Recently water softener issue and need service assistance. The technician who came was Kaleb. While he was here we had several other minor plumbing issue which he addressed. Kaleb was very friendly, professional, and responsive. He pointed out some other issues with suggestions on how we might address. We have a service agreement with Connors so cost was lessened, plus I had a $50 coupon from them.
There maybe cheaper plumbing services out there but once again for us they have delivered excellent, timely service when we needed it. Kaleb was great to work with and seemed to know what he was doing, We value that.
Similar to reviewer Roanne, A/C started having problems after only 2 years. They disn't find anything until a second service call, then diagnosed a leak, and quoted over $1k to replace a part under warranty.
Extremely overpriced. quoted $69 just to evauate job which I had already discussed the problem and the fix. Only good quality is prompt service, but even through located 35 miles away, they have trucks locally in my area every day but still charge everybody 69 for travel time from their location.
They showed up a half hour late, yet grauntee to be on time They sent two techs to fix a simple wax toilet ring for which they quoted $475 and another $665 if they had to fix the toilet flange. Parts on amazon less than $20 bucks. That's over $1100 for a 1/2 hour job. That would ,for two techs, over $450 each per 1/2 hour. I'm not paying some guy to stand around watching while the other guy fixes it. How do I know its a rip off?
I installed the toilet over 10 years ago myself. Only called because of health reasons or I would have fixeds it myself. Guess I,ll call my son and show him....
Be carefull about reveiws on BBB, I beleive that they are company produced. Just comapre to Yelp reveiws
STAY AWAY and Do NOT use Connors Plumbing and Heating from Waseca MN! The 1 year old air conditioner THEY installed... stopped working after 1 summer of minimal use (maybe 20 days max). We paid $450 LABOR to diagnose the problem as a ""bad compressor"", then $1600 in LABOR to install a new compressor (all parts covered under warranty). In the end, we paid over $2000 in labor charges to fix an air conditioner that was used less than 20 days. This company charges around $300 per hour for labor. DO NOT use this company! I was ripped off and will continue to warn unsuspecting people!
OMG! I sure got ripped off by Conners! The only good thing was that they were able to come right away. I needed a new outside faucet and was charged over $400! (took less than 15 min). Then, I had them check the toilet because it was leaking, and they charged me $475! Plus, he had to go to the store to buy a putty knife and then again for some longer bolts. OK, what do they carry in their trucks? They also told me I needed new piping, and a second opinion said I do not need new pipes.....they are fine.
I had checked before calling them, but saw 5 stars, so figured they were ok.
The plumber that came was very nice, and I'm sure just charging what they teach them to charge.....not his fault they overcharge (that's an understatement)!
If I could rate them less than 1 star, I would!
This place is a SCAM as far as I am concerned...on so many levels! First, they are listed online under different names. I thought I was calling Kato Plumbing and Heating and was impressed with their immediate response and availability to come for a look through and estimate the next morning. I had looked at reviews for ""Kato"" and found 5 star rating with nearly 1000 reviews. I wondered what the deal was with a Connors Plumbing & Heating truck pulled in the driveway, but didn't ask any questions. The gentlemen to appeared was very gracious and full of information. They were charging a $59 service fee for just looking around and providing a quote. After a brief look around, where I explained to ""Eric"" my deceased husband had been in hospice at home for a few months prior to his death. I believed that two of our newly installed toilets were a bit loosened during that time. I also wanted a garbage disposal moved from one drain to another in a double sink and a touch faucet needed to be grounded appropriately. He went out to his van for about 20 minutes and returned with a quote. $410 each to redo a wax ring on two toilets, $460 to move the garbage disposal, and $263 to ground the faucet for a total of $1500 with the service charge. I was dumbfounded. I knew very little about plumbing, but had some idea given that the cost of the brand-new toilets we had installed was less than the quoted repair for parts and labor!!! Eric also tries to sell me on a maintenance program for $12.95 a month that I now know would have provided them an opportunity to come out and find other opportunities for rip off!
I immediately when online to review ""Connors"" and found several horrible reviews and a 3-star rating. First scam! Then I called two other plumbing companies and received quotes over the phone, for the same work to be completed within a week, between $450 and $550. One-third the cost!!! I was astonished! I really felt like they were just taking advantage of what they thought was an aging widow who probably knew nothing about plumbing or the internet. What a shock!
I agree...prompt and friendly but it ends there! A scam is a scam is a scam and I would still feel singled out by their play, but after reading all the other reviews now that I have their true company name, it appears that this is their mode of doing business! Awful!!!
Service was prompt and friendly, but their pricing is ridiculous. They charged me a $59 trip charge just to come. That's probably standard, but that must include their gas, vehicle maintenance, and some mileage at least. Nope. They charged me for all that too, according to their customer service, as well office fees, insurance, and traveling to their warehouse to get the part. In all, it cost me $363 just to replace a faucet cartridge that took the tech 5 minutes to do. (You can buy this cartridge online for $40, so they should be able to get it from their supplier for no worse than $60.) So, what was the remaining $264 for?? All that other stuff.
Their scam is that they try to get you to sign up for their service partner program (about a $14 monthly fee) by saying you can save 15% on this visit. The problem is that their prices are at least 100% too high, even post COVID.
I like their techs, but I'll never call them again.
Anne M.Prompt and friendly but it ends there. We were given estimates first to replace a year old sump pump of over 1000.00 and over 500.00 to repair its piping. We paid 49.00 dollars just to get this inflated estimate. We got a second opinion from the other major plumbing company in Waseca who came and repaired our problem for under 100.00. When conditions are dry they will replace the piping for a fraction of Connors estimate to do a temporary fix. Save your 49.00 and call their competitor. You will get an honest estimate that wont cost an arm and a leg. Im extremely dissapointed we had to pay 49.00 for this inflated sham of an estimate. I greatly appreciate the refund for the service call. Thats great customer service which means alot to us so thank you! I changed the one star to three because you stand behind your company and reached out to make things right with us.
Penny L.Very friendly service and also very prompt service. They do not give you the run around either and are straight forward with you and what you will need and how much it will cost. They work on more varieties of heating systems than other businesses around here. They will come out after business hours, and will do what they can to help you out at that time. They have saved us a couple of times when our furnace stopped working in the Winter. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I called Gehring Plumbing in January for a repair and the call was answered ""Gehring Plumbing how can we help you"". They said they would send over someone the next morning. The next morning a Connors Plumbing truck arrived. I found out they got Gehring's number after Gehrings had gone out of business several months earlier and they added Gehrings number to their phone.
I call that misrepresentation.
The service man looked at my water heater exhaust pipe that had developed a hole in it and said he could fix it right away. An hour and 5 minutes later he presented me a bill for $267.44. I was blown away. He explained that he could knock off $40 for the service call if I signed up for the monthly partner membership plan on sale for $10.63 per month. As long as I was in the plan I would never be charged for the $40 dollar service call. I live in a older house with mostly original plumbing so the plan seemed to make sense and save $40 today. I paid him half, including the first month of the service plan that he needed for January.
A week later the $10.63 was subtracted again from my checking account.
I had to call the office and explain their error to get the charges reversed.
Do the math...charged about $267.44 per hour for a service call, parts ( one galvanized pipe ) and labor. That is better than $200 an hour for a plumber.
I hope nothing goes wrong my plumbing for the next year.
I thought $65 an hour was bad the last time I called a plumber.
They will not get any more business from me.
