and you will become much more agreeable--it's what they do.

TAKE BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! Tech showed up 3hrs late, left the panel wide open, and then the call center lady did not believe me about the condition my AC UNIT was left in by the tech. Absolutely refused to help me, laughed at me, and then hung up on me when I requested to talk to her supervisor.

We had are annual ac tune up maintenance and Matt was very professional and accepting of my senior dogs who were in the house. Very polite and even ask me for a broom and dust pan as some insulation fell when he got down from the attic. He also recommended a maintenance plan to cover some additional repairs needed and it was over all a savings so I purchased the plan. You hardly hear about the good and I've worked retail for almost 15 years and I always appreciate it when you finally hear about the good stuff. Thanks Matt and Cool Blew for your continued service and promptness. I will continue to utilize this company on my new home in the up coming months. They also were able to reschedule quickly as something came up with my work schedule. This is how you run a business. Thanks.

I was put in touch with Cool Blew through my home warranty company. Their repair professional, Bob, came to our house and rewired my circuit breaker to bypass my load management system on the house without telling anyone in an effort to fix the air conditioner. I thought there was something wrong with my load management computer and I was informed by their repair person that Cool Blew had bypassed their system for the repair. During the past three months I have had to pay $888.00 in increased SRP bills due to Cool Blew's negligence. I have put in 3 calls to speak with the owner and they refuse to call me back to deal with this significant issue! The ownership at Cool Blew should be ashamed of their leadership and their corresponding poor customer service. You would think with all of the AC companies in the Valley they would respond to dissatisfied customers!!

They need to change their name to ""Screw Blue"", because they'll screw you till you're blue.

The first technician came out last Friday and simply added 2 lbs of freon to our unit. Since he suspected a leak (without looking for one!), he added some sort of additive that's ""supposed"" to fill any leaks in the line. He stated we had about 3 lbs of freon (for an 11 lb unit) and adding another 2lbs should fix it and it worked!

Fast forward 5 days later, my AC is blowing luke warm air again! They sent a different technician who actually took the cover off the AC to confirm there was a leak.

The technician tells us in order to fix the leak he would have to remove the freon currently in the unit, fix the leak and bring the AC unit's freon to full capacity to verify it's not leaking anymore. However if he verified the leak at half of it's capacity (or less), why would he have to fill it to it's capacity to verify the leak? Also why couldn't he simply reclaim and recycle the freon already in the unit?

They make little to no $ on the freon IF they recycle it, but it's $750 ($50 per lb x 11 lb capacity). It's 100+ degrees, so they figure they've got us in a jam. My landlord decides NOT to get screwed till he's blue and my family winds up having to be in a house that's too hot for a second night!

I would NEVER trust this company with one of your home's most valuable resources. And in case you ever wind up in a situation where an AC company tells you they cannot recycle the freon already in your unit, it's either because they're too cheap to have the equipment or they just want to screw you over.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with any business in several years and I would HIGHLY recommend you choose a business who has YOUR best interest in mind, not their own!

Great family owned company. If you need hvac, plumbing or solar they can do it all. I had solar put on my house and the pigeons started to nest under some of them. Scott from Cool Blew took action, and had a pigeon expert come out, get rid of the problem as well as leaned up all the droppings. I am an owner of another hvac company, and work together with other hvac companies often. I definitely send referrals to Cool Blew when my company doesn't accept home warranties they do, or we are just too busy. Highly recommended. When things don't always go the way planned, Cool Blew does make it right when given the opportunity. Great people and great company.

We had issues with three toilets not working correctly and our water regulator was not working. Victor was the person who did the repairs from Cool Blew. I highly recommend him, he was very professional, efficient and explained everything very clearly to us. I would certainly call them again.

Cool Blew has been awesome in helping to sort out our AC problems. Due to what I see as an incompetent builder install with another company, Chas Roberts, I am left having to figure out a way forward in this heatwave. Robbie is quick, courteous and professional with helping us find the solution. I will keep updated as I navigate these waters.

Update: After two complete compressor failures with the builder grade AC (parts covered, labor and freon not), I chose to tear out the POS the Chas Roberts installed. I upgraded to an energy efficient system that blew the other one out of the water. Cool Blew was quick and provided excellent customer service. They have a 24 hr contact along with QA inspection on the new system. Cool Blew is my go to company for now on.
