Recommended Customer Reviews

These are the guys that are inside the Costco in the Atlanta area. I stopped and talked to them about yearly maintenance. They came out and did the inspection and review and told me my heat pump had some major issues and likely needs to be replaced. Honestly I was expecting this comment as it had been poorly maintained and I knew it was quite old. Fast forward 2 days and they come out to provide an estimate for a new system. They recommend a 3 ton multi-stage system for about $8,000. We talk about basic pricing of single stage but I never really got a firm price. A day later I call the sales guy to get a price of the single stage system so I can compare estimates from other companies. I leave several messages but cannot get anyone to call back over the course of a week. I guess they are not looking for customers who are looking to comparison shop and negotiate price

Very good experience through Cool Air over the past two years. Met them whilst checking out at Costco. Yea you pay $150/year but we have a very busy life and having CAM come out twice each year to check on our systems Heating and A/C it's nice to know it's being looked over and at least getting checked on. Our systems are fairly new within the past 4-5 years. We've had different technicians come out and each one has said our systems are in good shape. They haven't tried to """"up sell"""" me on meaningless maintenance. They have informed me about different products ranging from new thermostat technologies and air filtration systems but haven't pushed hard, more of an FYI which I think most consumer prefer. Anyway, they've made me a better & more educated homeowner and without them I wouldn't be changing my filters as often nor breathing in such clean air.

Got 2 AC/furnace units installed. Great service and systems work great. Steven stopped by and checked out systems today. He was very thorough with inspection. Great job. Highly recommend this company.

They don't honor their warranty. I bought through Costco in 2017/2018 and the warranty included parts and labor on maintenance for 10 years provided I kept the preventative maintenance agreement. I have yet today when Tamir replaced a capacitor he charged me. He also tried to charge me for the visit which was prepaid. Cool Air, Is it so hard to honor the contract you offered and sold me? Costco, I expect better from the service providers you endorse.

Very poor customer service. After we had a unit installed we called the sales team and it took over 3 weeks for them to call us back after multiple messages. The prices are higher than competitors and they try to up-charge different services during service calls. We bought a bigger unit based on the sales pitch and later learned we didn't need it.

I am revising my review based upon a Cool Air Service rep reaching out to me because of my negative post below. I recognize circumstances happen but it's how a company responds when an issue occurs that shows the true character of the company. They were apologetic and went above and beyond to make me a happy customer I give 1 Star because I have to to review. Not very happy right now. Made an appointment, 2 weeks in advance as requested, drive 2 hours to meet tech at our lake house for maintenance and at time he was supposed to be here....Canceled! Because the house before me was going to take all day. Seriously, why can't you send out another Tech!?

A girl called me to set up the PM on my new system. She was totally clueless that I had eight (8) systems that I had bought a service contract for FOR SEVEN YEARS. Then, when I told her to make sure they brought the correct filters, she didn't know anything about that either. I had also paid for filters in advance for seven years. She had not even read all the paperwork on what your crew was to do when they got here. I would think that even the most challenged employee would realize that for scheduling purposes alone you would need to know what you are doing when you get to a site. We set up today between 10:00 and noon for an arrival. I am called on Saturday to confirm the appointment and I confirm. Then today, just before 10:00, I call to see what end of the spectrum I will fall on to be told by an employee that someone didn't come in to work so they couldn't come. I guess they were never even going to call me. I asked her if someone was going to call me and tell me that they were not even coming and she said she had no idea. Then I call back and talk to four or so other folks and tell the same story to each of them and then finally get a female manager on the phone and schedule something for Thursday which has completely RUINED my week of vendors. Now the carpet cleaner will be here BEFORE Cool Air. The girl promised me that the men don't even have to come inside to do the PM so the carpets should be fine. Really? I told her that they most certainly did have to come inside and she laughed at me and said that the units were on the outside. Really? I told her the filters most definitely were replaced from the inside. She thinks I'm the idiot. By the way, the manager's excuse was that everyone in town's ac is down and that 15 service calls had to be postponed. That, my friend, is a poorly run business. You don't have enough employees to cover your customers. Fifteen calls postponed? And everyone's unit is down? What does that say about your PM program? In 15 years with Cunningham I never had a system go down. The servicemen replaced sketchy capacitors on the PM and we NEVER HAD A SYSTEM GO DOWN. What are you people doing?

Steven Coleman came out and took a look at my HVAC; the fan would not turn off and the ignighter was coming on while the AC was running. He identified the problem as the control board, called and checked on a replacement availability, informed me when it was in, came back installed it, changed the filter while he was here and he was fast and thorough, both in evaluation and installation and removal of the old board. He was simply amazing in assessing the problem, providing options, making suggestions on what I needed rather than up selling me on something I did not need, and he was professional throughout all of my contact with him. He called when he was in route, quickly made repairs, and was very friendly. I can see why he is a Senior Service Technician. I wish all my mechanical issues with my car and other appliances were handled by people this knowledgable with this level of professionalism. Request Steven. You will not be disappointed!

I'm an HVAC technician licenced to work on HVAC and refrigeration equipment. I bought a house with a new AC with their labels on it about two years ago. They put locking caps on my equipment that require a key to remove. I've been in this industry for 6 years and never had them on a unit I worked on. I've called multiple times to have them removed so I can fix my HVAC system but they say they'll send someone out and don't. These caps cost extra to install and only exist to make it difficult for other service providers to work on equipment to force you to pay them for the service calls. It's a scam they run to increase there customer base by forcing you to use them. Do t use this company.

I got them through Costco and I would never recommend them to anyone. I have had problems from day one. Now they claim my thermostat can't connect to the hub due to they would have to do electrical work but they charged me for the higher price one. Stated they would contact me on a price change and no one has called. I feel like calling the news station on them. This is ridiculous!!! My neighbors asked why they come to the house so much and I told them. They said they won't be using them.
